You ARE a Hero! Confidence Restored!

"And that's pretty much how I met Ikari! Wasn't that something?" I smiled.

Momo blinked a few times and just stared at me, "You never cease to amaze me, you know that? What's next? Did you happened to encounter a succubus as well? That'd be quite the story."

"Do you... Want me to tell you that story as well?" I asked.

"Shut up! You did not!" She giggled.

I shook my head and laughed with her. She doesn't know about the succubi... She will NEVER know about the succubi. Not even my own family knows about it.

"Woah! A succubus? Sounds hot." Kaminari chimed in.

I looked over and saw him poke his head out from underneath my bed. We stared at each other for a bit.

"What are you doing?" I questioned.

"Deep sea diving." He replied.

"Oh, okay, continue on then." I nodded.

He nodded back at me before sliding back underneath my bed. Momo looked lost and confused.

"I... Alyx... W-What...?" She sputtered.

"He's deep-sea diving! He does that from time to time, normally to hide from one of two people, Bakugo or Jiro." I explained.

There was a knock on my door, it was both Bakugo and Jiro! I nodded at them and they both immediately went underneath my bed. Momo put her hands together and sighed.

"I'm living in a madhouse, there's no other way to explain it." She muttered.

"It's a FUNhouse, actually. Nobody's angry here besides Bakugo so it doesn't count." I joked.

Momo looked over at me, "I'm about 3.548 seconds away from making duct tape specifically for your mouth."

I laughed at what she said and gave her a kiss. After about an hour of lounging around in bed, I decided to watch this year's Sports Festival, being that I wasn't present for any of it practically. Momo put her head on my shoulder and watched with me.

"Wow, you made it to the finals against Deku? Awesome." I noted.

"That I did. It was rather fun actually!" She replied.

I kept watching it, I kind of wish I was there to cheer her on. Judging by the sounds of the stadium, it wasn't too lively in there, I guess I could understand why. She was putting up an amazing fight against him! I turned my phone off and placed it on my nightstand.

"Oh? Aren't you wanting to watch the rest, darling?" Momo wondered.

"Nah, I already got told who won. Deku told me everything!" I lied and smiled.

I got up from my bed to put a new shirt on, honestly, that was still eating me up on the inside. Not being able to participate in my last Sports Festival simply because I overthought something... I heard something hit the floor, I didn't even realize that I was starting to cry.

"What was that? Did you drop something?" Momo questioned.

I kept facing towards my closet, "O-Oh, yeah! I think something might've fallen out of one of my jackets."

I laughed it off and went deeper into my closet to act like I was looking for a shirt. I wiped my face with one of my hoodies before pulling a random shirt out.

"Alyx, I thought you said that you didn't like that shirt?" Momo remarked.

"Huh? What? When did I say that?" I nervously laughed.

"Y-You're crying, darling. What's the matter?" She replied.

I didn't even think about it, but I guess the whole time I was talking to her, my thoughts got the better of me. I wiped my eyes and sighed.

"I guess it's because of the Sports Festival, that's all." I admitted.

"Well, that's why I told you to watch the end, Alyx." She slightly laughed.

I was kind of confused, what exactly did she want me to see? I picked my phone up and sat down next to her. I skipped past the fight and towards the closing ceremony. It cut out from that and to... All Might?

"Young Leonidus, hello! I bet you're wondering what exactly this is. Well, this is just a special version of the Sports Festival that Eraserhead and other members of U.A. decided to make. The link of this video has only been sent out to you and your classmates." He introduced.

"I'd imagine you're wondering why I'm speaking to you after my supposed 'death', but I'll explain that to you soon. I understand why you did what you did at this year's Sports Festival and why you refuse to call yourself a hero. It takes a lot of strength to embrace your wrongdoings. But... Young Leonidus, it isn't right for you to be feeling as if your Quirk only brings harm. Think of all the things you've done that've saved countless of lives and brought a smile to people's faces!" All Might continued.

A picture of all of us during our First Year took All Might's place, "You've brought joy to all of those around you, even during those times of uncertainty, you had an ever-bright demeanor about things. That's what makes someone a hero! So, that's why..."

"You ARE a hero!" Midnight appeared.

"You are a hero." Mr. Aizawa smiled.

"Sensei, you are a hero!" Selina and Sota beamed.

"You're a hero, bro!" Kirishima grinned.

"You're a hero, Alyx." Bakugo smirked.

Kaminari slammed a drink down, "You are a hero!"

"You're a hero to all of us!" The girls cheered.

"You're my hero, darling." Momo softy smiled.

"Alyx, you are a hero!" Deku grinned.

"You're a hero!" Everyone chirped.

The video cut back to All Might who had a smile on his face.

"Young man, you ARE a hero, your actions have shaped the future for the better. Your willingness to put yourself on the line to save others, that's what makes you a hero. Not just to them, but to the people of Japan, and to everyone around the world. I know deep down, you know you are a hero, Young Leonidus." He ended.

The video returned to the closing ceremony of the Sports Festival. I couldn't move a single muscle at all. My lip began to quiver and I felt tears roll down my face. I moved my arm up to my eyes to wipe them.

"T-Thank you... Thank you all so much." I quietly wept.

Momo hugged me, "See? There's no need to keep beating yourself up over this."

I moved my arm away from my face. I sniffled and smiled at my phone.

"I see now, I guess there really isn't anything to be hung up on anymore." I spoke up.

I got up and walked over to my closet, I pulled out my old hero costume, the one with "Leonidus" on the front of it.

"I called myself 'Braveheart' because it gave me a reason to forget who I was. Hiding behind a hero name was something I took comfort in. But... I don't want to be known by some alias anymore. I think Leonidus is ready for a comeback, permanently this time. No more hiding behind a mask, no more dumb doubting bullshit, and no more playing pretend." I continued.

I turned and smiled at Momo, "I promise I'll be the best hero I can possibly be!"

"That smile kills me every time, you know that?" Momo cooed.

Momo got up and walked towards me. She held both of my hands and wiped one of my eyes.

"So, I'd imagine you're getting that costume retailored, yes?" She wondered.

"I think it still fits. It's been what? 2 years since I last wore it?" I joked.

"Ah, of course! You haven't changed whatsoever in the last two years. Try it on." Momo laughed.

I shoved one arm through it and it ripped completely. I looked down at the ground, up at Momo, down at the ground again, then back up at her.

"Like a fucking glove." I whispered.

"I bet I could actually wear that, darling. Hand it over!" She giggled.

I gave her the hero costume and she slipped it on. She crossed her arms and smirked at me.

"Hmph! See, I told you so!" She proclaimed.

The chest of the costume burst open, I pointed and started laughing.

"You were saying? It seems as if it doesn't fit after all." I noted.

She started her pouting face, "D-Don't laugh at me! You're the one who broke it first, it was bound to happen."

"Yeah, it seems my costume and I are on the same wavelength." I smirked.

Her face turned red and springs shot out of her elbows. I caught one right before it hit the ground.

"Such vulgarity! Although, you do make it charming, unlike Mineta." Momo told me.

Right before anything happened between us, I saw Kaminari climb out from under my bed.

"Hey... W-What's... What's the whirly twirly thing...?" He panted.

"Every time... Kami, what did you ask again?" I replied.

He held up a piece of paper, "I found this thing that talks about how to do something called the 'Windy Whirly Twisty Twirly' move."

I quickly grabbed the paper and sent it flying through my balcony door with a Diamond Buster. It exploded in the air, which I let out a sigh of relief, I turned over to face Momo and Kaminari who were stunned.

"It. Was. Nothing!" I smiled.

"O-O... Okay, well I gotta go! Jiro and Bakugo nearly got me!" Kaminari responded.

He rushed out of my room as I turned over to reconstruct my balcony door. I sighed and crossed my arms.

"You can take my hero costume off, Momo." I told her.

"But I like wearing it, it smells exactly like you, darling!" She argued.

"Good grief... Alright, you can keep it on. At least you have a shirt on underneath it." I muttered.

Her eyes lit up with joy, "Yes!"

[10 Minutes Later...]

I opened the fridge to find that we had three jugs of apple juice. I looked over towards the Common Room where everyone else was at.

"Who the fuck bought 3 things of apple juice? Who had the audacity not to tell me?" I wondered.

"Will Deku's Dad ever come back home? Will Round Face ever not be broke? I don't think we'll ever know, Alyx." Bakugo answered.

"I'm gonna come over there and make you float out the window, Bakugo." Uraraka threatened.

I walked in with one of the jugs, "That would be something I'd like to see."

"Dude, why didn't you just grab a glass?" Sero asked.

I smiled at him which caused Momo to shoot a look over at me.

"Alyx Leonidus, don't you dare." She warned.

"Yaomomo, he's a goddamn man if he can do it!" Kirishima exclaimed.

Deku made his way downstairs, "Woah, are you actually going to chug that? Do it!"

"Izuku! Don't!" Uraraka shouted.

"Why not? It's not like he's gonna die or anything like that!" Kaminari countered.

[5 Minutes Later...]

Iida had to perform the Heimlich maneuver on me, then he scolded us boys for egging me on.

"Was it worth it? Most definitely." I admitted.

"Now, you're gonna clean that apple juice up off the floor, sweetheart." Momo added.

"Oh, yeah? And who's gonna make me?" I responded.

"Yeah, you stick it to 'em, Alyx!" Kaminari cheered.

The girls all glared at me, menacing auras surrounded each of them.

"I-I was just kidding!" I nervously chuckled.

I entered Gear Four and cleaned my mess up as fast as I could.

"Fuckin' juice... Goddamn fuckin' juice..." I muttered in English.

"What is he saying?" I heard Deku ask.

"It sounds scary!" Hagakure added.

I stopped cleaning up my mess, I never realized how much power I truly had over everyone else. How did I even forget that none of them really spoke in English? I returned to cleaning up my mess and finally finished it. I stood up to brush myself off.

"I'm the strongest hero in the room, say what?" I quickly announced in English.

"What?" Everyone but Momo spoke up.

"In your dreams, darling." Momo smiled.

"Oh fuck, she knows!" I laughed.

Kaminari tilted his head, "Huh? She knows? What were you saying?"

"Oh, I was just speaking in English! Now that I think about it, it would really be useful for hero work." I explained.

"Speaking of English, I don't mean to sound rude, but has anyone told you that saying other people's first names here is rude?" Jiro wondered.

My smiled turned into a look of absolute horror. I've been going all of this time saying people's first names. I put both of my hands on my forehead as my eyes widened.

"Holy fuck... I've been unintentionally rude to so many people... Oh sweet fuck..." I fretted.

"Just throw him into an existential crisis, why don't we?" Bakugo remarked.

"Does this mean that I have to start calling Momo 'Yaoyorozu' again?" I questioned.

Momo shook her head, "If you weren't given permission by me, then yes. But I remember giving you permission when we went to that aquatic zoo during our First Year."

"Oh, right... Well, please forgive me still! I didn't realize that it was disrespectful!" I bowed at them.

"Dude, you've literally 'died' two times, all of which saved the world basically. I don't think that we're gonna get mad that you used some of our first names." Sero reassured me.

"Yeah, it's cool, man. No need to stress out about it." Kirishima added.

Deku nodded in agreement, "I mean, I was fine with you calling me Izuku when we first met. I guess I was used to it since that's what my mother called me."

"Isn't that your name anyway? I hope she'd know your first name, Midoriya!" Kaminari chuckled.

The attention in the room turned directly towards Kaminari.

"No. Fucking. Shit." Bakugo replied.

"What? I'm just stating the facts here!" He exclaimed.

"Let's just say that everyone loves you dearly, Kaminari, and we may be concerned about the state of your brain." Jiro chimed in.

Right before he said anything, Tsuyu interrupted, "Please think before you say what you're about to say."

"My brain is in my head, where else would it be?" Kaminari asked.

Bakugo sat up from the couch and went into the kitchen, "I'm leaving before I decide to get fucking violent."

I decided to take my leave as well, I needed to talk to Hatsume about readjusting my hero costume. My phone started to ring as I walked outside. It was Melissa!

"Hey! I almost forgot to check in on you, how's the medicine working?" Melissa questioned.

"It's working wonders! I'm feeling a million times better thanks to you! Also, I have a bit of a favor to ask now that I you're on the phone with me." I replied.

"Sure, what's up?" She wondered.

"I was going to ask Hatsume to do this, but I figured you guys would have it done a bit faster. May you make a new hero costume for me? I can send you the design plan I have for it once I finish it up." I answered.

"Yeah! Dad and I would love to! Just send me those plans whenever you get the chance and we'll get right to work!" Melissa chirped.

After that phone call with Melissa, I walked back inside the dorms, Shinso was standing by the door with a glass of water. We watched as Iida was talking to Momo about something.

"Has anyone ever told you he tried to kill that Stain guy?" Shinso wondered.

"Whaaat? You're shitting me, right? There's no way!" I doubted.

"It's true, Midoriya and Todoroki told me about it." He conceded.

Huh, I never knew that! I really wonder what happened that caused Iida to do that?
