Chapter 17

"Why. Thank you. You have a great eye. Does your wife and teen daughter know that?" Lisa commented in sarcastic tone. He backed off.

"What are two of my favorite people doing." A good-looking old man was standing next to them.

"Hey Steve. Hey Lisa" He greeted both.

"Hey Adam. Long time no see man. I thought you stopped attending press conferences." Steve was happy to see him. He rescued him from a difficult situation.

"Yeah, I did. But this is important, and Jack wanted someone experienced here. So here I am." Adam explained.

"He Lisa, it seems like you are getting younger with time." He addressed Lisa.

"Thank you bos- Adam. How are you feeling? I heard you were hospitalized. I am so sorry I could not visit. I had some personal issues to deal with. I am sorry." He washed away her unpleasantness. Adam was her previous boss and mentor. An incredible man.

"It's alright hon. I am fine now." Adam smiled. There was a silence among three of them for a few moments.

"Do you know, Saans has almost completed a spaceship that can carry 10 people in space." Steve broke the silence.

"Yeah. Whenever, I think of this man I realize how insignificant my achievements have been." Adam responded. Lisa nodded.

"Anyone could be that when you are as lucky as he has been." Steve was jealous. Before anyone could comment, the speaker turned on and a female voice announced:

"The Founder and CEO of Saans Technologies has arrived. Please be seated. The press Conference will start in a few minutes.

All three of the split up and moved towards their designated seats.

"Before we start press conference, please allow me to introduce a few rules for this press conference. Please listen carefully and follow the rules for everyone's sake." A beautiful woman announced from behind the podium. She was Secretary of CEO.

Steve's remark stuck with Lisa. He was not the only person who envied the Founder and CEO of Saans. Anyone who knew him felt the same. Her assistant, Trish was already sitting in her chair. She sat in her chair and half-mindedly opened her Media kit provided by Saans Technologies. There was a notebook, a pen a few brochures and some chocolates in it.

Lisa stared blankly at the stage.

"The weather is drastically shifting year by year. This December no snowfall is accepted. The overall weather will dry and cold throughout USA if you look at the map…" In a presidential suite of a seven-star hotel, television was on with loud noise and weather forecast was being aired.

Behind tv lounge there was master bedroom and even with the noise of television, one could hear the squeaking a of woman with pleasure.

"…is great. We should expect extreme wave of cold in January next year…" News continued. After a while loud scream and grunting of the man could be heard in the lounge.

Few minutes later, an incredibly beautiful and tall woman with blonde hair and blue eyes entered the room. She was wearing white see through shirt. The shirt was barely hiding her bottom. There was a tattoo on the front of her right leg. The tattoo said, "I Love You" in red; a long stem rose was painted for an "I". She approached the wine table and poured some red wine in a glass. She sat in front of television, picked up remote and started switching channels while sipping wine from the glass.

"Hey." A black man called her. He was peeping through the door. She turned around, smiled romantically, and signaled him to come closer with her hand.

"I have got a call. Can you please order some food? I am hungry. I will be there in a minute." He returned her smile. She nodded and he went back inside the room.

He pressed a button on his earphone.

"Yes. Johnson here." He said in cold secretive tone. Johnson stood naked in the room. He was tall and incredibly handsome with muscular body tone and classic African features.

He heard the other side for a few seconds.

"Do NOT call me again. I know my job well. Don't worry." He was a bit loud and annoyed. He pressed the button on his earphone to disconnect the call and moved towards the bathroom door.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Some people sat behind the table on stage. Amanda, CEO's Secretary continued explaining the rules. She was a lovely woman with long black hair. She was wearing a very short backless dress in this cold weather. Even though the hall was not cold at all, she looked out of ordinary just like Lisa.

"Please ask concise and to the point questions." She paused.

Lisa was still in the zone. She could not believe that a man from such humble beginnings could achieve that much. She had always believed that in this world nobody gets to have everything: some lack wealth and some yearn for health; some are inherently intelligent and some are genetically, breathtakingly beautiful; some are social and people friendly and some are focused and pure geniuses in what they do. In short, no one gets a glass full. She believed so until she knew this man.

"Questioning will start from right side of the stage." Amanda pointed at one journalist.

"He was born in 2010. Her mother was native American, a model while his father, a scientist, immigrated from Pakistan about a decade ago. Both of his parents died when he was only 5 years old. He was then taken by Child Protective Services and spent all his childhood in an orphanage. He was touted as genius from his youngest years. Later, he became the man with the highest IQ ever." Lisa exhaled.

"Everyone will be allowed only one question until their turn again. Your mic will be turned on only at your turn. This is press conference, so please avoid cross questions. Anyone who asked irrelevant question twice, will be banned for further questioning" Amanda continued.
