"You guys aren't going to leave me upside down tied to this tree right?" The man said in a panic. I turned my eyes towards him and gave him a devious smile.
"Don't worry, we'll be back. Probably." I said. I turned around and walked away from the man.
After a longer than expected journey we had finally arrived at the village. The village looked to be rather peaceful than what I was expecting.
"Halt, before I can let you in you must know the password. Until you get it I won't allow you to enter the city." Said the guardsman. I turned around and looked at everyone but they just shrugged.
"The password is... password?" I said. The guardsman looked surprised that I got the password and opened the gates.
I looked around the village in confusion as to why the village seemed so peaceful. I continued looking around until someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around to see a man with grey hair looking at me with amusement.
"So you're the adventurers that the village hired. I must say you do look promising, at least more than the other adventurers. Before we fight though I think you deserve a meal, my subordinates seemed to have tired you out." The man said with a smile.
"I'm sorry, what? Wait, are you the leader of the bandits? Daz I think, right?" I asked. Daz nodded and continued giving me a smile.
"You have the entire rest of the day to prepare for our little fight, I'd rather you not waste it." Daz said with a concerning look. In the distance I could hear someone yell Daz's name causing him to wave me goodbye and take off.
"I was not expecting this at all. I'm gonna buy a new sword now since mine is on the verge of breaking." I said. I waved my friends goodbye and began looking for a blacksmiths.
After I found the blacksmith, I purchased my new sword and returned to my group. As I made my way to them I noticed that Daz was talking to them. Daz noticed me coming and waved at me. I let out a small smirk and shook my head.
"So by talking to these guys I found out your name's John. Anyway, before you fight me I'll put you through multiple challenges. Once you complete all of them you'll finally be able to fight me." Daz Explained.
"Are you actually a bad guy? I was expecting some merciless bandit leader who leaves no survivors." I said.
"We have the power to do stuff like that but I find that kind of thing boring. I don't kill innocent villagers, only adventurers who challenge me." Said Daz with the same smile he's had.
"Well how many have you killed?" I said worryingly. Daz stayed silent for a second. Daz let out a bigger smile.
"How many loafs of bread have you eaten?"
