"Do you mind if I test out how durable this sword is? I don't want me wasting money on a sword that'll break easily." I said.
"Go ahead, but don't be upset if your sword breaks." Ellie said with a smirk.
I took both the obsidian sword and my old steel sword and readied my steel sword and struck the obsidian blade quickly. The obsidian sword broke in half, the top half falling to the floor. I turned towards Ellie and saw how she looked almost as broken as the sword she made.
"That's the thing with obsidian swords, they might be sharp but break easily. Probably would have been better to make arrows out of them if you ask me." I said.
I turned to look at Ellie and saw that her face was completely filled with rage. Ellie jumped over the counter and stomped her way towards me, grabbing me by my shirt and lifting me up.
"Do you have any idea how long I spent working on that weapon? Two goddamn months, that's how long it took me. So here's what you're gonna do, you're gonna help me gather the materials I need to make a new one." Ellie said, giving me the death glare.
"Can it wait? I've got an important quest I need to go on that involves stopping bandits from attacking a village." I said.
"Fine, but I'm coming with you so you don't end up running away from me." Ellie said. She threw me to the floor and walked opened the door. Before Ellie closed the door she turned around and gave me one more death glare. Ellie then turned around and slammed the door shut.
"How is it that a girl who seems so nice can turn into someone who will kill you in an instance?" I asked myself.
I let out a sigh and stood back up. I opened the door and left the shop and saw Ellie once more. I slowly moved away from her keeping a safe distance between her and me.
"So uh, I don't know where you're going so you're gonna have to lead the way." Ellie said. She looked like she went back to her happy side which made me let out a sigh of relief.
"I've got friends waiting for me at the the north exit, from there it'll take maybe four hours until we reach the village." I said.
I turned towards the direction of the north exit and made my way towards it with Ellie following close behind me.
We didn't speak during the short time it took for us to arrive at the exit. The only noises that were made came from the villagers around us.
"Looks like John has finally arrived and with a friend no less, what's the story between you two?" Asked Steven.
"I broke her obsidian sword and now she's pissed at me and wants me to get her the materials she needs to make a new one. But for now she's just making sure I don't run away from her." I answered. Steven gave Ellie and funny look.
"Shouldn't she know that obsidian blades break easily? If she's from the weapon smiths she should know that should she not?" Asked Steven.
Ellie turned towards Steven and glared at him. Steven took a step back from her and turned away.
"Ok everyone, lets not waste anymore time. We need to start heading towards the village." Said Bubbles.
