Perfect Recollection
"WHAAAT??" a scream was suddendly heard coming out of Adam's hut.
It had comed as somewhat of a shock for Adam that these small creatures he considered savages had idetic memories, the dream skill for any modern academic on earth.
He concluded that if it was not for their other shortcomings, they would conquer this land rather quickly.
Yorky had a scared look on his face. This human had helped him improve his status on the tribe and he meant to use him to better the tribe as a whole intl the future. It would not do if it suddendly went mad.
"What wrong human? You hurt?" asked the small creature.
Adam took a minute to calm himself. This explained a lot. At first he thought the Tenga were surviving only on instinct and luck, but adding this skill to the mix and Tengu's now became a force to be reckoned with.
He suddendly had a vision of a giant library and a dedicated team of small savages as keepers, always knowing the location and state of every book. He suppressed this thought and told himself the Tengu's where not smart enough for this task. Well, not yet at least.
[Stop reading my thoughts] answered Adam. [I plan on search for one to power up anyway].
He took a good look of all the drawings around him, trying to make sense of the kind of monsters he was seeing.
[Catalog all the different beasts here. We need to create individual profiles for each type. I want to start looking for commonalities or similar characteristics. We may deduce things of the environment from the creatures] he ordered.
[Just name them according to their main characteristics. We can review later if we find similar creatures if they are the same or a related species. And I am thinking of evolution, so they must have adapted to their environment, not the other way around].
[Right. On earth we noticed that as the animals who fit the environment best thrived over others, this created a process of systemic mutation which ended with animals adapting to their environment to perfection in some cases. Some people even mistook it for intelligent design].
There was a pause for a moment. Adam was still trying to memorize the drawings on the walls.
[You got all this?] asked Adam.
"Ok team. Great game. Please everyone return to work. Yorky please clean up all the drawings this time. Also, let them know they can use this wall to play whenever they want, as long as they never repeat the same moment. I will take care of having it clean when I need new images. Got it?" instructed Adam while pointing at a wall next to the entrance.
The small creature looked at Adam, shrugged his ears and directed a couple of growls to the others, which stopped their drawings and went back to their tasks.
All three of them where covered in soot from their toes to the points of their ears. Adam noticed they were leaving a trail of footprints on the floor.
"And have them take a bath before coming in tomorrow" he added.
"WHATTTTT?" A new scream could be heard coming from the hut.
