Coming of Mischeif

Loki is known to the world as the god of mischief and the previous member of the Aesir, he could change his shape and sex and was the son of the giant Farbauti. Loki worked with fate to bring forth the power of the godslayer so that he may be the only true god that stays in the realms.his vision was to recreate the world in his image, but unfortunately when the Greek god of Magic Hecate discovered the cunning god's plans. He bound him to a rock on Jotunheim and he was escaping with his stepbrother Thor, he was magically pulled back to Jotunheim where he was to spend eternity unless a god sets him free.

When you are a champion of battle, you are a child of Odin. At least that's what Althread the first Viking king believed. That's why his sword was only passed on to worthy warriors who carried his same spirit in battle. The sword was believed to have been blessed by Odin itself and its true power will be unveiled when the most worthy uses it. Only demigods have held that sword and have been able to use it but not at full power. The sword is also said to be as powerful as Odin's spear and its current holder is Ron Carter, the reincarnation of the great god of death and war.

Ron and Ellen had been escorted to a holding cell, by the giant they had come to know as Aseren the giant of magic. E said that he cant take the ring from Ron and that he could only give it to them willingly, and the challenge they organized was the one that was to decide that. They said that if he lost against their champions, he will be captured and surrender the ring at the same time. He accepted the challenge because he had faith in his strength.

He glanced at Ellen, they were both seated opposite ways while facing each other. She looked nervous and was biting her lower lip white rolling her eyes left and right to come up with a plan.

'We're dead, aren't we?' Ron said to break the silence that was in between the two.

"We knew this was coming the moment we agreed on saving your mother,"

"I know but we are gonna win," he said. "You of all people should know that since you can see the future. Right?"

Ellen chuckled softly," the future can be changed Ron. Nothing stays permanent," she stated. "You of all people should understand that. How can you say we will win this yet you just learned how to swing a sword a week ago. You didn't even know about the world of magic and gods and monsters, until a week ago. Ron." she had raised her voice on the last part.

But she was right Ron is just a fourteen-year-old boy in a world that is soon to burn down. He didn't know where this confidence had come from, but it was reduced when he saw someone like Ellen panic, the one person who has been leading this entire quest. It made him remember his actual purpose to stop fate and save the realms from Ragnarok by assembling the new chief gods. Maybe Thor was right about him risking all this for his mother.

But no, he can't give up now after coming so far.

"We will win, Ellen. I know we will," he said softly while staring at her with a smile on his face.

Ellen stared at him and felt like he deserved to know the truth about what was going to happen. But what if it crushes his spirit and he losses and then ends up handing over the ring to the giants and being locked up forever and the Aesir would never be formed.

The iron rod was moved and opened. A goblin was standing at the door, it was bigger than Ginsu and it had chains around its ankles and its arms. It was probably a slave.

"It is time," it said.

They both sighed and stood up to go see what was outside. On moving out of the cell, they discovered they were in a tunnel that led to a bright end.

Ron could hear rhythmic cheers coming from the other side.

They both walked into the light and behold. They were now in the center of what resembled a battle arena, surrounding them were giants of all kinds, big, small, ugly, and uglier. All cheering, but there was a silent one, at the top end of the arena under a huge red tent. Its face didn't show, but Ron could already tell this was the king giant they had spoken about. The one who was honored to see him.

--the entrance they had gone through disappeared--in front of them were three huge gates each with a frightening growl coming from within.

He turned to Ellen and nodded one more time before they both set into fighting positions.

Ron's sword appeared and he also unfolded his shield as they both waited for the first gate to open.

The whole place turned silent when the king lifted his gray thumb and showed it to the crowd. The thumb meant to begin. The giants even cheered louder as the first gate was pulled up.

The growling stopped and a giant minotaur stepped out of the darkness, at first it was in chains but then it was freed and a very loud roar came from its mouth and the entire arena rumbled.

Ron ran towards the monster with a battle cry and swung his sword into action. The tip of his blade was able to cut the monster's arm, but it wasn't enough because it recovered instantly.

They faced each other and the minotaur attacked with its horns pointed at Ron, he put his shield forward and the bull crashed its horns into that instead.  The force dragged him back a bit thanks to his strength, he was able to hold long enough before punching the beast straight in the face and smashing its bullnose.

Blood splattered out and some of it even got on Ron's t-shirt.

It cried with a very loud and vicious roar--advanced for Ron with steam shooting from its now recovered nose.

Ellen fired an arrow that landed on its left leg and hence it fell. She also fired a few more glowing arrows that surrounded it and when their ends glowed the creature was turned to stone instantly.

Ron kicked off the head and the entire crowd grew silent once again--Most giants' mouths dropped after seeing two kids kill a minotaur so easily.

Ron looked up and faced the king with a murderous gaze.

--The second gate was opened and another monster jumped out. Ron's mouth dropped after seeing this one. He was looking at a lion, with a goat's head in the middle and a dragon behind all on one monster. It was ten times bigger than the minotaur itself.

"A chimera," Ellen said. "I hate those things."

"How do we kill one?" he asked keeping his eyes fixed on the beast.

"We have to..."

She was interrupted when the beast attacked her with a blast of flames that she blocked using her crystal. It then struck her with its tail and she was sent flying to the very end of the arena.

--the giants began  to cheer once again--

The chimera opened its dragon mouth to burn Ellen, but it stopped when slammed its goat head was hit with a shield. Then turned its attention to the boy.

Ron pulled back the shield into his arms, but for some reason, the shield had grown heavier. He was getting tired.

--the chimera blew more flames that Ron cut through with his blade. It then sput out a liquid that he dodged.

"It can spit acid!" he thought to himself after seeing the liquid melt through the brick floor. He turned back to the creature, then lifted himself off the ground using the power of the ring.

"I hope I am not doing something dumb," he muttered.

Ron then shot himself forward through the air and was able to cut the dragon's head off, leaving only the goat and lion heads.
