Velina was a little surprised to see Nadine's diary that was open right in front of her eyes.
Her heart was tingling with curiosity, however, she knew very well that it was simply not right at all.
If she read the diary, then she had completely invaded Nadine's privacy.
But, according to her, this was the only way to know Nadine's real personality.
At least, it was a way she could do secretly to try to understand Nadine a little bit more so that she could do the right way to approach her, which was very mysterious and introverted.
Then, Velina made a decision.
She took the cellphone from the pocket of her jeans, then she opened an application that she made by herself. In the application, she searched Nadine's phone numbers and scanned the location of her whereabouts.
Hmmm... Indeed, Nadine was still in her office.
Velina then typed something. Then, she put her cell phone back into her trouser pocket.
Then, she pulled out a chair and sat on it.
Her hands rested on Nadine's desk.
If Nadine was already within five kilometers away from Velina, her cellphone would vibrate, reminded her that Nadine was near.
Her chest shook violently. She had never done anything like this before. Her hands trembled as she opened the first page of Nadine's diary.
"Nadine… Let me read your diary, please! I'm sorry!" Velina said to the diary as if she was speaking directly to her little sister.
The diary was not too thick, medium in size, not too big, and not too small. Fit to carry anywhere.
Velina frowned, then she turned page after page, tried to figure out something.
After she noticed something, it turned out that Nadine did not often write in her diary, it seemed that she only wrote something if there were events that she thought were important to note down.
What made her frown was, it turned out that the diary was ten years old! And what was even more surprising was that the diary was gifted by Velina for Nadine's tenth birthday anniversary!.
Eventually, she had completely forgotten about the gift she had given to Nadine.

Dear Diary,
This diary was given by my beautiful sister, Nana for my birthday! I felt very happy and sad at the same time! Because it means that I can no longer play with her anymore as she is happy to live in Hang Zhao at the moment... T_T
Yesterday, my sister came home, I extremely missed her! It seems that she was living a comfortable life in Hang Zhao, from yesterday she did not tire of talking about her daily life in China.
She said she gave this diary to me because she did not live at home anymore, so I must be lonely...
Even though Nana came home, I couldn't play with her. Because of my unfortunate illness, I had to do some check-up with a doctor, while Nana and Rino went for a walk. T_T
Why am I being the only one who is sick while they are doing okay? It's not that I want my two other siblings to get sick or something, but I'm so sick, I had to go to the hospital and can't play with them! Oh God, why is life so unfair?
I hate needles the most!
I often wondered, were my two siblings secretly angry because I was the cause of my mother's death? Was my illness a punishment from God because my mother died? Then why don't I just die?
This morning, I just found out.
It turned out that Nana already had new little siblings in Hang Zhao. From what I heard, it said, they were twins. I have never met or seen them in person.
But, according to my father, the boy named Li Jun, is very good at martial arts, while Li Wanwan, is very smart, even closer to a genius.
Maybe that's the reason why Nana likes them more than she liked me?
I'm sick and useless !. Even Rino often said that I was stupid!
I am happy, Nana gave this gift to me, but, if I could choose, I would prefer that my sister stays beside me to share our feelings instead of this stupid book!
Tonight, I will check the sky, hopefully, tonight there will be a meteor shower! I've made a list to pray to the stars.
It's been a while, dear diary, the nurse just called me. Bye!

Velina swallowed the non-existent saliva.
Her throat was choked.
She turned page after page. The more she read, the hotter her eyes felt. Tears incessantly flowed from her cheeks unintentionally.
She never thought, behind her quiet and sharp-mouthed younger sister, it turned out that she had so many disappointments and felt all alone.
The existence of their grandfather and father, as well as many people who work in their home, could not fill the void in her heart.
She suddenly felt embarrassed, all this time, even though she was always being nice to her younger sister, but in her heart, she was always felt jealous because Nadine was loved and cared for by her grandfather and father.
Nadine did not live like her that was being left in the 'wild' all alone. In the past, she felt like she was a kitten that had just grown up, but being abandon by her mother, as if they did not want to know each other anymore.
When Velina was deep in thought, suddenly her cellphone vibrated, she then checked the notification from her cellphone which indicated that Nadine was already near home.
She then stood up, put Nadine's diary and the stool in their original place, checked everything, so that it looked the same as when she had not entered Nadine's room.
After she made sure that everything was okay, she then came out of Nadine's room, walked slowly towards the railing that bordered the first and second floors. From above, she could look down.
Not long after, she saw Nadine walked into the house, her face looked very tired.
Velina looked closely at Nadine, her sister who was only at the age of twenty this year, somehow looked older than her real age.
Maybe this was due to her fairly conservative style of dress which not in the current trend.
Nadine was indeed a cool girl, she did not follow fashion trends, her days were busy with works, various kind of meetings, and in her spare time, she preferred to be in her room, read business magazines or played in the stock markets and checked the progress through an app on her tablet.
As she was climbing the stairs, Nadine noticed Velina who was standing, leaned herself against the railing on the second floor, looked in her direction from top to toe.
"What is wrong?" she asked, looked indifferent. Her face looked very tired.
"Eh? Nothing... No problem!" she replied clumsily.
In her heart, Velina still felt very guilty for violating her sister's privacy.
When Nadine was almost at the door of her room, Velina suddenly called out to her.
"Nadine!"
Her younger sister turned her head, waited for her to continue.
"Are you busy tomorrow?".
Nadine frowned, but then shook her head.
