Cavalry Battle

All of Class 1-A got into the top forty-two; Mika was happy for them, "The top forty-two will move on to the next round!" Midnight shouted, getting their attention, "Those who were placed lower, don't worry! We have another way for you all to show your stuff."

Mika was excited, "It's time for the second event!" Midnight said. Midnight pointed to the screen, "The next event is this!" she shouted.

The screen showed 'Cavalry Battle' on it; Mika tilted her head, "A cavalry battle, huh?" she said. "Participants will form teams of two to four and get into a horse and rider formation." Midnight said.

Another screen showed All Might and the other teachers lifting him up, "The rules are the same of a normal cavalry battle but with the use of Quirks." Midnight continued, "You take the opponents headbands while guarding your own with one exception."

Mika had her hand on her chin, "We're probably ranked depending on how well we did on the first event, and the point value of the teams depends on its members." she said. Rikido nodded, "We'll earn points like the entrance exam... sounds simple enough." he said.

Midnight looked at them and made a whipping noise with her whip, startling them, "I was about to explain that! Pipe down!" she shouted.

Midnight calmed down and looked at them, "Yes! Your individual points depend on what place you were in during the first event and start at five." she said, "For example, forty-second place is worth five points, forty-first is worth ten points, and so forth."

Midnight pointed at Izuku with her whip, making the others look at him, "However, our first place participant is worth... ten million points!" she said.

That sentence terrified Izuku, "Those who are worth a lot of points are the ones to aim for." Midnight continued, "This survival game is a chance for a comeback. This is anyone's game!"

Mika looked at the nervous Izuku, A chance to get to the top, huh? she thought, Sorry Midoriya, but I'm coming for you. They scared Izuku when he saw all of his classmates glare at him like prey.

(Time Skip)

After Midnight explained everything, they were given fifteen minutes to pick their partners. Mika had her hand on her chin, Since I was in tenth place, I'd be worth 165 points. she thought, I'm not sure who I should partner up with.

"Hey Mika." Mika got out of her thoughts and turned her head; she saw Kyoka walking towards her. Mika waved to Kyoka, "Hey Kyoka." she said, "Need something?" Kyoka nodded, "I was thinking... you and I should team up." she said.

Mika looked at Kyoka a bit surprised, "You sure you want to partner up with me? I'm worth 165 points." she said. Kyoka nodded, "I know, but I think you and I could help each other out since we know each other's abilities." she said.

Mika smiled, "Alright, I'm fine with it." she said; Kyoka had a slight smile, "Nice." she said. "Hey Lyoko! Hey Jiro!" Mika and Kyoka turned around and saw Koji and Rikido walking towards them, "Hey you two, what's up?" Kyoka asked.

Rikido smiled, "I was wondering if you two want to team up with us." he said; Koji nodded in agreement. Kyoka smiled and nodded, "Sure, I'm down with that." she said; Mika nodded, "Same here." she said.

Rikido smiled, "Sweet! All we need to do now is figure out who'll be the rider and who'll be the horses." he said. As they were discussing stuff, Mika looked at the other competitors.

Mika noticed Izuku walking towards Fumikage, If Midoriya has Tokoyami on his team, it'll be difficult to get near him because of Dark Shadow. she thought, However... I can use my Quirk too.

Mika was determined as she removed her gym jacket and placed it on the ground. As Mika grabbed the bottom of her tank top and pulled it up a bit, the others noticed her actions.

Koji and Rikido quickly turned away from Mika. Kyoka panicked and waved her arms, "Wha-What are you doing, Mika!" she shouted.

Mika tied the lower part of her tank top into a tight knot, leaving her stomach exposed. Mika picked her jacket up, dusted it off, and wrapped it around her waist; she turned to them, "I have a plan." she said.

Koji and Rikido turned to Mika and calmed down; they looked at her, "What's the plan?" Rikido asked. Mika smiled and whispered her plan to them.

(Time Skip)

After fifteen minutes were up, Mika wrapped a headband with 530 on it on her head. Mika sat on Koji's left arm and Rikido's right arm, and Kyoka held her feet. Four octopus tentacles came out of Mika's sides, "You guys ready?" she asked.

They nodded, "Our main goals... are to get Midoriya's headband and be one of the top four groups to make it into the tournament." Mika said with determination.

"Everyone ready?" Midnight asked. The crowd shouted in excitement, "Let the countdown of this brutal battle begin!" Midnight shouted, "3... 2... 1..." Midnight waved her hand down, "Go!" she shouted; Mika's group sprinted towards Izuku's group.

They saw Izuku panic when his group was sinking to the ground, "No hard feelings Midoriya, but we're coming for you!" Mika shouted. As Mika's group got close to Izuku's group, a few flames came out of Izuku's back and they started flying.

Mika looked behind Izuku and saw him wearing a jet pack on his back, "Kyoka!" she shouted; Kyoka nodded, "I'm with you, Mika." she said. Mika used one of her tentacles and Kyoka used her earphone jacks; as they got close to Izuku's group, Dark Shadow stopped them.

Mika got a little irritated, "Damn..." she said as she retracted her tentacle back. Mika turned her head and saw a blonde boy with blue eyes next to her, "I hope you don't mind." he whispered with a smile as he took her headband.

Mika had a big grin, "Then I hope you don't mind if I take the one around your head too." she said. One of Mika's tentacles grabbed one end of his headband and pulled it off his head, shocking him.

As Mika grabbed the headband off her tentacle, he got angry, but his group ran away, "Hey Lyoko, our headband!" Rikido shouted.

Mika shook her head, "It's fine... I got his." she said as she wrapped the headband around her neck, "Our goal is unchanged." They nodded as they continued running.

(Small Time Skip)

Mika looked around for Izuku's group and tried to take points from other teams. As Mika was looking around, she noticed Mezo with his dupli-arms up charging towards Izuku's group.

Mika's eyes turned dark green with yellow x's in the center. As Mika looked at Mezo, she saw Tsuyu and Minoru under his dupli-arms, "What do you see?" Kyoka asked.

Mika closed her eyes, "A sneaky pervert and Tsu under Shoji's dupli-arms." she said. As Mika opened her eyes, she noticed Mezo's dupli-arms with eyes had a time point where they look away from the tiny hole.

When they looked away, Mika quickly shot a tentacle and got Minoru's band without touching the balls on his head. Mika quickly pulled the headband out of the small area before the eyeballs looked back at the hole.

Mika grinned as she wrapped the headband around her neck, "Got you." she said. Mika looked at the screen and saw her group in fifth place, "We're doing good so far." she said, "Let's keep it up!"

Kyoka turned to Mika, "Midoriya is up ahead." she said as she pointed the direction with her earphone jacks. Mika looked forward and nodded, "After them!" she shouted.

As Mika's group charged towards Izuku's group, Mika looked at her right side and saw Shoto's group being covered by a blanket except for Denki. Mika's eyes widened, "Shit. Wait-" Denki used his Quirk, electrocuting her group and some other groups around Shoto and Izuku.

As Mika's group froze after the shock, Mika noticed the boy with indigo hair in front of her, "Thank you." he said as he took the headbands around her neck.

His group walked away, but Koji bumped into Mashirao, causing something to happen as he shook his head and look around when he ran off with them.

Mika shook her head, "Damn it!" she shouted; Kyoka turned to her, "What's wrong?" she asked. Mika gritted her teeth, "That guy with indigo hair took our headbands." she said.

Mika turned to Izuku's group, "We got to-" Shoto's group got to his group fast and got Izuku's headband. Mika's eyes widened, "Go after Todoroki." she said.

As Mika's group ran towards Shoto's group, he and sent his ice towards them. However, Mika used her fire breath on the ice, melting it quickly, "Nice try Todoroki, but that won't work on me." she said.

Mika used her tentacles to get to Shoto's group, but Momo was quick enough to make shields. Their feud was ongoing until Mika saw Izuku's group.

Shoto was about to use his fire, but Izuku swatted his arm away with his hand with his Quirk, making the fire go away. Izuku used his other hand to grab a headband, shocking Mika's group.

Mika noticed the headband Izuku got had a seventy on it, "He switched the headbands to confuse us!" she shouted as she continued going after Shoto's group.

Izuku froze a bit at Mika's words; he turned the band and saw that she was right. As Mika's group went after Shoto's group, Izuku's group went after them.

As Mika was about to get close, the horns went off, "Time's Up!" Present Mic shouted. Mika looked down and got angry, "Damn it... I didn't get it on time…" she said lowly.

Mika looked at the screen and saw her group in seventh place. Mika's tentacles disappeared, and she looked at the ground, "I'm sorry, guys... I failed you..." she said.

Kyoka turned to Mika, "It's alright, Mika; we did our best." she said, making the boys nod in agreement. Mika looked at them for a bit; she looked away with a wry smile, "Thanks." she said lowly.
