Around 10,000 years ago a tree was planted in the center of our world. The tree was like a dungeon, every time you clear a floor the next one opens. John, a 16 year old adventurer decides that he wants to be the first person to reach the top of the tree. On his way up he meets new friends, will John reach the top of the tree? The Dungeon Tree

In a split second, the shapeshifter appeared right in front of me and smashed his head against my own, sending me flying back. As I flew back I saw that the shapeshifter was about to attack me again.


"Genki!" I yelled, signaling him to fire a beam.


Genki fired a beam pushing me just far enough to avoid the shapeshifter's attack.


I jumped off the wall behind me and slammed my body against the  shapeshifter to push him back. Before I hit the ground I had Genki fire another beam to launch me towards him again. This time instead of using my whole body, I just punched him across the face which still had the similar effect of pushing him back.


When I landed on the ground I put Genki in his sheathe so I could try the new attack I've been wanting to do.


"Even if the strength of my cut doesn't increase, this'll still be pretty cool." I told myself.


"Just make sure it doesn't get us killed." Genki said.


I launched myself towards the shapeshifter and used the momentum of me unsheathing Genki to slash my opponent. Despite the shapeshifter's best efforts, he couldn't block my attack.


"We're not done yet!" I yelled, turning around to deliver another attack.


Both our weapons lit up with flames as we readied ourselves for another attack. I could feel my aura activate as I went in for the attack too. From the looks of it, it seems the shapeshifter did too.


Something snapped inside of me the moment our weapons collided. I felt stronger all of a sudden. The flames on my sword became even bigger and brighter. The shapeshifter's guard was completely broken by my new founded strength and just barely managed to jump back from my next attack.


We both rushed at each other and began throwing out attacks at each other. Unlike before, it was clear which side was stronger. Me, of course.


Instead of using Genki's beams, I used my explosion spell to launch myself towards the shapeshifter and kicked him right in the stomach. With the wind being knocked out of him, all he could do was stand there in a dazed state. Now was the time to finish this fight.


The flames on Genki became larger once again. The power of the flames coursed through my body, guiding me on what I should do next. It all was clear to me.


I switched to a stance that was lower to the ground and said the one thing that I could think of.


I left a trail of flames behind me as I moved closer to the shapeshifter. The flames around Genki began to flow around him like a vortex as I delivered the final blow.


"Let's hope that finished it." I said, turning around to see if that did it.


The shapeshifter's body returned to its original state before returning to the water. I let out a large sigh of relief before raising Genki into the air triumphantly. Not one second later, I collapsed onto the ground from exhaustion.
