I felt the cold ground on my back, did I fall off the couch? No, wait, the floor is carpeted in the Common Room. I opened my eyes, the area around me was pitch black, but I could still see myself almost as if there was light shining on me.
"Alyx Leonidus, it's a pleasure to finally meet you, I assume you had been getting my messages?" A woman's voice called out.
I somehow floated up onto my feet! I looked forward and saw a woman dressed in a rather pretty floral kimono. She smiled gently at me, I've never felt a feeling of warmth come from someone else's smile before, it's greater than Grandfather Tanjiro's!
"My name is Chiyoko Kamado, I am the first user of that ability of yours, Overdrive." She introduced.
I quickly bowed forward, "It's an honor to meet you, ma'am!"
"How polite! But please, call me by my first name, I'm fairly certain you can at least do that. I don't reckon you'd like to call me all those greats like your Grandfather Tanjiro does." She giggled.
"No, honestly I don't, I think I'd pass out if I tried! But... That was you sending me those messages? I thought it was a man of some sort." I replied.
"Ah, it was just a ruse to keep you thinking. Come with me, I have much to tell you and much to show you!" Chiyoko beamed.
I took her hand and we started walking. The void of nothingness became clear blue skies, in front of us was a huge manor, there were stone steps leading up to the doors. We weren't walking on solid land, instead, we were walking on what seemed to be water. It didn't feel wet whatsoever and my socks didn't get wet either. We stopped several feet away from the stairs, she had me sit down next to her and look at the ground below. Images flashed from my own past and... My future?
"Woah... Is that... The future?" I asked.
"Indeed, it is, every stepped you've taken on this journey has led to positive things. Albeit it might seem like hell trying to get there, it all turns out well in the end for you, as many things do." She replied.
I sat there and watched my own future, she stopped right on a picture of Momo, two children, and me. I felt tears of joy fall down my face, I wipe my eyes with my sleeve and laughed.
"I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but it's nice to see that, you know?" I smiled.
She switched towards past events, although it looked to be still in the future. I watched as she came across one where it showed Deku and I standing side by side. Our fists were held high in the air after we finished a clearly heard fought battle. I wasn't entirely sure when this was or how old I'd be. The images rippled away and she place her hand on top of mine.
"That was your future, I cannot explain these events in detail, for I do not have any context as to what happens. That must be lived by you, Alyx." She told me.
We stood up and continued our way towards the manor. As we entered, a rush of cold air hit my face, the entrance hall was gigantic! We entered what seemed to be the biggest dining room I've ever seen in my entire life! There, sitting stone faced in their chairs, were other people.
"All of these people had wielded the Overdrive ability long before you were born. Each have their own unique set of abilities to coincide with it as well, much like you have, I believe with your Mother's ability?" Chiyoko informed me.
"Yes ma'am, I do have another ability outside of my Overdrive." I answered.
I heard someone call out my name from behind me. I turned around and saw Great Grandpa, Aunt Nezuko, Uncle Zenitsu and Uncle Inosuke! I ran over to them and hugged all of them. This must not've been a dream if they were here!
"I'm so glad to see all of you!" I beamed.
"We are as well, Alyx. This is a wonderful place, isn't it?" Aunt Nezuko replied.
"I-Inosuke, please don't touch that!" Great Grandpa shouted.
We looked over to see him trying to dismantle a suit of armor. He was shaking that thing around like fucking crazy! I heard loud, thumping footsteps, it felt like the whole manor was shaking apart!
"Oh ho ho! Alyx? Is that you? Come here my friend!" A man bellowed.
I looked up and saw a huge man, "W-Woah, you're really tall! Is that your other ability?"
He picked me up with ease and hugged me. I would've figured he would've squeezed the life out of me with his big arms, but surprisingly, he was rather gentle.
"It's so great to see you, relative! I'm your 7 times Great Uncle, Leonard Regalto!" He smiled.
"I-It's nice to meet you!" I smiled back.
I looked over his shoulder and noticed dozens of other people standing behind him. All of them bore smiling faces, he set me down and stepped aside. Chiyoko stood in front of the large gathering of people.
"These are your ancestors, Alyx. Although they have carved their own paths as powerful users in their own right, your light shines the brightest out of them all. As a matter of fact, it's the only light shining that brightly, the other lights above are nowhere near as bright as yours." She noted.
"I... This is all so surreal; I didn't think the Overdrive Quirk was passed down through so many generations. I wonder how strong all of you are!" I grinned.
A woman stepped forward and messed my hair up, "Ah, an eager fighter! I guess some of our genes did pass onto you!"
My veins started to glow once more, everyone looked as they started to glow the brightest I've ever seen them glow! Chiyoko walked forward and her veins were glowing as well.
"So, you do have it in you. I suspected this for quite some time now, but to see it in person, my belief has been fulfilled." She remarked.
"I have what in me?" I questioned.
"You, Alyx Leonidus, are the second person to be blessed by the Gods. You possess God Quirk potential." She explained.
"God... Quirk...? That's real? I thought it was just a legend or some kind of myth?" I responded.
A long-haired man stepped out next to her, "No, no, it's real. Lady Chiyoko was the first to enter this state, being the first to explore deeper within this ability, which hasn't been seen for generations! Until now, of course."
Chiyoko's body turned a luminescent white, the only thing her Overdrive didn't cover was her face, the design of the hanafuda earrings I wore was glowing on her torso. They all explained more about it, apparently, it's the complete and total balance of my Quirk. Something that's rather hard to reach and master. I guess I was meeting that criteria already, being that one sign was the glowing veins I had from time to time. After this conversation, Uncle Zenitsu wanted to speak with me about something.
"Alyx, it's been quite a while! How have you been?" He asked.
"I've been doing great, actually! Way better than a few weeks ago, that's for sure." I replied.
He didn't say anything, his smiled quickly changed into rather fast paced yelling.
"SO YOU AREN'T GONNA TELL ME ABOUT THAT LITTLE ADVENTURE YOU WENT ON?! YOU WERE SURROUNDED BY WOMEN GODDAMN IT!! DO YOU REALIZE HOW MUCH OF A DREAM THAT WAS TO ME WHEN I WAS ALIVE?!?" He roared.
I guarded my face, "H-HEY! DON'T YELL AT ME! IF YOU WANTED TO KNOW, I COULD'VE TOLD YOU! BESIDES I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH ANY OF THEM, GOT IT?! IF I DID, I'D HAVE A LAWSUIT KNOCKING DOWN MY DOOR RIGHT NOW! IT'S NOT LIKE WOMEN AREN'T FOND OF ME ANYWAY!"
"Z-Zenitsu, I think we should tone down the yel-" Great Grandpa tried to interject.
"TONE DOWN?! HE'S SWARMING WITH BABES AND HE DOESN'T THINK OF IMPRESSING THEM!?" He shouted.
"I ALREADY HAVE SOMEONE THAT I'M SEEING, THAT'S WHY!" I shouted back.
Uncle Zenitsu calmed down, "Oh, you do? Show me then!"
I nodded at his challenge and pulled my phone out. I showed him a picture of Momo, to which, his nose started to bleed!
"Y-You... I underestimated you... You've really hit the jackpot with her! What have you done with her, huh? Have you done... It?" He chuckled and whispered.
"Are you talking 'Special Training'? We do that from time to time! It's really fun!" I beamed.
He started to tear up, "Finally... A relative that isn't scared of being a ladies' man... This makes me so proud!"
"I wouldn't call being a Mineta a thing to be proud of, Uncle Zenitsu." I laughed.
"A who?" He wondered.
I shook my head and sighed, if I had to explain who Mineta is, I'm sure he'd be wanting to meet the man himself. From what it feels like, and from what Chiyoko told me, this would be my "Central Hub" whenever I enter the Seventh Plane from now on. I waved everyone goodbye as I exited the Plane. I woke up on the couch with Momo sitting on my lap, she was fast asleep, it was just us two instead of Eri and Luna being by my side. I slowly got up and started walking to my room. It was around midnight; I'm surprised I slept for that long!
Mikaboshi opened my bedroom door, I gently laid her down on my bed and went to take a shower. I never realized that I had a shower and bathroom of my own in my room! All this time, I thought it was just an extra closet space! I took my robotic arm off before hopping into the shower. It was kind of weird having to do that now, I guess I'm not used to it yet.
[20 Minutes Later...]
I finished showering and entered my room to a rather interesting sight. Mr. Giyu was sitting next to Momo, his hand was gently placed on Momo's cheek, he was slowly rubbing his thumb across it.
(I.R.P.: Listen to "Family ~ Memories" from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)
"Alyx, it's a pleasure to see you." He softly smiled.
"Oh, Mr. Giyu, it's a pleasure to see you as well. What are you doing here?" I replied.
"I'm just checking in on my relative. She's doing quite well now that you're feeling much better. Her thoughts are no longer dark and dreary." Giyu told me.
I tilted my head, "Y-You're related to Momo? That's... Rather interesting."
"Indeed, there's still much for you to learn. I can sense an eagerness from you as well, you truly are like your Grandfather, such an open mind like yours is a rather rare sight to see." He responded.
I would've figured that Todoroki would've been one of his relatives!
"Mr. Giyu, I just have one question. Is it possible for all of you to come back?" I asked.
He chuckled and sighed, "I'm afraid not. We've grown comfortable with the afterlife. But if I'm correct, you're wanting all of us back because... You think of us as family?"
"I do, from what Great Grandpa told me, most of you never really got to live out your lives. That just doesn't sit right with me, not one bit." I confirmed.
He walked over and placed his hand on my shoulder. The calmness radiating from him was intense, I've never felt anything like it!
"We've lived what our fates assigned us, Alyx. All of us passed on nobly, whether it be from old age, or fighting side by side with one another. We all lived our lives to the fullest, experienced everything it had to offer us, that's why we're comfortable with where we are now. It's rather courteous of you to be concerned about us, Alyx." Giyu continued.
"Thank you, Mr. Giyu. Before you go, I have something for you!" I responded.
I quickly walked over to my desk and pulled out a letter. I handed it to him, he looked at it with confusion.
"Hm? A letter?" He questioned.
I nodded at him, "Yes, it's for all of you! I've been meaning to come visit but I've been a little preoccupied with things."
"Alright, I'll make sure the others see this. Thank you, Alyx, goodbye for now." He smiled.
He slowly faded away with the letter. I felt cool air rush over me as his presence finally left the room.
