Trouble on the Horizon? Artificial All For One?!

I told Mr. Aizawa about the phone call I got from Rei. He was as skeptical as I am, why would she call me all of the sudden like that? It sounded legit but then again... This is Rei we're dealing with.

"We'll look into it, thank you for telling me." Mr. Aizawa told me.

I sat back down in my desk and waited for Ectoplasm to enter the room. I decided to see what exactly was going on for myself.

"Rei, can you hear me?" I asked telepathically.

"A-Alyx! Where are you? Are you here?" She frantically answered.

"No, I'm communicating to you through my telepathy, I need you to tell me what's going on." I replied.

"Okay... We've been... No, Doe has been conducting experiments on herself. I wasn't sure with what being that I was preoccupied with my things. I overheard her rambling to herself about being like her new 'Father'. She sometimes goes into constant hysterics about wielding this higher power. I'm not sure what I'm gonna-" Rei explained.

She stopped talking, almost as if she was cut out completely. I tried contacting her again but it was no good. After class was over and rushed up to Mr. Aizawa.

"I talked to Rei, she told me that Doe Setsuko's been doing experiments on herself and calling to some higher power she calls 'Father'. Sound familiar?" I informed him.

"You aren't suggesting that she's... That's impossible, he's been locked up for nearly 2 years now." Mr. Aizawa replied.

I shook my head, "I know, but... Is it possible to replicate Quirks? It sounds crazy but hear me out, these resources they've been gathering, we don't know a whole lot about them or where they're coming from. If they've been gathering technology in order to replicate All For One... Then we're in deep shit, Mr. Aizawa."

"I've never heard of anyone replicating a Quirk, All For One isn't just a Quirk someone can replicate, the same goes for other Quirks." Mr. Aizawa countered.

"What if that's what they've been doing this entire time that we've thought they were 'dormant'? How long have they been silent? A year? 2 years?" I questioned.

"...That's a fair point. I guess we can't exactly rule it out just yet until we get evidence. If that's the case, we'll need to track down Setsuko immediately. Do you have one of the Quartet Girls' Heat Energies?" He agreed.

"Yes, I do! Rei is the only one I've managed to hit with my Overdrive, plus, she's the one we need to head to!" I nodded.

Ectoplasm entered the room, Mr. Aizawa told him the situation, he let us leave to quickly take care of it. Hopefully, Rei's okay, she doesn't deserve to die!

[30 Minutes Later...]

We arrived at what used to be a compound of sorts. The building and surrounding area was completely demolished. Rei's Heat Energy was still there, faint, but I could still feel it. Mr. Aizawa and I looked for her in the rubble.

"Over here!" He shouted.

I ran over and found Rei, she was bleeding heavily, her heartbeat was slow. I carefully healed her to avoid putting her into shock. Her eyes started to open and she coughed up blood. Who knew I'd willingly be saving a girl that's kidnapped me twice? She let out a small surprised gasp as her vision began to clear up.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay, I promise!" I smiled.

She pulled me closer to her and wrapped her arms around me. The look in her eyes, I've never seen someone hold that much fear in their own eyes before.

"P-Please... Keep me safe... Please..." She wept.

"Can you tell us what happened? Did Setsuko-" Mr. Aizawa tried to ask.

She started freaking out after hearing her name. Her grip tightened on the collar of my student blazer. I looked up at Mr. Aizawa who was already looking at me, I don't think we'll be getting an answer from her anytime soon. Where were the other two members at? Fa and Mee should be here, right?

"Looking for someone?" I heard someone question.

I turned around and saw a gut-wrenching sight, Doe stood before us, fused with both Mee and Fa. Her skin was pale, eyes bloodshot, and smile ever so widened. I could tell that Mee and Fa were trapped inside of her, being that she bore similar features to the both of them, Doe was almost like an abomination.

"I'm not here to harm you, the look of fear on your faces is delightful enough. I'd much rather wait until I see you again to witness the look on your face as you die, Leonidus, Eraser Head." Doe grinned.

She was right, I could feel my body slightly tremble out of fear, this was unreal... I couldn't move a single muscle at all, but I made sure to keep Rei in my arms.

"Oh? You managed to survive, Rei? Look at you! You must've really been obsessed with Leonidus enough to even take on that annoying 'never say die' attitude. Don't you worry, your time will come soon, I'll make sure you join me as well. It's what Father wants, if he wants it, he'll get it." She smirked.

Those red and black claws shot out of her hands and into the ground below. She retracted them back, almost as if she was showing off her new found abilities. I held Rei closer to me, my guard was up, and I was more than ready to fight.

"Father calls me elsewhere, consider yourselves lucky, for now." Doe announced.

Those claws shot out of her back, Doe rose up into the air and began to walk East. I couldn't help but notice her veins, I could see the blood clearly flowing through them. Not to mention the look she had in her eyes; it was a darkness I've never felt before in the 18 years I've been alive. It was greater than All For One and Shigaraki's combined! From the way it looked, and the way it felt, we could've done nothing to stop her.

"Shit..." I heard Mr. Aizawa mutter.

Something inside of me was burning but my entire body felt cold.

"A-Alyx...?" Rei whispered.

As I continued to watch Doe walk away from us, a million things ran through my mind. What exactly was Doe planning to do? Could any of us actually stop her?

"Hey!" I finally spoke up.

Doe turned around and raised an eyebrow. Mr. Aizawa placed his hand on my back as I furrowed my eyebrows.

"You're gonna die." I scowled.

I used Overdrive: Breakdown to transport all of us away from Doe and the compound. We appeared in Recovery Girl's office, which startled her quite a bit! We explained the situation to her and about what we theorized about Doe might just be true. Mr. Aizawa tried to dismiss me back to class, but Rei wouldn't let me go anywhere! I tried to move but she only clung onto me tighter.

"R-Rei... I need to-" I tried to say.

"I'm sorry." She sniffled.

I looked at her with one eyebrow lowered, "Eh? Sorry for...?"

"Everything I've done to you, all of it. I don't want to be a villain anymore but I've done so much that I should be killed for it. Maybe you should've just let me die back there." Rei lamented.

I looked over at Mr. Aizawa and Recovery Girl, they nodded at me and stood outside of the room. I turned my head over to face Rei, I pushed her hair out of her face and smiled.

"If you're wondering if I'm gonna forgive you, I already have. After what just happened, I hold no bad feelings against you, neither will I ever again. Admitting your wrongdoings to someone and acknowledging that you messed up, I can't hate someone for doing that." I reassured her.

Rei looked up at me, she blinked a few times before she started staring into my eyes. She closed her eyes and got closer to me.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

She opened her eyes, "We aren't gonna kiss? The lighting's right and everything! You just can't keep your hand on my forehead and not expect me to think we're gonna make out!"

"D'ya think this was a romance fanfic or some shit?" I chuckled.

"N-No..." She muttered.

Rei put her two index fingertips together and looked to the side.

"You wrote a fanfiction about me, didn't you?" I questioned.

"Yes..." She replied.

I crossed my arms, "Self-insert?"

Rei nodded her head at me. I shook my head and chuckled, she really did make everything about me, didn't she?

"You're such a weirdo, you know that? I think that's adorable." I laughed.

"Can I feel your abs?" Rei quickly asked.

"W-What? Why exactly do you-" I wondered.

In a flash, she had my shirt and blazer completely buttoned down. Her hand went flying onto my stomach.

"Yeah, that's the stuff." She muttered.

"Do you just want to take my blazer? I have more at my dorm room." I told her.

Rei quickly pulled it off me and covered herself in it. Her pink eyes started to glow and change into heart shapes.

"This is the best day ever! My dream hottie just gave me one of his jackets! I think I'm gonna..." She squealed.

"I'm gonna leave before you even finish that sentence. I'm sure Eraser Head will set you up with a place to stay on campus." I responded.

I left the office as I buttoned up my uniform shirt. Recovery Girl returned to her office to treat any other injuries Rei might have.

"I'm trusting you to keep this to yourself, I don't want an uproar caused because of this. I'm bringing what we found to the other Pros once you head back to class." Mr. Aizawa confided.

"Yes sir, I'll keep quiet about this." I promised.

This was gonna be hard. After what I just seen, how could I not tell anyone? I looked up at the clock as soon as I heard the bell chime. It was lunch time!

[10 Minutes Later...]

I was transfixed on my food, the image of Doe was practically burned into my mind, does she really have All For One?

"Alyx? Are you good, man?" Kirishima wondered.

"Ha-Hee-Who? I'm fine!" I exclaimed.

"Your food's going to get cold if you don't eat up, darling." Momo giggled.

I nodded and got to eating so that I didn't arouse suspicion. That feeling I got from her was the same feeling I got when we first fought Shigaraki. If she did somehow 'create' All For One, what else has she done to herself? I leaned over and pulled a random notebook out of my bag. I started coming up with the possible ideas of what she could've done. From the way she looked, she was nearly deranged, possibly from constant use of some sort of drug. My pencil was soaring through hundreds of ideas, thanks to Gear Five.

"No... No... Maybe... That could be it... The feeling around her was just like that..." I muttered.

I tore one of the pages out and crushed it in my hand. I kept going, maybe I could figure something out, possibly?

"D-Darling, what are you doing?" I heard Momo ask.

I was too busy concentrating on what I was doing, so I guess I didn't think to answer her. I finally came up with some sort of answer. Doe must've used the resources to drastically improve her physical nature by any means necessary, even if that meant going bat shit crazy. Then, they located the area where we fought All For One, his body must not've completely disintegrated in that full power shot Deku and I hit him with. So presumably, the Quartet Girls or just Doe herself dug up All For One's body, then they must've experimented on it. Then, All For One himself might've just visited Doe, much like how he did with me. In turn, she submitted herself to him to obtain his power, almost like some sort of possession. But in this case, she's still herself instead of being completely controlled by All For One.

"That's it!" I exclaimed.

"What? What did you do?" Deku wondered.

"Oh, I was just talking to myself. Sorry if I made you guys weirded out." I laughed.

"At least you aren't doing something a villain would do!" Uraraka added.

I looked over at her and smiled, "I've done at least nearly everything a villain would do."

"You've done drugs?!" Kaminari gasped.

"NEARLY. It doesn't mean everything, Kami! Momo would kick my ass!" I chuckled.

"Don't you mean your Mother would, Alyx?" Shoto wondered.

I leaned over to Shoto's ear, "She's a really scary lady, Shoto."

"Whatever he just told you, Todoroki, I agree with." Momo grinned.

Shoto's eyes widened and he nervously sweated with me.

"What has she done to you?" Shoto whispered.

"Things I cannot mention in front of pure minds and ears." I whispered back.

Shoto looked towards Deku, "Midoriya, can you cover your ears? Alyx would like to disclose secrets to me."

[30 Minutes Later...]

We waited back in our classroom for Mr. Aizawa. The door slid open, instead of it being just him, it was the other staff members along with him!

"Alright everyone, I need your full attention. We've stumbled across something rather startling as of late. We're going to need all hands-on deck with this one, so, we're splitting all of you up into groups to head to different locations around Japan. We'll have two Pro Heroes meet you at those locations for further instruction." Mr. Aizawa announced.

Everyone was confused, but I knew exactly what was going on. Mr. Aizawa had projected a map onto the board in front of us.

"Midoriya, you'll be leading a team with Leonidus, Bakugo, Yaoyorozu, Uraraka, and Kirishima." Mr. Aizawa told us.

Deku nodded at him, "Mr. Aizawa, where are we going to be stationed at?"

[A Couple Hours Later...]

The car ride to this small town of Morioh was rather nice! From the hill we were on, the town looked beautiful.

"Wow, look at that... It looks like a quaint town. I'd imagine it must be peaceful during the summer. I'd love to live in a place like this!" Momo noted.

I looked over at her and smiled as she gazed out of the window. I rested my head on my hand and looked out of the window next to me. This definitely was a quiet town, maybe not for long, but I'd imagine there wasn't anything evil going on here. I wonder how similar it was to that one manga I read? I've heard a lot about this place being rather peaceful, having avoided conflict for quite a while now. We had reservations at a hotel near the town, the two Pro Heroes that were joining us were meeting us there.

"So, what's the plan? Are we supposed to patrol around this town?" Bakugo asked.

"Yeah, I'm assuming so, Kacchan. We'll have to until we figure out what's going on." Deku replied.

We approach the hotel and stopped on the side of the road. All of us got out of the car to head inside of the hotel. Once inside, I couldn't help but grin, I guess I wasn't expecting these Pro Heroes to be with us!
