I woke up this morning with pain shooting up my back. I winced at the pain as I sat up, I looked up at the mirror on my desk and saw the bandages on my face. Did they really flatten all of my hair just to wrap it evenly? My door slowly opened and it wasn't who I was expecting.
"Tsuyu? W-What are you doing here? I thought all of you left for your Work-Studies?" I questioned.
"Nope, at least I didn't have to. Are you doing alright?" Tsuyu replied.
I shook my hand, "Eh, kinda. I'm still feeling the effects from that explosion. At least the burning's stopped somewhat."
"Well, that's good! Yaoyorozu told me that I might have to help you with your bandages. She wrote me a note too." She told me.
I nodded, "Okay, I'm assuming she wants me to replace them. Is that why you've got the lotion here as well?
"Yep, that's why." Tsuyu agreed.
I slowly unwrapped the bandage from my face and Tsuyu walked over and unwrapped the bandage from my right arm. My entire right arm had a burn scar on it, I'd about imagine what my face looked like. I opened my right eye and Tsuyu looked up at me.
"I really don't mean to alarm you, Alyx, but your eye is a lot lighter than your other one." Tsuyu observed.
I looked in the mirror and saw what she told me. There was a small burn scar that surrounded my eye, similar to Shoto's, except that it went to my jawline and was a lighter color than his scar. My right eye was a lighter blue than my left, was my right contact lens damaged? Tsuyu helped me apply that lotion to my arm while I put it on my face.
"Geez, that explosion really did a number on you, Alyx. That's saying something considering you took a punch from Midoriya." Tsuyu remarked.
She helped me wrap some new bandages around me.
"Thanks, Tsuyu. I think I should get going now, I'm pretty sure Midnight's got some sort of exercise planned out for me." I smiled.
"Alyx, I don't think you should be going anywhere. Don't you remember what Mr. Aizawa told you?" Tsuyu asked.
I started to stand up from my bed, "Y-Yeah, I do. But I think I'll be okay."
[10 Minutes Later...]
I made my way into U.A., slowly but surely, and was stopped by Sota & Selina.
"Mr. Leonidus! Are you okay?" He wondered.
"I'm fine, I just got a bit roughed up last night, that's all." I reassured him.
Selina studied my bandaged arm and my face, "You definitely don't look fine! You were just walking around like you've been hurt bad!"
"I'm okay, trust me. It's nothing I can't handle." I replied.
I put my hand on Sota's shoulder, "I appreciate your concerns, Sota, Selina... But I'm fine."
I smiled at them which made them relax a bit more. After that, I continued towards Midnight's office. I knocked on her office door and slowly opened it. Although my arm was healed, it hurt like hell, so I really couldn't move it. I walked in and closed the door. In the training room, I could hear distant cracking of a whip. I made my way over to her training room. I slid open the door and Midnight looked over at me.
"Alyx? What are you doing here? You should be resting right now!" Midnight scolded.
"Sorry, Midnight. I just thought that I should drop by for the internship." I replied.
She walked over and shook her head, "I admire your spirit, but you can't be pushing yourself like this. As much as it's erotic, you shouldn't be breaking yourself, and I mean that."
"B-But..." I stuttered.
"No, go and rest. We'll continue the Work-Study on Friday." Midnight told me.
I looked at the ground, "I want to help find who killed Vanilla, I know what he looks like."
Midnight looked curious and I further explained what I saw. I described the man in as much detail as I could.
"Thank you, Alyx. That's extremely helpful information! Now, you need to head back to the dorms and rest up, please." Midnight told me.
I nodded and walked away. I really wanted to help but I still felt useless because of these injuries.
[2 Hours Later...]
Tsuyu checked on me from time to time just to make sure I was doing okay. My phone rang and I picked it up.
"H-Hello?" I answered.
"Hello there, Braveheart. It's a pleasure to talk to you." A man answered.
"Who is this?" I asked.
"You'll know soon enough; I'm surprised you survived my attack. Usually, it kills most people on contact. It seems I wasn't lucky enough this time." He replied.
"Wait... You're the guy that broke into the dorms! Who in the hell are you?!" I demanded.
"So, you managed to see me as well? That's rather unfortunate, but nonetheless, it won't happen again. I figured you would've seen me, so whatever description you've given to anyone, they'll have a tough time finding me. Now, let me ask you a question, does this sound familiar to you?" The man asked.
There were muffled cries and moving.
"P-Please! Alyx, help me!" I heard Momo shout.
If Momo was there, Nejire must've been there too!
"D-Don't... Don't you dare do anything fucking stupid or I'll-" I tried to threaten.
"Ah, ah, ah! I know your game, Leonidus. Now, listen well, I'll give you exactly 2 days to find them." He instructed.
"What? What are you talking about? Just tell me where you are damn it! I doubt I'll even find you if you managed to not leave evidence behind when you killed V.I. Vanilla!" I shouted.
"I just simply can't do that, it would be too easy for someone like you, why would I waste such great detective skills?" I could tell he was smirking on the other side of the phone.
"I'm sure you'll find them. But if not, I'm sure you already know, but I'll give you a demonstration just in case you forgot. I am a man of my word, after all." The man continued.
The line went quiet and he approached another individual. This person was begging for their life and he did something to a surface next to him, the next thing I heard was a huge explosion! As the explosion went off, I heard cries of terror from other people.
"Good luck." He hung up.
I stared at my phone; I had that guy's number! From what I could tell, they were in some sort of large-scale room. I slowly stumbled downstairs and found Tsuyu.
"Tsuyu! Woodchuck Chuck time!" I told her.
[5 Minutes Later...]
We stood outside and Tsuyu wrapped her tongue around me, she chucked me towards U.A. I crashed into a window and landed on a table like a plank of wood.
"H-Holy hell! Leonidus, what are you doing?!" Thirteen shouted.
I looked at her and the other teachers, "That guy who killed V.I. and broke into the dorms just called me!"
I showed them the number and told them that he's kidnapped Momo, Nejire, and a group of other people.
"He's only giving me two days to find them, I'm leaving right now. I just needed to show you guys the number to see if you couldn't trace it back to somewhere that it was last used." I told them.
They looked at the number and wrote it down on a piece of paper. Mr. Aizawa rushed out of the room with it. After about 10 minutes or so he returned.
"The last place this was used was nearby Nighteye Agency. You shouldn't go, your body hasn't fully recovered yet. You know what the law is, Alyx." Mr. Aizawa advised.
"I'm fine! I'm still breathing, I'm still moving, I can go!" I argued as I activated Mode One.
Mr. Aizawa's eyes shined a bright red as he stared at me. His hair and capture weapon flowed in the air.
"If you think about going anywhere, I'll have no choice but to expel you. Now, you need to rest, and that's final." He scolded.
I sighed and closed my eye, "Okay, sorry, Mr. Aizawa."
"Listen, you've done more than enough, you need to learn when it's time to rest. I understand why you're wanting to help, but you need to let us handle it, we'll bring them back safe and sound." Mr. Aizawa told me.
I nodded and softly smiled.
[Later That Night...]
I haven't heard from anyone since 2:00 today. It's a little before midnight and I was getting nervous. Mina came downstairs with Kirishima and they seemed surprised that I was awake.
"Hey man, how's your eye?" Kirishima asked.
"It's alright, my arm's doing a bit better now, so that's a plus. It still hurts like hell though." I responded.
Mina grabbed something to drink from the kitchen and she made her way over to the couch.
"You're still worried about Yaoyorozu, aren't you? I honestly don't blame you; I'm worried too." Mina sighed.
Kirishima sat down next to me, "Yeah! I'm sure they'll find her, bro!"
The dorm doors opened and Mr. Aizawa walked in with Momo. I rushed over to her and hugged her.
"Oh, thank God you're okay!" I exclaimed.
Momo didn't say anything, she just stood there.
"May we go to bed, Alyx? I'm tired." She monotoned.
I looked up at her, her eyes were blank, almost as if she was in a trance? Mr. Aizawa had already left so I couldn't ask him about what happened. I looked over at Kiri and Mina, they looked concerned as well. I nodded and Momo followed me upstairs.
"Do you want to-" I tried to ask her a question.
"Your room will be fine." She deadpanned.
I didn't say anything as she looked straight ahead, not batting an eye at me. We entered my room and she locked the door behind her. I turned around and activated Mode One.
"DORA!!" I shouted.
I punched a hole through her stomach and quickly healed her. The blank look on her face disappeared as she collapsed, luckily, I caught her.
"U-Uh...? Alyx? What...?" Momo muttered.
I looked at the small device that I held in my hand, it quickly evaporated, and I helped Momo stand up.
"It's okay, Mr. Aizawa and the others saved you. You're back at the dorms now." I cooed.
She looked at me and hugged me, "I thought I was going to die! He made us eat some sort of thing that had this device in it."
"I know, I sensed it as soon as you started talking. Whatever the hell it was, it's not in you anymore, I took care of it." I replied.
"You did? How?" She asked.
I smiled and laughed nervously, "I may have punched a hole in your stomach in order to take it out."
Momo simply just looked at me and shook her head. I sat down on my bed and started unwrapping the bandages on my arm as Momo took off her hero costume.
"If you're needing clothes, I've got some in my top drawer that I bought for you just in case." I told her.
She walked over to my dresser and put some clothes on. I threw my bandages in my trash can and saw Momo wearing one of my shirts.
"I know what you're thinking, and yes, I looked through your dresser until I found something." Momo smiled.
I sighed and smiled, "I could've just let you wear whatever if that's the case!"
Momo giggled and sat down on my lap. She unwrapped the bandages around the right side of my face. She threw the bandages away and turned back to face me.
"Dojaaayn!" I exclaimed.
Momo put her hand on my face and studied my burn scar.
"It doesn't hurt when I touch it, does it?" Momo asked.
"No, this one's fine. My right arm still stings a little though." I told her.
I slowly pulled off my shirt to show her my right arm and the burn entirely. It covered most of my shoulder and went down to my elbow, which it connected to another smaller scar.
"So, I guess I'm 'Todoroki 2: Electric Boogaloo' now?" I laughed.
Momo laughed and laid her head on my chest, "Yeah, I guess so! I guess so..."
I untied the hair tie from her hair and threw it on my desk. I looked down at her and she was tracing the Phoenix scar on my chest.
"You don't have to worry about me all the time, Momz. I'm fine." I reassured her.
"I know but it's really difficult not to. You're constantly putting yourself in harm's way for all of us." She replied.
I combed my fingers through her hair and laid back on my bed. Momo rolled off of me and readjusted herself on my bed. I turned around and faced her.
"Probably the only coolest thing to come out of this is that my eye is a lighter color than my other one." I joked.
"Really? Your scar looks rather unique, it's a lot lighter colored than Todoroki's, it looks a little thinner too." She observed.
She placed her hand on my face and rubbed my cheek with her thumb. I pulled her close to me and we soon fell asleep.
