Speed

I listened to my surroundings, trying to hear any footsteps. I could hear a faint thumping noise coming from my left so I quickly moved my weapon to my left and braced.

The sudden impact of Morgan's attack pushed me backwards into a tree. When I finally opened my eyes I saw Morgan standing there with a big grin on his face.

"Seems you've learned how to predict my movements. I guess I'll have to try a little harder now." Morgan said, changing his stance.

Morgan began to run around me at speeds of which I'd never seen before. Morgan was moving so fast that it seemed like there were multiple copies of him. I carefully watched around me to see which Morgan was the real one. Before I could make a decision, Morgan changed where he was running.

Morgan flew by me and landed a punch to my stomach. I nearly fell over but kept my footing and prepared for a counter attack. But as I turned around Morgan was now next to me and landed a kick to my side causing me to let go of Genki.

I slid across the dirt from Morgan's attack just to get hit by another one right behind me. His attack sent me right towards another one of his attacks. I quickly raised my arms to block his kick but Morgan just moved behind me and elbowed me to the ground.

"Maybe thirty percent was too much for you to handle. I probably should have just went five percent." Morgan said, offering his hand to me.

I slowly raised my head and gave him a confused look, "you're telling me you weren't even going all out? If you're this strong than the boss of each floor must be even more powerful than you." I said, grabbing onto Morgan's hand so he could help me to my feet.

"They're not that hard. We beat the boss rather easily. The only reason why it's taken us so long to clear the all the floors was the amount of monsters that crawl around in there." Morgan explained.

As I stood there with Morgan I saw Alice and Serene alongside Chuck running up to us. Everyone saw how beat up I looked and gave Morgan a nasty glare. Chuck let out a small sigh and walked up to Morgan with an annoyed look.

"Sir, how many times must I tell you that you can't keep beating up new adventurers? You're so fast that almost nobody can keep up with you." Chuck said, shooting me an apologetic look.

"Relax Chuck. He actually did pretty well against me. Well he did when I was only using five percent of my strength." Morgan shrugged.

Alice ran up to me and began to start chanting one of her healing spells. Her hands began to glow a green color and all my injuries began to fade away. Once everything was healed up I collapsed on the floor.

"Healing magic would be so much better if it didn't cause the person to become tired after being used on it." Alice sighed.
