Floor Twenty

"So this is Floor Twenty?" I asked, stepping outside the station and taking a good look at my surroundings.

The town itself reminded me of Serene's town but the sheer size of it was incomparable. The smell of the sea was everywhere and the light source of this floor made it feel like summer.

"We still have almost the entire day before the ship departs so let's grab something to eat first." Alice suggested.

"Good idea. I haven't had anything to eat in awhile." I said, my stomach rumbling soon after.

Everyone nodded their heads in agreement and began looking around the streets for any signs of a restaurant or just a map showing the layout of the town.

"I know this city like the back of my hand, allow me to guide you to your destination." A merchant who looked to be my age greeted us.

"That's very nice of you, thank yo-" before I could finish my sentence the merchant looked up and gave me a blank stare before returning his attention to Alice and Akari.

"Anyway, follow me and I'll take you to a really nice restaurant." The merchant said.

"No thanks." Alice said, walking right by the merchant.

I let out a small laugh before walking past the merchant and towards Alice. Everyone followed soon after except for Steven and Emma.

"Is something the matter?" I asked, looking back at the two of them.

"We'll catch up with you guys in a bit. There's something we want to check out first." Steven said.

I raised my eyebrow at what he just said. I was fine with it it just came out of nowhere and left me confused.

"Well alright then. Good luck with whatever you two are doing." I said before running back over to Alice and the others.

When I finally regrouped with everyone they had just arrived at a map of the district we were in.

"So what's Steven and Emma doing?" Akari asked.

"No clue. They just said they had to do something but that they'll meet back up with us." I answered.

"I think right there is a restaurant." Fang said, using his paw to point at the spot he was talking about.
