Beginning after the end

Vikrant was sitting in living room of his parents' house in Chennai city. It was 12 in the noon, but the living room was dark and gloomy, a bit due to insufficient light and a bit due to overall mood. The living room was a complete mess, it looked like it wasn't cleaned in a long time. The decorative pieces, color combinations and arrangement of the furniture in the living room indicated that its residents were not very wealthy but had good taste and aesthetic sense.


A 4-piece sofa set with a glass top table was lying in the middle of living room. Table was placed on a beautiful red nylon rug that covered the tiled floor and perfectly fitting the floorspace between sofa seats. The empty bottles of assorted alcohols were scattered on and off the table. The rug seemed to have been wine-stained recently.
