chapter 8 : did she do it?
( Jake arrives at Jessica's house )
jake: she couldn't have done it I know Monty hurt her but she won't kill him
( jake rang the doorbell Jessica mom opened the door )
Miss Henderson : oh hello Jake
Jake: hi miss h is Jessica here
miss Henderson: yes she's in her room
jake: ok
Miss Henderson : Jessica jake is here
jessica: ok coming
jake: hey Jess
jessica: hey Jake what's up
Jake: hey I need to ask you something Is there somewhere we chat privately
jessica: oh ok sure
( they went out to Jessica backyard and sat down on the patio )
jessica: what did you want to talk about
Jake: it's about Monty
jessica: oh...
jake: did you talk to him before he you know
jessica: I ran into him before the football game
jake: did he ask you something
jessica: he Said to meet him at the docs after the game he need to give me something
jake: oh what was it
jessica: why do you want to know ?
jake : I'm just curious
jessica : you don't think I murdered Monty do you
jake: no I would never think that
jessica: you sure ?
jake: yes I promise
jessica: ok I believe you
jake: ok
jessica: why did you need to know that btw
jake: toni was there and she saw you there
jessica: oh I see toni thinks I killed Monty typical
jake: what no that's not what I meant
jessica: no it's fine I knew she never trusted me
jake: that's not true at all
jessica: oh really so she didn't tell you to come over and accuse me of murdering Monty
jake: no of course not
jessica: that's fine take her side ( she said as tears started to stream down her face ) like you always do
jake: hey what's wrong ( he said with a concern look on his face ) .
jessica: it's just that I always feel like a third weel around you guys and that she never trusted me
jake: that's not true toni trust you it's just that she has trust issues you see her last boyfriend cheated on her with his girl best friend that's why she's a little hesitant to trust people
jessica: oh I'm sorry I didn't know crap now I feel terrible
jake : hey it's ok she knows she can trust you
jessica: oh I see I'm glad she trust me
jake: ok we cool?
jessica : always ( see replied with a smile )
jake : ok hey you didn't see amber there did you
jessica : only when I arrived she was getting into her car why
jake: toni said she had a gun with her
jessica: oh shit you don't think she ?
jake: I'm not sure but I know she wouldn't she's got a good heart
jessica: ok I hope your right about that
jake: ok I'm gonna go check up on her
jessica: ok good luck
(jake exit's her house as Jessica has a flash back to a couple of hours after going to the docks )
jessica: alright Monty I'm here what do you want to —
( she stopped and looked around but she couldn't find monty )
jessica monty where are you
( after a couple of hours jessica gave up and left )
jessica: uh I knew he wouldn't show up why did I even bother to come here
( she got up and left to her car )
Monty : jessica wait
jessica : finally now what did you want to give me
Monty: this (hands her a tape )
jessica: what is this your mix tape
Monty: no it is an apology I knew you wouldn't here me out so I recorded what I wanted to say please listen to it.
jessica : I'll think about it
Monty: ok bye jessica
jessica : bye monty
( jessica gets in her car and leaves monty walks away but is stopped by an unknown person )
unknown : hello monty
Monty : what the hell are you doing here
( flash back ends )
jessica takes the tape out of her dresser drawer and tears started to drop from her face
jessica : you didn't deserve to die like this at least not until I could say I forgive you .
