Beginning after the end

He was breathing heavily; it was becoming more and more difficult for him to bear the pain.


"Creating Vacuum in T minus 5 seconds." A mechanical voice echoed in the room. A loud noise of generators running, and air being sucked out could be heard in the room; it was rather annoying and distasteful.


Dr. Madison's vision was getting blurry; He was trying to shake dizziness off, but it was not proving to be very effective.


"Dr. Breakwell, I will now start engine of MME-1." Brendon announced.


"Go ahead." Dr. Breakwell said with a shaky voice. His heart was pounding hard. All of them were in the same condition except for Dr. Madison who was about to go out of commission.


The engine of the Demo ship turned on with a loud noise and then it started flying with right balance. The ship flew ahead, rolled around, up and nose down; whoever was controlling the plane was a pro at it.
