The knight and the empire

When they were done celebrating they slept for a whole day before packing up and going back to the capital. The travel back took longer than before because of the massive amount of wounded soldiers and loot. When they were back at the capital Dante was enlisted in the royal knight training.

The training was many times harder than before because these knights were special and were chosen from extremely loyal and powerful knights. He was chosen because he had been training since he was two to the age of fifteen. The royal knights were trained in their own arts to the extreme to be able to protect the king.

He also got to meet the king himself, the king was seen as the supreme leader in the kingdom, and even being in his presence is considered an honor. When he met the king he impliedly bowed before him. This was because he had trained for years in the art of deceit and wanted to seem as loyal as posable.

The king then gave him an inspiring speech about how much of an honor it is to be a royal knight and said that he had been chosen. Upon hearing this Dante acted as if he was extremely thankful and thanked the king for the chance to get such a position.

The royal knight training was extremely hard and he almost fell unconscious but he managed to stay conscious. He was the only recruit that was able to stay conscious for the entire training but after a month the others could keep up.

Due to him training his fighting arts with armor-piercing and mobility to fully use death touch. He trained by piercing metal walls with his hands without skills. He broke both his hands and arms but quickly regenerated them. He was known for his extreme endurance so they weren't afraid of hurting or scaring him so they had his training to the extreme.

When he turned eighteen he was already ready to fight along with the royal knights so they made him even stronger. They made him train mostly his mobility due to him already having extreme armor piercing.

He had also been with the kingdom on many wars and battles. The kingdom had begun conquering the kingdoms around it and announcing itself as the Pieve Empire. He had personally lead armies conquering three kingdoms.

The empire as able to do this because of the Pieve Empire having large amounts of dungeons and having advanced their magic. The empire had several mages that specialized and advanced different spells and teaching them to other mages. This was partly due to them conquering other kingdoms and taking their research.

He now stood two meters tall covered in muscles. He now wore easily taken off clothes and went into the battle with no clothes and armor from the waist up. He had also stopped growing his hair and kept it at his back and had also begun to grow a beard.

The other kingdoms however began to create an alliance that would fight back against the empire. The alliance was made from a multitude of kingdoms around the Empire but they were unorganized due to their recent creation. The war between the Pieve empire and the alliance was at a standstill due to the Pieve empire being surrounded.

Dante however was just about to make something that would change the fate of the empire. He had created cogs and gears. This might not sound like much but they would be the start of mages experimenting in both magic and machines boosting the power of the empire. To make them popular he gave the design to a famous earth mage.

The earth mage was amazed by the usefulness and began to experiment with the gears. He created a basic tool that could be put on wheels where you just have to turn a wheel on top to move the wheels. These might seem basic but they were revolutionary and helped the empire bring resources faster. On earth, this might not be so effective but due to the extreme strength of people on this planet, they could move large amounts of resources at former unbelievable speeds.

This also started a new trend that caused the lives of many slaves. The empire began to create giant vehicles powered by slaves that had to spin the wheels and transporting resources. While all of this was happening Dante was observing.
