The beach was calm and quiet. The only noise that could be heard was the water crashing into the sand. My hair blew with the wind as I stood there. It was just so... boring.
"How much longer will it take until my arms heal? Erika won't give me an exact number and it's ticking me off." I said to myself.
A month had passed since the fight with Kerrin and Ren. Serene had left to go back to her village while Alice decided to stay with me. I had no clue where everyone else went though. I don't know if they were still rebuilding the damaged part of town or if they left.
"If I remember correctly there should be a town if I follow the river south. I'll also pass by Eli's manor so I can tell him the news about the diamond." I said, looking south.
The area around me was getting darker letting me know that it was time to go back towards the town. I took one last good look at the ocean before turning back and walking away.
After finally returning to the town I made my way towards the place I was staying. The streets weren't as crowded as before allowing me to get back home without any trouble.
"I wonder if anyone's home right now." I said, putting my hand on the doorknob.
I noticed my arm shaking and brought back my hand. I watched as my arm shook uncontrollably. 'At least it doesn't hurt to grab on to things anymore' I thought.
After walking into the building and walking up the stairs I finally arrived at my room. I opened up the door and saw Morgan sitting on the couch talking with Alice. They both stopped talking and turned towards me.
"Morgan? I didn't think you'd be back so soon. How are the floors coming along?" I asked.
"We're stuck on floor fifteen right now but that's not important. I came here to check on you and make sure you were ok." Morgan said, giving me a worried look.
"I appreciate the concern but I'm fine-ish. I'm gonna head to my room now. It was nice talking to you again Morgan." I said, waving him goodbye.
I opened the door to my room and made sure to shut it behind me. I stood there for a moment before slumping on the ground. I raised my hands so I could see them and looked at all the scars I had on them. My arms continued to shake as I did.
I took a deep breath and stood back up. I walked over to my bed and laid down on it. I could still feel my arms shaking but decided to ignore it and fall asleep.
