Beginning after the end

Lisa parked her car in the parking lot of her office building; She was in a hurry. She went straight to the elevator shaft and pressed the call button. It was a regular workday, so elevators were busy. She waited impatiently for the elevator to arrive. A few more people had arrived until the elevator reached basement.


The door opened and she rushed in; she could not even wait for the passengers to get off. Everyone was staring at her with despise; she did not even care. The elevator took off with its passengers. It stopped on every other floor to load or unload passengers. Lisa had been checking her wristwatch and the floor display throughout her journey.


The elevator stopped on 30th floor and the computer announcement echoed in the cubicle.


"Finally." She murmured and got ready to get off.
