Overpowering Anger! Overdrive: Mode One?! (Part 2/2)

"Leonidus-kun! What do we do?" Iida asked.

"You guys stay here, I'm going in to look for the others!" I yelled over to him.

"Wait, Leonidus-kun. Can't you just sense for them?" Iida asked me.

I shook my head, "No, I'm not really sure how to... Sorry."

Before they could say anything, I activated my Quirk and ran inside the forest. Surely, everyone would be fine, right? I ran for what felt like forever until I came across two people. He had a girl bound to him and was running away from... a Nomu? This one looked different, it had chainsaws on its back! Before it could hit them, I jumped in front of them.

"Counter Burst!" I shouted.

I deflected the blow using my Overdrive and hit it right in the face!

"Hey, you guys okay?" I questioned.

The guy set the girl down and looked at me.

"Y-Yeah... I'm okay, but... Watch out!" He yelled.

I looked up and seen the Nomu's fist coming right at me. The guy pushed me to the side and took the blow. He went flying into a tree and broke it!

"N-No!" I yelled.

*THIRD PERSON*

Leonidus looked over at the Chainsaw Nomu, his gaze reached the girl on the ground, he finally recognized who it was by the length of her hair and her shirt.

"M-Momo..." He muttered.

His entire body had became empty after he saw her lying on the ground, presumably succumbed to her injuries. The Nomu in front of him began to cackle as it slowly stomped towards him. His mind had gone blank, the memories and flashbacks of Momo danced in his mind, almost like a burning flame. Tears began to stream down his face as small rocks and pebbles began to rise from the ground.

"How... Dare you..." Leonidus mumbled.

The wind began to blow, swaying the trees around gently, the Nomu stopped in it's tracks as it sensed something wrong. Overdrive sparked around Leonidus' body as his limp fists began to clench. The winds began to make their way out of the forest, Iida looked and saw a glimmer of light from within.

"L-Leonidus-san, are you...?" He wondered.

The wind started to pick up inside the forest, trees blew violently as Leonidus' widened, teary eyes twitched. His breathing became shakier as the clouds above started to circle around rapidly, going in different directions all at once.

"𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘥𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘷𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰, 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘶𝘭𝘵." He remembered Momo's words.

Leonidus' eyes began to glow bright blue with anger as he realized there was only one person behind all of this, Tomura Shigaraki. Inside Leonidus' mind, something finally snapped, triggering an explosive wave of emotions that spread throughout his entire body. Steam came out of his mouth as his eyebrows furrowed intensely, suddenly from behind, a mighty blue dragon ripped out of the ground as a pillar of Overdrive rose up! The sight of Momo had triggered an intense transformation, Overdrive: Mode One!

"𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘺... 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘍𝘜𝘊𝘒𝘐𝘕𝘎 𝘏𝘌𝘈𝘙 𝘔𝘌?!" Leonidus roared.

For the first time in his life, Alyx Leonidus experienced genuine anger, Yosetsu uncovered his face and marveled at the sight. Leonidus lunged at the Nomu, striking at it wildly, the Nomu hopped backwards as it dodged some of his strikes. The tears on Leonidus' face began to turn into flames as they sparked off his cheeks!

"𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱, 𝘈𝘭𝘺𝘹 𝘓𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘴! 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦!" Alyx thought to himself.

His speed increased as he began to deliver devastating blows to the Nomu! It tripped over a rock but lunged it's chainsaw arms out at him. Leonidus got closer to the Nomu as his arms closed in, a fearsome blue Overdrive Fist at the ready.

"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺... 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴... 𝘎𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘴𝘢𝘸𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦! 𝘋𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘔𝘰𝘮𝘰, 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵!" Leonidus thought once more.

Someone watched on from the Seventh Plane as Leonidus drew closer to the Nomu. Her fiery hair went upwards as her cherry red eyes lit up.

"Aly... I won't let you die, I can't let you die here!" She announced.

Fierce fire circled around her and phoenixes began to rise, her fists tightened at her sides as she watched on. She raised a fist upwards, sending hellish flames sky rocketing around her! Leonidus drew closer to the Nomu, but a phoenix of flames burst out of the ground beneath him, burning the Nomu's arms off! The flames of the phoenix wrapped around Leonidus' arm of Overdrive as he connected against the Nomu's face.

"I won't forgive you... Burn in the pits of hell... For hurting the person I love!" Alyx shouted with rage.

The ground beneath Leonidus indented and cracked as he slammed his fist further into the Nomu, sending it flying into the air. Yosetsu's eyes widened with shock as he held Yaoyorozu close to him, Momo regained consciousness to see what was going on. Leonidus took deep breaths in and out as he stared into the forest.

"TOMURA SHIGARAKI!!" He yelled.

He tightened his fists as he continued to look out towards the forest, "𝘐 𝘒𝘕𝘖𝘞 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘊𝘈𝘕 𝘏𝘌𝘈𝘙 𝘔𝘌, 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘎𝘖𝘋𝘋𝘈𝘔𝘕 𝘉𝘈𝘚𝘛𝘈𝘙𝘋! 𝘐 𝘗𝘙𝘖𝘔𝘐𝘚𝘌 𝘠𝘖𝘜, 𝘐'𝘓𝘓 𝘊𝘏𝘈𝘚𝘌 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘋𝘖𝘞𝘕 𝘛𝘖 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘍𝘜𝘊𝘒𝘐𝘕𝘎 𝘌𝘕𝘋𝘚 𝘖𝘍 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘌𝘈𝘙𝘛𝘏 𝘛𝘖 𝘒𝘐𝘓𝘓 𝘠𝘖𝘜! The flames around Leonidus began to dissipate as he started to calm down. The words echoed through the forest, Shigaraki stood atop a cliff, a smile brandished on his face.

"𝘖𝘩, 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺? 𝘐𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭? 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘴... 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵... 𝘈𝘭𝘺𝘹 𝘓𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘴..." He thought with a smirk.

*LEONIDUS P.O.V.*

I took a deep breath in then back out again, I managed to calm myself down. I felt someone place their hand on my shoulder.

"Leonidus-san... Thank you." Yosetsu smiled softly.

I nodded at him, I looked over at Momo who was on the ground, she was actually alive! She was bleeding from her head, I rushed over and hugged her tightly. I wasn't sure what Shigaraki and the League were here for. I didn't care at the moment, the only thing I honestly cared about what that Momo was okay. I lifted her up as Yosetsu made his way over to us, Momo passed out again on my shoulder.

"What were you talking about back there? Is there more going on?" Yosetsu questioned.

"No, not that I know of, I don't even know what's going on. It's a long story." I responded.

Yosetsu and I hurried out of the forest, we made it out of the forest after a few minutes of running, I found Deku in Shoji's arms. He looked like absolute shit! Those that were injured majorly were taken to the hospital, Pro Heroes had filled the forests looking for the League. I kept staring into the forest, my eyes never left it.

"Leonidus-san! What was that?" Iida asked.

His voice broke me out of my trance, "O-Oh... I just used Mode One, that's all."

I sat down on the ground and watched as the ambulance Momo was in drove away. Iida sat down next to me, he put his hand on my shoulder and gave me a reassuring smile.

"She'll be alright, Yaoyorozu-san really does think highly of you, I'm unsure if anyone has ever told you that. I'm certain that it's been solidified after what you've done." He smiled.

I looked down at the ground and smiled at what he told me. I just hope that everyone was okay, a lot of them were unconscious due to some sort of gas being spread throughout the forest.

[The Next Morning...]

The first thing I did today was visit Momo at the hospital. I knocked on her door and walked into the room, I figured she would be asleep since it was about 8 in the morning, but she was awake. Momo looked over at me and gave me a tired smile. I sat down next to her with breakfast that I bought for the two of us.

"I'm assuming you didn't get any sleep?" I wondered.

"Not necessarily, I just got up about an hour ago. What about you?" She responded.

"I barely got any sleep to be honest. After everything that happened last night..." I answered.

Momo placed her hand on top of mine, "I can tell you're blaming yourself for what happened. This wasn't something you could stop, I doubt even All Might would've known what was going on. Thank you for stepping in, if it weren't for you, I doubt I'd be sitting here right now. I'm sure Awase-kun is thinking the same."

I slightly nodded at her reassurance. She motioned for me to move forward a bit, her thumb gently went down the side of my right cheek.

"Did that fire on your face give a burning sensation at all? Was that a second Quirk?" Momo inquired.

"N-No... It wasn't, at least, I'm not sure if it was or not. My lungs were burning though, that's for sure. They're still kind of hot feeling though. Maybe it was?" I pondered.

She cupped her hand on my face, "Just be careful for me, alright?"

I guess she was talking about what I said last night. I placed my hand on hers and smiled warmly at her.

"Of course, I promise, Momo." I smiled.

I heard the hospital door open, her Mother and Father walked into the room. Her Mother rushed over and hugged her, I stood up as her Father approached me.

He gave me a hug, "Thank you, you're a blessing, Alyx."

I smiled and hugged him back, I heard her Mother create something from behind me. I turned my head and saw that she made a dictionary for her to read. I almost forgot that reading those things was her favorite thing to do!

After everything that happened at the training camp, I wish that I could've done more. It ate at me that I wasn't fast enough to protect Momo and Yosetsu from that Nomu. I've been visiting Momo ever since she first got into the hospital, it's been mostly me and her parents. Today though, everyone from class walked inside.

"Hey guys, I'm assuming Bakugo-san didn't come?" I wondered.

Everyone looked at me and then looked a bit down. Did I say something wrong?

"What? What's wrong?" I asked.

Kirishima spoke up, "Bakugo... He... He's been kidnapped by the League of Villains, Leonidus-san."

I didn't know what to say, everyone was quiet. We stood around not saying anything for a while.

"So, what's the plan?" I finally spoke.

"Plan for what?" Jiro questioned.

"Are the Pros going to do something about it?" I replied.

"Well, I was going to talk to Midoriya about it. I think we should all try and get Bakugo back!" Kirishima told me.

I looked at him puzzled, "So, you're telling me that we all are going to sneak into the League of Villains hideout, take back Bakugo, and not destroy anything?"

"He's right, Kirishima-kun. We, as unlicensed heroes in training, can't do anything. We have to let the Pros handle this." Iida added.

"I'm not gonna sit here and let them do whatever they're doing to Bakugo! You guys feel the same too, I can tell!" Kirishima shouted.

They were both right, although I wanted to help, I couldn't do anything unless I'm wanting to get a stern talking to from Mr. Aizawa. After we visited Deku, Kirishima told him about his plan, then we all departed. When I got home, I saw Mr. Aizawa talking with my parents. Surprisingly, he was wearing decent looking clothes.

"Mr. Aizawa?" I called out.

"Oh, Alyx, I didn't think you'd be home this early." My Father noted.

I sat down in a chair in front of them. I was still thinking about everything Kirishima told Deku.

"Hey, Mr. Aizawa. Sorry to interrupt... But... Did you tell them everything that happened already?" I asked.

"Yes, I did. Why do you ask?" Mr. Aizawa replied.

How would I even tell him? Some of our classmates are planning to take on the League by themselves?

"Well, you guys- Pro Heroes I mean... Are you trying to look for him? Bakugo-san?" I wondered.

Mr. Aizawa nodded at me, "Yes, we're looking extensively for him. Dozens of Pros are looking as we speak."

I looked down at the ground, and then back up.

"I think I know where Bakugo-san is. I've been sensing a distant heat energy ever since I fought that Nomu-" I started to tell him.

My Mother interrupted me, "A Nomu?! One of those huge bird monster things?!"

I guess I should've told them about it before Mr. Aizawa came over.

"Yeah, I saved another kid, Yosetsu-san, and Momo from it. Also, I can go into Mode One now because of it." I explained.

I told them everything I knew about where Bakugo was located and the Nomu I fought. Hopefully, this helped. I really hope they aren't thinking about trying to save Bakugo. Especially since he's with those League of Villains people. I was getting really worried, Kirishima seemed serious about this whole thing. Should I have told Mr. Aizawa about it too? Regardless of what happens, I just hope he doesn't do anything stupid!

I sat in my bedroom after my talk with Mr. Aizawa and my parents. I stared at my phone blankly for a while, everything that happened last night was the only thing I could think about. I remembered what Deku told me and I looked through my phone's contact list. I didn't know who to call, so I just held my knees to my chest and sat alone with my thoughts. Someone knocked on my door and they came in.

"Alyx, I'm- Hey, what's wrong?" My Mother asked.

"I'm... I just..." I mumbled.

She came over and sat down next to me. My Mother put her arm around me.

"What's the matter, sweetheart? You know you can talk to me." My Mother cooed.

I looked up and was about to speak, but I started to get choked up, thanks to all of my thoughts. I felt my eyes start to water and I hugged my Mother tightly. I cried but I couldn't say a word. She slowly rubbed my back and laid her head on mine. I heard someone else walk in my room and sit down next to me.

"What's wrong, bud?" My Father wondered.

"I-I... I'm goddamn useless! My Quirk is supposed to make me fast, so why wasn't I fast enough to help Bakugo? Why?! I could've been there to save him!" I sobbed.

My grip tightened on my Mother's shirt, "Honey, your Quirk does make you faster, but you can't always help everyone. It's a tough pill to swallow, I know, but it's the truth."

"Your Mother's right, you shouldn't beat yourself up over this. It's alright to think about it, but Alyx, you can't let yourself be consumed by it. There's hundreds of people that I couldn't save too." My Father added.

I looked up and my Mother wiped the tears off of my face. She softly smiled at me and hugged me again. My crying turned into small sniffles.

"Does pizza sound like something that'll make you feel a bit better?" My Father questioned.

My Mother shook her head, "That's the next thing you think of? Good grief..."

I started laughing and sniffled one last time. My Father handed me a tissue and I wiped my nose. We talked some more about it and it honestly relieved a lot of stress off my mind. I just hope that Momo and Deku will be alright, Deku especially, he was hurt pretty bad. I'm just praying that Bakugo is alive as well, God knows what the League is doing to him.
