Time Resume! Still in the Fight!

Momo's alarm went off, waking me up, but not her. I think she talked to Mirio about continuing her Hero Work-Studies, but I'm not entirely sure.

"Babe... I think you gotta get up." I whispered groggily.

"Mm mmm." She uttered.

Momo moved closer to me and put one arm around me. She stretched her other arm out before letting it fall back on her pillow.

"I'm... staying in bed today." She sleepily replied.

I gently held her hand as I sat up, "Well, I'm gonna go get breakfast for the two of us. I'm guessing that everyone else is out at their Work-Studies."

"Alright, are you sure you don't want me to go?" Momo yawned.

"I'll be fine, I think you should stay here and rest up. I'll be back here in a few." I reassured her.

I gave her a kiss before I went to my room to get dressed. I guess being that "Braveheart" and "Alyx Leonidus" was already starting to become somewhat of a household name, I guess I had to dress differently? But I figured that it wouldn't matter anyway, so after I got dressed for the trip, I left U.A. The streets really aren't as crowded during the early morning as they are during the afternoon. As I made my way around the city, I wondered how Mikaboshi wanted me to use that time stopping ability of his.

"Hey, Boshi, do you think we could use some sort of call sign for that ability of yours? I was thinking maybe 'Overdrive! The World!' or something like that. You know, since like... When you stop time, the world stops?" I thought to myself.

"Alyx... You aren't making one of those hellish references right now, right?" Mikaboshi replied.

"Noooo..." I lied.

I entered a McDonalds and ordered breakfast for Momo and I. Once I left, I noticed people running away from something. I hurried over towards where those people came from.

*THIRD PERSON*

Mineta stood in front of an injured Laura as a villain cackled and jumped towards them.

"PREPARE TO DIE YOU GODDAMN PIECES OF SHIT!!" The villain shouted.

Alyx threw the bag of food into the air, "Overdrive! The World!"

Mikaboshi quickly phased out of Alyx and snapped. Time came to a stop right as the villain was had shot out a claw ridden hand towards Mineta! Alyx walked forward and looked down at Mineta as he took his sunglasses off.

"Mineta, you've really grown as not only a person... But a hero as well. Sacrificing yourself for another, that's truly heroic, I'm glad I can call you a friend. But now... Good grief, let me handle the rest!" Alyx told him.

Mikaboshi charged out of Alyx and smashed his fist into the villain's arm, breaking it in two! Alyx took a deep breath in and smiled. His smile turned into a frown and furrowed eyebrows.

"URRRAAAHH!!" He shouted.

"ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA!!" Alyx roared.

Mikaboshi rattled the villain with fearsome, rapid strikes! His fists sounded like gun fire as they impacted against the villain. He phased back into Alyx as he looked away and put his sunglasses back on. He grabbed the bag of food that was in the air.

"Time has begun to move once more." Alyx muttered.

Time had returned to normal and the effects of Alyx's attack finally registered! The villain's body contorted as impact spots surrounded his entire being. He went flying into the air, bleeding heavily, Mineta and Laura looked up in astonishment.

"W-What...? Did you do that, Mineta?" Laura wondered.

"N-No, I thought you did!" Mineta responded.

Alyx walked down the street with a smirk on his face as Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods hurried over to Laura and Mineta.

"You did one of those annoying references, yet again, didn't you?" Mikaboshi sighed.

"Well, you've caught me red handed!" Leonidus chuckled.

*LEONIDUS' P.O.V.*

[10 Minutes Later...]

I put bed clothes back on before bringing the food up to Momo's room. Mikaboshi opened her door for me and I entered the room.

"That was quick, I'm surprised you didn't run into anyone." Momo remarked.

"Yeah, I guess it's because of the way my hair is, not a whole lot of people can tell that it's me since I don't ever have it down." I replied.

I sat down next to her with our breakfast, she yawned and rubbed her eyes as she wrapped the blanket around me and her. She tried to grab my right hand but instead it stopped in the air. Instead, Momo leaned her head on my shoulder as she ate.

"Hatsume should have that arm ready for me sometime next week. We're starting school up again tomorrow, right?" I told her.

"Yes, that we are, darling. I don't know what we'll be doing however." Momo replied.

Mikaboshi appeared in front of me by phasing through my chest, "Alyx, may we rename my time stopping ability to something other than 'Overdrive, The World'? I feel rather... Peculiar... And not in a delightful way."

"W-Wait... He can stop time?!" Momo exclaimed.

"Yep! Watch this!" I beamed.

He snapped his fingers and I stood up. Momo was frozen in place, still holding her breakfast sandwich. I moved towards her balcony door and Mikaboshi resumed time. Momo looked over to her left, then towards where I was.

"Woah, that's absolutely remarkable! That was at least a second!" Momo smiled.

"That might've felt like a second to you, but it's much longer for me. Trust me, I'd like to wrap my head around it, but the Seventh Plane time frame still confuses me." I responded.

I sat down next to her and finished eating. Momo started to brew some tea for our usual Tea Time. I didn't know that she could make it up here, I always thought she had to make it downstairs in the kitchen.

"Would you like any sugar in your tea, Alyx?" She asked.

"As long as you make it as sweet as you, go on ahead." I smiled.

Momo looked over at me and blushed, "Darling, you know that isn't possible, I'd be overfilling the entire cup with sugar."

"I guess I'll be drinking nothing but sugar then!" I laughed.

Momo giggled as she put a bit of sugar in my tea. She walked over and handed me a cup as she sat down in front of me.

"So, with this... Time Stopping ability... Does this mean that you'll be able to continue your schooling? Not speaking regular academically, I'm talking more hero academically." Momo wondered.

"Possibly, I'm not entirely sure, I'm still injured after all. I'm sure if I get injured around my torso area majorly, I think I'd be done for permanently. I'd have to talk with Mr. Aizawa about it." I replied.

Momo nodded at me, "I understand. I still feel terrible about what happened, though. I get that I wasn't in control of myself neither my own humanity, but I still feel responsible for all of this pain I've caused you."

"Hey, don't stress yourself over it, I'm fine. There're no hard feelings between Nomu you and I. Speaking of that, you don't have those abilities anymore, right? Being that Eri used her Quirk on you and all." I reassured her.

"No, I don't believe I do. If I do recall correctly, I could use my arms as blades or potentially a staff. Plus, most of the augments from being a High End Nomu were still visible on my body, such as my nails and bits of my hair." Momo told me.

I looked down at my right arm, "Yeah, I know that all too well! Honestly, it would've been pretty cool if you had those abilities on top of your Creation."

She didn't say a word after she sat her cup down in front of her. I looked up at her, I could tell she was still feeling like shit. I created an arm completely out of Overdrive. I sent it all into where my right arm would be and created a sort of prosthetic myself. I held both of her hands, which surprised her completely, Momo looked down at my hands.

"Is this what you've been wanting to do?" I wondered.

"B-But... I thought you couldn't use your Quirk anymore?" Momo replied.

"If I don't enter any of my Gears I can. Just putting all of it in one spot doesn't affect my lungs. I still can't actually use it, since using it in one spot completely shatters whatever body part I put it in, and I can't heal myself. If I did, I'm sure I'd injure myself even more. This kinda burns my lungs just a bit but it's nothing I can't handle." I explained.

I saw tears build up in her eyes as I looked up at her. My Overdrive arm faded away and I coughed a bit afterwards. There was just a tiny bit of blood on the bend of my elbow.

"None of this was your fault. I'm not upset by any of this, Momo. If anything, this actually might give me a much-needed break, which I honestly need one at this point." I cooed.

She wiped the tears from her eyes and I hugged her. I already knew that the rest of this year was gonna be rather interesting, but now, I'm not sure what to expect!

[8 Hours Later...]

I saw Bakugo hiding behind one of the couches downstairs. This was the first time I've seen the look of genuine fear on his face. I was kind of confused at first until I heard a loud "AAAAAAHHH!!!" out of anger then footsteps coming down the stairs quickly.

"You son of a BITCH!!" Deku shouted.

My eyes widened as I saw him activate One For All. I put my hand out to try and calm him down.

"H-Hey! There's no need for violence! Whatever's going on, I'm sure it can be solved!" I nervously laughed.

"Where is he? Where's Kacchan?! He's tainted my All Might poster! That bastard tainted it!" He questioned.

He... Tainted it? How can someone do that?

"Did he like, write on it or something, bro?" Kaminari wondered.

"He. Tainted. It." Deku fumed.

"Well, Alyx can restore it like it's... Oh fuck..." Jiro added.

I guess she nearly forgot that I can't use my Quirk. Uraraka hugged him from behind to try and calm him down.

"Deku, I'm sure it can be fixed! What's wrong with it?" Uraraka reassured.

"He touched it, that's what he did!" He replied.

Good grief... Seriously? We all shared the same dumbfounded expression. I guess none of us really believed what we heard.

"M-Midoriya, you are aware that in order to place a poster on a wall, you need to touch it with your bare hands. Right?" Iida asked.

I tried to defuse the situation, "Alright, let's just calm down, there's no need to start going fucking crazy. How about we talk about something else?"

"Yeah! Aly, today was wild! Mineta and I nearly got killed by this villain but... But it was like someone or something stopped him from doing it!" Laura chirped.

Bakugo slowly peeked his head up from behind the couch. Deku immediately shot his head over in Bakugo's direction.

"THERE YOU ARE!" He shouted.

I jumped into action quickly, "Overdrive! The World!"

Mikaboshi snapped his fingers right as Deku was about to lunge right on Bakugo. I walked over to him, moved him back in place, and returned to my spot.

"Let time resume once more." I muttered.

Time returned to normal, Deku looked around and noticed that he was standing where he was moments prior. Bakugo looked about as stunned as well.

"W-Wait... Weren't you just over there, Midoriya?" Kirishima questioned.

"He WAS over there." I replied.

Everyone turned to face me, "Huh?"

"You all heard me, you were right, Kirishima. He was right about to pounce onto Bakugo. Notice anything strange?" I asked.

"Hmm... Yeah! You're holding a drink in your hand when you weren't beforehand!" Kaminari observed.

I nodded at him, Mikaboshi stopped time once more, I moved over to the kitchen and Mikaboshi resumed time. Everyone looked around the room to see where I was.

"Anything else peak your interests?" I shouted over to them.

"W-Woah... How did you do that? You were right in front of us a second ago! We would've seen you use your Quirk!" Deku remarked.

I put a finger up and waved it side to side, "I'm not using my Quirk, sillies! It's something that Mikaboshi told me about, an ability that can stop time. Think of it like how Tokoyami can use Dark Shadow to fight for him, Mikaboshi acts in the same way as him, except Mikaboshi doesn't have a set range."

"Time... Stop...? Do you mean like-" Kaminari beamed.

"Yes, exactly like them. Why do you think I say 'The World' in order to activate it? Not only does it sound cool to me, it also basically makes sense with the ability, being that the world stops completely as time does. I'm unsure if there's a limit to it, or if Mikaboshi is affected by my wellbeing." I explained.

"Woah... That's super duper cool, Aly!" Laura exclaimed.

Kaminari turned to look at her, "So, It's basically like a spirit that some people manifest depending on their own fighting spirit! Have you ever watched Jojo's Bizarre Adventure before?"

"Not now, Denki." Jiro sighed.

"Oh, I see... So, you have an ability like this now? This is amazing news, Aly! Does this mean you can continue your hero stuff?" Laura exclaimed.

"I'm not quite sure, I don't mean to bum you guys out, but I don't think I'll be pursuing any villains any time soon. Being that I'll be armless for a while, plus the whole lung injury. I can't exactly risk using Mikaboshi as my line of defense and offence until I'm sure we can handle multiple threats." I replied.

"So, he's not like a Stand ability?" Kaminari wondered.

"No, Kaminari, he's not. He doesn't seem to be weakened by the state I'm in now. He acts as his own being with his own consciousness. So, whatever he wants to do, he can very well do it." I told him.

Mina walked over to me and put her arm in and out of where my right arm would be.

"Do you feel lighter? I've always wanted to ask you that." Mina asked.

"Kinda? I don't really feel any different, weight wise, that is." I responded.

I returned my gaze over to Momo who was staring at my right side. I wish there was some way that I can fully cheer her up, I guess the only way to do that would be if I get my Quirk back.

[The Next Day...]

School today was gonna be interesting to say the least. I'm right-handed, and my right arm is gone, I'm sure everyone understood why I was staring at my notebook. I put my hand on my head and sighed.

"I take it back, being Future Gohan fucking sucks." I muttered.

"Alyx, I can help you out." Shoto told me.

I looked to my right, "Oh, okay! Thank you!"

As Midnight kept teaching, I made sure to pay close attention to everything myself, instead of daydreaming since Shoto told me he'd help me. I glanced over at Momo; she was writing but it was shaky. I moved my left hand over to her dangling right hand and held it. Her demeanor changed and her writing became steadier. I guess her thoughts were getting the best of her. Mr. Aizawa wanted to address my situation after this period was over. We were going to be doing one last Joint Training with 3-B. It's been 2 years since the last one and I was super excited to see how much they've grown!
