"Actually, could you two give us a moment? I want to talk to him in private." Ichino said, giving both Alice and Akio a smile before dragging me away
I ended up getting dragged all the way to the other side of the room and onto a balcony. In the distance I could see the town we were in as well as the lights from Serene's village. If Ichino didn't walk up next to me I probably would have been stuck looking at the view.
"So what do want to talk about?" I asked, putting my hands on the railing.
He pulled out a cigarette from the pocket on his coat and held it, "just wanted to know what's going on with you and Alice."
He pulled out a lighter to light his cigarette but stopped himself. He turned around and threw the box of cigarettes in the trash can. Despite how far the trash can was he made it look easy.
I cleared my throat, "to answer your question, Alice saved me when I first entered the tree. After that she just stuck with me and the rest of my guild."
"So she's finally found a group of friends to stick with." Ichiro said with a sigh of relief.
Before we could continue our conversation Alice and Akio walked over to us. Alice seemed annoyed while Akio looked apologetic. Guess Alice was tired of waiting for us.
"The parties over. Let's go, John." Alice said.
It felt like we were only there for a couple of minutes. I turned around to get one last look of the view and saw that it was dawn. I really let go of the time.
"I hope you don't mind but I'd like to accompany you guys on your travels." Ichiro said.
I didn't mind if he tagged along. I didn't understand any reasons he would have for joining us, but the more the merrier.
"Why?" Alice asked.
"We haven't seen each other in a couple of years, I wanted to catch up." He responded.
"Fine, but we're currently looking for someone so if you join us you better help us." She said.
Ichiro nodded and gave the two of us a big smile. We now had another member in a party which made me feel a lot better.
"Do you want to join us as well, Akio?" I asked.
As Ichiro was asking us if he could join I noticed that Akio had the same look in his eyes but he just didn't say anything.
Akio's face lit up as he began to nod. That was four members in our party now. The light of the sun reflected off the window and made everything feel a lot brighter. I turned around to get a good look at it and saw a sight I'd never forget.
