What is a shadow? Is the question I recall

For it's that thing over there, right on the wall

A shadow is really a silhouette of black

But don't worry, for it will never attack

And no matter how far, you two could never separate

Yes, you are right, that shadow looks awfully scary

So much that everything else isn't but just barely

This shadow is from where darkness is near

A place where even the monsters would fear

But a shadow isn't a shadow without a light
