Aftermath of USJ

As they walked towards the exit, Mika tumbled a bit. Mashirao turned to Mika, "Are you alright?" he asked. Mika nodded, "I'll be fine." she said; Mashirao got worried, "If you don't feel like walking, I can carry you." he said.

Mika shook her head, "It's okay, Ojiro." she said, "Let's just get to the others." Mashirao nodded and held the door for Mika. As Mika got out of the building, her eyes widened and tears fell down her face.

Mashirao looked at Mika, "Are you alri-" as he looked at what she was looking at, he became terrified, "Oh my God." They looked at the center and saw Mr. Aizawa with broken limbs and blood on his face, being held by the villain's creature, and a man covered in hands laughing.

Mika dropped to her knees and covered her mouth, "This can't be happening." she said lowly. Mashirao looked at Mika and covered the scene with his tail, "We need to keep moving." he said as he placed his hand on her shoulder.

Mika looked at Mashirao, "I know you want to help him, but we need to go or we'll be in the same predicament." he said. Mika slowly nodded as she got up, "Okay..." she said lowly as they sneaked away from the scene.

Mika sprouted wings on her back; she grabbed Mashirao by the waist. Mika flew over the flood zone, and hid themselves behind the slide before they got to the other end.

As Mika placed Mashirao on the ground and deactivated her wings, they looked at the staircase and saw an angry All Might. Mashirao sighed in relief, "All Might is here." he said; he turned to Mika, "We need to get to the staircase." he continued.

Mika walked forward, not even looking at Mashirao; he got worried, but followed her. As they reached the stairs, they helped the others as much as they could.

Some of them looked at All Might facing the villain's creature; there were many punches between him and the creature, but All Might launched it out of USJ. As the other teachers got here, the villains disappeared, and the nightmare was over.

As they got out of USJ, most of them were worried about Mr. Aizawa and the others. Mika stayed quiet and ignored what they said. "Mika!" Mika turned her head and saw Saburo in a police uniform running towards her; she looked at him, "Dad..." she said lowly.

Saburo pulled Mika into a hug, "Are you okay?" he asked; tears started falling down her face. Mika hugged Saburo tightly and they got on their knees, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." she said lowly.

Saburo tried to calm Mika down, "It's okay, sweetheart... Daddy's got you..." he said. The detective looked at Saburo and walked towards them, "Is she related to you, Commissioner Lyoko?" he asked.

Saburo turned to the detective, "She's my daughter, Detective Naomasa." he said. Naomasa nodded and looked at Mika, "I could've stopped it..." she said lowly, "I could've helped Aizawa-sensei, but I didn't... I'm such a coward..."

Naomasa patted Mika's head, making her look at him, "You're not a coward." he said, "What you did was the right thing." Mika looked away, "I could've prevented Aizawa-sensei's long-term vision loss." she said.

Naomasa frowned a bit, "True, but what would happen if you intervened." he said, "It would mean that you could've died." Mika looked down, "And you have a loving family." Naomasa continued, "Do you want to leave them?"

Mika shook her head, "It's why I joined this school in the first place." she said lowly, "I want to be just like them." Naomasa smiled and patted Mika's head, "And the reason you fought against those villains in the fire zone was for them, right?" he asked.

Mika nodded, "So, don't blame yourself for what you could've done." Naomasa said, "The actions you did were the right thing." Mika slowly nodded; Naomasa looked at Saburo, "Commissioner Lyoko, please escort the students with Sansa." he said.

Saburo nodded, "Yes sir." he said as they separated and stood up. Saburo and turned to them, "Students of U.A. High, please follow us." he said; they nodded as they headed to U.A.

(Time Skip)

Everything was dark in Mika's eyes; she was shaking, "Hello..." she said lowly, "Daddy... everyone... where are you?" A light shined behind Mika, making her turn to it; she sprinted towards it, *Please be okay...* she thought.

As Mika got out of the darkness, she saw her classmates laying on the ground, "Oh no." she said; she turned to Koji, "Koda!" she shouted. Mika sprinted towards Koji and got on her knees; she grabbed his hand and tried to feel his pulse.

Mika's face went very pale when she felt no pulse, "No... No!" she shouted. Mika stood up and backed away from Koji, "He's... dead." she said. Mika looked at all of her classmates with tears falling down her face.

Mika covered her mouth and dropped to her knees, "They're all dead... No..." she said. Mika closed her eyes, "It's all my fault! I couldn't do anything!" she shouted.

As Mika opened her eyes, she saw the villain's creature holding a dead Mr. Aizawa in his hands; it dropped his corpse in front of her. The creature made a terrifying scream, making Mika cover her ears and close her eyes.

As Mika uncovered her ears and opened her eyes, she saw the man covered with hands, "Oh... another survivor." he said with a devious grin, "Don't worry... you're next." As he raised his hand, the creature placed its foot on Mika's legs; she screamed in pain as the creature broke her legs.

Mika fell on her side; she couldn't crawl away, fear and guilt immobilized her. The last thing Mika could hear was the man's laughter as his hand touched her face and started decaying.

Mika woke up with shaky breaths and tear stains on her cheeks. Mika looked around and noticed her desk, her closet filled with her clothes, and her makeshift dresser.

Mika sighed in relief when she realized she was in her room, *It was just a nightmare.* she thought, *Probably the worst nightmare I had in my life.*

Mika looked at her phone and saw that it was Saturday. Mika panicked when she saw the time, *How the hell am I supposed to get ready and go to school in one hour!?* she thought. Mika got out of bed and grabbed her shirt and skirt.

As Mika opened her door, Yuma was in front of her; she got worried, "*Are you alright, dear?*" she signed. Mika nodded, "Y-Yeah, I'm fine." she said, "How come you didn't wake me up, mom?"

Saburo stood behind Yuma, "U.A. cancelled classes today, Mika." he said. Mika looked at Saburo, "Really? How come?" she asked. Saburo nodded, "The principal wants to improve on the school's security." he said, "You don't have to worry about going to school today."

Mika sighed in relief, "I'll let you change into something more comfortable and clean up for breakfast." Saburo continued; she nodded and closed the door behind her. Mika placed her clothes on her bed and started getting undressed, *I hope I can get through this day.* she thought.

(Small Time Skip)

They were eating breakfast at the table and watched the news. Mika saw the principal talking about upgrading their security; the principal is a small, mouse-like creature with a scar over his right eye.

Mika looked at the principal, *To be honest, I expected the principal would be a big, tough guy like All Might.* she thought as she ate her food, *I never expected him to be a small mouse-like creature; I bet he's smart.*

Saburo turned the TV off and turned to Mika, "There's something we need to talk about, Mika." he said. Mika looked at Saburo, "Is it about USJ?" she sadly asked. Saburo nodded as he got his notepad and pencil out, "I need you to explain to me what you saw at USJ." he said.

Mika looked at her food, "We were trying to leave the building, but there was a dark figure that transported most of us to different locations." she said, "They transported me to the Fire Zone along with Ojiro. We tried to find a way out of the building, but villains surrounded us."

Saburo nodded as he wrote the information down on his notepad, "What did you do when you were surrounded?" he asked. Mika clenched her fists, "We fought back to stay alive." she said, "I used my Quirk to defend myself."

Mika looked down, "When I tried to help Ojiro, I got caught by a villain." she continued. Mika placed her hand over her neck, "He... held me at my throat." she said lowly.

Saburo was furious, but he continued writing, "What happened after that?" he asked. Tears pricked Mika's eyes, "I had flashbacks of my past, almost like I was near death." she said, "I was lucky that I could transform into a Phoenix, making the villain let go of my neck."

Mika looked at her hand, "I helped Ojiro get away from the villain holding him and created a fire barrier to protect him." she continued, "After that, I knocked the villains out and healed Ojiro's tail."

Mika grabbed a bit of her hair, "I thought the nightmare was over... but I was wrong." she said. Saburo nodded and looked at Mika, "What did you see?" he asked; tears fell down her face when she remembered.

Yuma got worried and turned to Saburo, "*I think you're going too far, darling.*" she signed. Mika shook her head, "It's okay..." she said lowly, making them turn to her.

Mika looked at them, "What I saw... was my teacher on the ground and the villain's creature... holding his arm... and broke it like a twig." she said, "It slammed his face on the concrete."

Mika placed her hand over her face, "And the villain covered with hands... just laughed when he saw Sensei in pain." she continued. Mika uncovered her face and looked down, "If I were to take a guess... he's the leader of this League of Villains." she said.

Saburo finished writing his notes on his notepad and placed it on the table; he got up and walked towards Mika. Saburo slowly stroked Mika's back, "It's okay, sweetheart." he said, "I'm sorry that I asked those questions, but they were necessary for the investigation."

Mika nodded, "I know..." she said, "I just want the memories out of my head." Saburo nodded as he returned to his seat.

When they finished eating breakfast, Mika went into the bathroom; she washed her face and brushed her teeth. Mika brushed her hair and put it in a ponytail; she grabbed her phone and wallet.

Mika slipped her sneakers on and tied her shoelaces; she did some stretches before she went outside. Mika was about to leave, but Yuma stopped her, "*Are you going out?*" she signed.

Mika turned to Yuma and nodded, "I was thinking about going to the library to see if I can find any information about mythical creatures or something like that." she said, "I'm not sure how long I'll be out."

Yuma nodded and walked towards Mika, "*Okay dear, be safe.*" she signed as she kissed her forehead. Mika smiled a bit and nodded, "I will." she said as she left the apartment.
