You know I know you feel same

"You can't be here. If he finds out, he'll kill you" she warns Brithney who is scanning the house before facing her.

"I'm not scared of him. However, do you want to know what I'm scared of? I'm scared of your life and what is going to happen if I don't get the hand of his dad's will. I'm scared of people who will suffer because of their ego. Do you want that to happen? Do you?"

She shakes her head "Good. Now I am here for us to finish the business we didn't get the chance to. Take me to his room now!"

She hurriedly strolls to the stairs and Brithney follows behind her

They have been searching for a while now yet, haven't found anything. Brithney curses "Shit! Where the fuck can it be if not here?"

"I think he's going be here anytime soon? You should let me do this"

Brithney faces her "I've already put you into so much trouble. And forget about his return. Because I know his program and he won't be here till midnight. So we have 10 more hours"

She is skeptical but flashes Brithney a faint smile "Sure. Let's finish this"

They go on with their search and time flies even faster.

"Are you certain he keeps it here?" Brithney questions

"Very very certain."

Brithney's sights fall on a silver cuff "Is that what I think it is?"

"No no no no…do not look there. It has a detection. I once saw him retrieving something from there and it alarmed me."

"Don't worry about that. I got everything formulated" she says placing her hand over the cuff before his wife could protest any longer, she opened it and no sound was heard.

"How did you know the password?"

She shrugs "I-guessed. He did put your name as his password. Funny right?"

She pauses then her eyes lit "Don't touch anything! It's a trap!"

It's already too late as she sends her hand and collects a document. The title speaks for itself and she rejoices with a grin as she brings her hands out. "You see? Nothing happened…it's just exactly what we've been looking for"

"Something is not right. Why will he put his password so visible and-why me?"

"Girl, you don't need to think a lot. What's important is that we have what we have been looking for. So I want you to relax"

Brithney starts reading over the doc and her eyes narrow at the phrases. Her heart skips and she brings her gaze to his wife who is trying to reciprocate something to her.

Brithney shakes her head "What's going on? This can't be true"

She brings her head forward to read what makes Brithney so depressed then sighs.

"I can't believe this. Like, how could he be innocent? All these time I thought my parents must have been trapped"

"I'm so sorry"

Brithney angrily shoves in her bag and heads down. She follows her behind "Brithney"

"I should go. This was a waste of time. Anyway, thanks for your aid." Brithney says the last phrase facing his wife then heads for the door.

"Wait!" she called and Brithney paused at the door.

"You remember…the time I told you, I was going to help you? Well, I meant it"

Brithney was confused but she voiced out "I appreciate once again. Hope you take care of yourself"

Soon after Brithney opens the door and walks outliving his wife in an unconscious daze. Suddenly, her husband Leonel comes from the basement and kisses her head from behind "Nice play. However, I got scared you tried to betray me. You are lucky, you covered it up"

She clenched her jaws at his disgusting aroma on her before turning around "There's always an end to everything Leonel. Hope you know that"

He squints his eyes at her and she walks away living him frozen.

All through Brithney's ride, her heart was filled with a heavy burden. She let a few drops of tears live her eyes but didn't let it ride her mood.

I got this. I'm strong, I'm confident, and positive. I'll get through this.

Is all she says until she reaches home.

The sun is down and Apriva is rounding up with her work so she can head to see her friends.

She arranges everything and takes her bag just when Joel walks in. she is so unaware of his presence so turns around and bumps into him. When she looks up and sees him, her chest raises instantly.

"Apri-can we talk please"

She abruptly nods in her lust in his stare but later on shakes it looking away "No-I need to go home"

She tried walking past him but he fastens her biceps forcing her to look into his eyes "Please" he repeats and she struggles to take her hands off

"Don't you get that I don't want you"

"But I know you need me" he responds after unclasping her arm. "Your eyes say everything" he is now ogling her brown orbit and she starts feeling weak due to his stare.

"Joel…" she calls tears inching her lids and she blinks them away regaining consciousness.

She finally walks past him and he follows whispering "I love you" she pauses in her strides.

"I can't seem to get you off my mind. And you know I know, you feel the same"

She is silent before saying coldly "There you are mistaken because I don't feel the same" then walks outliving him with a crumbled heart.

"I was going to run there and dig you out," Katty said as soon as Brithney walked in.

She restlessly squatted next to Ciara on the couch and Katty gently join her. Both of them waiting to hear what she has to say expectantly.

"I suppose it didn't end well" Ciara let out

"He didn't lie."

"What do you mean exactly?" Katty inquired
