The room is plain with two beds, two wardrobes, tea desks and two chairs, you could tell with just a glance that no one lived in the room; Diana walked to one of the wardrobes and pulled out a pale, lime green dressing gown. She couldn't stay in her current clothes they were drenched. As she slipped into it, its long sleeves draping down from her arms "What a hassle, why are they sending a letter now?"

She knew she wouldn't be able to sleep that night and not because of the storm that was hounding at the walls, so instead she wondered outside along the cold corridors her bare feet warm in comparison to the cold, stone floor. The corridors were empty and filled with silence as she wondered along but after awhile she heard a child's cries.

Walking towards the room she recognised who's tears they were, so sh gently pushed the door open and slipped inside shutting it silently behind her "Anne, are you alright?" The poor girl jumped out of her skin but when she realised who it was she jumped out her bed, teddy bear hugged close to her chest and ran to Diana who scooped her up into her arms. "Why are you crying?" she asked brushing a stray strand of hair out of her face.

"Th-the storm it's s-scary,"

"Don't worry it can't hurt you," Diana soothed, sipping away the girls tears.

"But I'm not as s-strong as you, or as b-brave,"

"You know what brings me strength?" D Diana asked smiling at the little girl who's tears had stopped their flow.

"N-no,"

"The people who I choose to protect and the people who I care for, they are the ones who give me my strength and my courage," Diana explained but unbeknownst to her a raven haired man had over heard before he disappeared back into his room.

"B-but what if y-you have no one t-to fight f-for?"

Diana tucked the small girls fringe behind her ears before replying "Then fight for yourself."

Anne smiled at these words "Can you tell me a story?"

"Of course I can," Diana smiled as she tucked the chocolate haired girl into bed "There once lived a beautiful ebony haired girl named Nailah, her skin the colour of an oak tree she was loved by all, a her. Rumours speed like wild fire among the people about the warrior who's ebony hair was alway worn in short, thin plats that flowed behind her as she rode her chestnut horse. She was a hero but she was lonely, for never did people see her as herself but just as the hero who had saved them.

"She grew tired and longed for those who saw her for her until one fateful day she stumbled upon a girl the same age as her, she too had ebony black hair but hers flowed to her waste. Her skin was the same as hers it was like finding a sister who she never knew she had. Together they found a place in the world and formed a life where it didn't matter that Nailah was a hero, it just mattered that together they knew know one was who they showed to the world; at least not always." Soon she heard the soft sound of steady breaths and found Anna tucked up a sleep her teddy hugged close to her chest. "Sleep tight." Diana whispered before silently leaving the room.

She wondered along the corridor her night gown sweeping across the floor until she heard the birds sing their morning songs and returned to her room. Her clothes were still far to wet to wear so she went to the wardrobe instead and pulled out a navy blue top which hung just below her shoulders its long skin tight sleeves flowing at the bottom. Her ebony trousers fitted perfectly as she slipped on a pair of velvety naval blue boots.

As she was beginning to plat her hair infant of the wardrobe doors mirror she heard a knock at the door "Come in," she called but as the door opened she wasn't expecting Liam and Hunter to jump on the closest bed as Kylo chastised them.

"You can't just barge into a lady's room,"

"She said 'come in'" Hunter argued wresting his boots against the head wrest.

"And I've been doing it for years," Liam piped "although she did normally throw me out after yelling at me."

"Did you need something?" Diana asked from infront of the mirror still trying to plat her hair.

"We came to see if you were up," Kylo answered still nagging at the others.

"Do you want a hand with that?" Alex asked walking up behind her, before she could answer he took the strands of silver hair out of her hands and started platting it for her.

"Get a room!" Hunter joked.

"This is my room," Diana retorted as nonchalant as ever but a mischievous twinkle gleamed in her eyes.

"All done," Alex piped up dropping the end of her plat "let's go before the kids steal all the food."

"What?!" Hunter and Liam yelled bouncing to their feet and running for the door elbowing at each other to get through the door before falling out in a bundle and running toward the dinning hall. Shoving at each other as they ran, stumbling over their own feet.

"What are we going to do with them?" Kylo laughed as they followed behind them. They ate a breakfast surrounded by laughter and hugs when Ken, Ben, Meldy and Milly saw Diana and asked her millions of questions which were followed be the swarm of questions from the other children until it was finally time to go, when the rein had slowed to a drizzle.

"I thought they were going to hold us hostage," Liam giggled as they all rode back to the palace.

"I don't know what you did but they sure love you Diana," Hunter smiled like a cat as he said this.

The happy mood was soon washed away s they arrived at the palace and they were quickly ushered towards the kings office where Crystal, Maddy, Queen Valeria and King Brian were waiting for them.

"Father what's so urgent?" Alex asked as they all stood around the king's desk, the queen taking up her place on the right side of him.

"We received a letter from the royal family of Malum kingdom, in it they so kindly informed us that their daughter is coming here and from what we can tell she'll be arriving sometime either today or tomorrow." King Brian informed them all.

"Are you certain?" Alex asked.

"Yes," Queen Valeria replied "but we don't know why she's coming."

"It's preposterous," Maddy exclaimed "three of their spies kidnapped Alex and Diana if we weren't at war already that would have been reason enough to start a war with Malum Kingdom."

"And we agree with you on that," King Brian sighed "and they very well know that."

"So what reason could they possibly be coming here?" Crystal asked the question they were all wondering.

"Could it be to try and make a political alliance?" Kylo suggested.

"Maybe to try and mend relationships between our two kingdoms?" Hunter added.

"It could be in attempts to strike a political marriage, by sending their daughter here she could be the one in charge of the arrangements." Liam spoke for the first time since entering the room, up to now he had been too dumbfounded to speak but now everyone was staring at him dumbfounded "what?" he defended "she's fifteen she's almost of age, it wouldn't be so odd for her to have a two year engagement to a crown prince."

"He does have a point," King Brian spoke rolling over the idea "and it wouldn't be a way to mend bonds between the two kingdoms."

"Brian!!!" Queen Valeria gasped her ruby lips parting in shock.

"Valeria, my love, I never said I'd agree to it." He defended against her cold glare.

"What do you think Diana?" Alex asked and the whole rooms attention was instantly focused on her. Liam looked nervous for her though.

"Yes, you know them better than any of us. At leased any of us now a days." Queen Valeria sighed.

Diana paused for a moment she had been wondering what their plan was since she heard what was in the letter "I think that we can't know for sure until she's here after all it'll only be speculations and I know from experience they don't always do the most moral thing in a situation."

They malled over this for awhile and through theories back and forth until the sky had turned crimson and they were all dismissed for the night, still no closer to finding out Malum's motives.

As everyone vanished into the corridors Liam pulled Diana a side "What are we going to do?" he hissed.

"Nothing," was Diana's blunt and cold reply.

"What do you mean nothing?"

"Exactly what I said I don't know what their planing but I will expose this lie until then you need to act like everything's normal you'll know when to step in," and with that she turned on her heels walking away.

"How will I know?" he yelled after her as quietly as possible and only then did she stop to turn around an un-namable glint entering her ocean blue eyes.

"I'll be being me," she called leaving him utterly confused, as she disappeared down the corridor of to find Alex. For what was to come she needed to know he trusted her enough to believe her when the time came.
