"How did I end up getting dragged into this?" Alice asked.
Ichiro's body suddenly flew past us because of how hard Akari hit him. Alice, Akio, and I all turned our heads and looked at Ichiro who was now laying face first in the dirt.
"Who's next?" Akari asked, pointing at the remaining three of us.
Alice and I both pointed at Akio without hesitation. Akio gave us both look of betrayal as Akari dragged him out onto the field.
"Have you ever noticed how many people we've met that's name start with the letter A?" I asked.
Alice turned towards me with a confused look, "what?"
I let out a disappointed sigh, so much for small talk. Both of us returned our attention to Ichiro and saw that Akari was still beating him to a pulp. She was holding onto his shirt with one hand and using the other to punch him across the face.
"Should one of us stop her?" Akio asked.
I shrugged, "probably."
Akio gave me a grumpy look before running over to Ichiro. Akari suddenly stopped punching Ichiro and stared at all three of us. Her piercing stare was enough to freeze all of us.
I grabbed onto Genki's handle and removed a little bit of him out of his sheathe. Alice on the other hand prepared a spell and was aiming her magic ring at Akari.
Thanks to what had just transpired, we were now stuck at a standstill with no end in sight. A soft breeze blew throughout the area, not like I could enjoy it though with what was going on.
"I leave you alone for one minute just to come back and find you all on the brink of killing each other." The old man said.
"Sorry, Master. The clumsy kid tried to interfere with my fight." Akari said.
Clumsy kid? She didn't mean Akio, did she? I guess he did fall, like a lot. Though I didn't think she'd ever seen him fall before.
"Well I wouldn't have interfered it you weren't bashing my friend's face in!" Akio yelled in an attempt to defend himself.
Ichiro's head popped out from behind Akari and revealed to Akio that he wasn't hurt at all. Alice and I had already noticed so that's why we didn't get involved.
"W-what?! How are you not hurt at all?" Akio yelled, falling back out of shock.
"If you must know, he was using a spell which created an invisible shield that protected his face." Akari said, jumping back Ichiro.
Now it was my turn to be surprised. I had no idea he had a spell like that, though it's not like there was many opportunities where I could've seen it, literally and figuratively.
"Can we go back to our fight now?" Ichiro asked, dusting off some dirt that got on him.
The air had completely changed in that moment. Both fighters looked at each other and got into a fighting stance. The soft breeze had become stronger and began to blow both their hair's to the side. With a single twitch of Ichiro's foot, both disappeared out of sight.
