Basement Brawl

Kerrin lifted his arm and aimed at towards me. I braced myself for what was to come but before anything could happen a small shard of ice wizzed by his head. He seemed to be caught of gauged by what just happened and turned to see where the shard came from.

"Ren. Deal with them as I fight with this kid." Kerrin said, pointing towards Alice, Serene, and Ashe.

While he was distracted I propelled myself forward using Genki's laser. By the time it to Kerrin to turn back towards me I was already in front of him and punched him across the face. I continued the moment by using Genki's laser again and launched myself into the air. I aimed in on Kerrin and launched myself with a beam one last time.

"Magic Slash!" I yelled, swinging my blade at Kerrin.

Right as I was about to hit him I saw a smile on his face. I quickly stopped Magic Slash and instead used Genki to propel me away from him. I don't know how but I felt that if I struck him he would have killed me.

"Nice reflexes. I'm sure you already know this but if you had attacked me at that moment you would have died. Let's continue our fight shall we?" Kerrin said, running at me.

I charged back at him and readied Genki. As we got closer I saw that there were two rings floating in front of them. The rings began to glow and a blade emerged from them. Kerrin grabbed onto the sword and continued charging at me.

Our blades clashed once we came into contact. Kerrin pushed me back and used his arm to aim at me again. Before anything happened another ice shard came out of nowhere this time hitting him in the arm he was aiming with. Alice jumped behind him and kicked him away.

"Serene and Ashe seemed to be holding off Ren pretty well on their own so I decided to help. You don't mind that do you?" Alice said, giving me a smirk.

"Fine by me." I said, running over to Alice and turning towards Kerrin.

Kerrin jumped up off the ground and wiped the blood off his mouth. He swung his arms in a circle as if he was stretching. We shrugged at each other and aimed in on him. Alice began shooting round of ice shards while I shot multiple lasers.

Kerrin picked up his sword that was laying on the ground and used it to defend himself from all out attacks. He looked at the blade for a moment before returning his attention back to us. He aimed his blade towards us and shot a beam. I barely had anytime to push Alice out of the way and get myself to safety.

"What the hell Kerrin?! You trying to kill me too? We're partners here so don't go and destroy everything. At the very least you can tune down your Genmochi's power." Ren's voice came from the other side of the room.
