As we ran through the forest we could hear the explosions that Crimson was setting off. As we ran I felt something hit the top of my head. I raised my head to see what hit me and saw that the clouds were dark.
The rain came almost instantly, causing everyone to get soaked. We still ran towards where Crimson was despite the weather. The explosions became harder to hear as the storm went on.
"This path leads towards an old shrine located on the mountain. If I'm guessing correctly, that temple is where she's heading." Said Ashe.
We continued running through the forest until we reached where the mountains began. There were stairs that went up the mountain that were made out of stone. Without hesitation we ran up the stairs as fast as possible.
As we got further up the mountain we noticed that the stairs began to disappear. We kept running up the mountain until we reached a cave entrance. We all looked at each other before entering. We took out our weapons and entered the cave slowly.
A dripping noise echoed through the cave. Inside the cave were multiple gems which had different colors. As we ventured deep into the cave we heard footsteps in the distance. We began to pick up the pace and run after the noise.
The path we were running on was a narrow one. It could just barely fit the four of us. As we ran deeper and deeper we found a small area that looked like a mine.
The area had carts scattered around the room. Pickaxes we're leaning against some of the carts and helmets were scattered around the room.
As we walked further into the area part of the cave collapsed blocking where we came from. There was no going back now.
We continued running towards where we thought the footsteps were and saw a bright light. We ran towards it at full speed to see what awaited us.
When we exited the cave we saw that the storm had gotten worse. In front of us stood the small shrine that Ashe had mentioned. As we walked closer to it we saw Crimson walk out from behind it.
"Looks like you made it in one piece, and you brought some friends along. I'll start whenever you're ready." Crimson said
I readied my katana and watched Crimson for any movements. Everyone else I was with also readied their weapon. I walked closer to Crimson and she did the same. A small red ring surrounded us.
"I'm not able to use that beam yet John. Thankfully, that was just one of my magic abilities. All I need you to do is fight her and try to get an opening." My katana said.
Ashe, Bahn, and Steven all walked up to me and waited for me to start the fight. I felt reassured by their presence and prepared myself for the battle.
