Chapter 2

Lauren runs with her sister, silently through the crowd, never turning back. She cries quietly when she finally found the first door she could find. It was a bright blue door, with a label that said social services. Unluckily for them, they couldn't read the label, so they had no idea of what they were getting themselves into. When the door opened a lady with black hair and a blue pantsuit, with a clipboard smiled kindly at them, more like an evil grin. She welcomed them into her small office and gave them pancakes and milk, but what Lauren didn't know, was she also put sleeping tablets in the milk. So, the last thing Lauren remembered, was giving her sister the name, Armani.

The kids woke up the next day in separate orphanages. Lauren was a tough kid, she made it her life's mission to find her mom, so she became quite a handful. She was rude, violent and dangerous to every family who welcomed her into their homes. Until she met her match, she was a single parent, she was very strict, her face had wrinkles, she had a crooked smile, a wart on her chin and her hair was up in a high ponytail. Every time Lauren tried something she would be beaten or locked up in the shed at the back of the women's yard. So, after 6 weeks of trying to be bad or escape, she finally had to give in.

Meanwhile, baby Armani was approached by the CIA, in her orphanage. They took her back to headquarters, where they decided to raise her because little did Armani and Lauren know, is that their parents were CIA agents, who went on a mission, that went wrong, completely and utterly wrong. Armani was trained to know the difference between a weapon and a utensil, she was surely a grabber but, aren't all babies?

They discovered the baby was a young prodigy with death, you heard it right, she can easily escape death, she has had many near-death experiences. For example, one time they were on holiday, near a warm beach, where you could look into the horizon, so they went to relax and there was a small but tall cliff, Armani was at the top with 2 agents, who were sitting down talking, they didn't realise, Armani climbed out of her cot and was crawling to edge of the cliff. She got closer and closer to the cliff to chase the butterfly, she was at the edge but then she stopped, instead she looked for a safer way down and continued to chase the butterfly. When they saw her on the sand, they were shocked and scared. There was another time, Armani almost escaped death, just last week she wandered onto the road at five years old, and cars were coming at full speed, so she laid down straight on the ground and when the car drove past, the wheels weren't near her. They weren't sure how she was doing it. So, they took her to one of their best scientists, Mr Rogers. They strapped her down and locked her in a room, to do a couple of experiments. They played a few games with her, and did a few X-rays until they discovered, she has special abilities, powers that no one else has. She's bulletproof, she has agility and strength! She was also super smart. They decided not to tell her, for the sake of the world, but what they didn't know, was what was coming next.

Another five years had passed, so Armani was 10 and Lauren was 15. Lauren was attending school, the school for troubled kids, except what her foster parent didn't know was she snuck out a lot during school to find her parents and sister. She never once lost hope, and Armani didn't either after she discovered what happened to her family and why she is in a secret agency. One very faithful day, Armani was walking to the shops because she located her parent's exact location, so she wandered in, to buy some Oreos and Kit Kat because she was peckish. When she got to the aisle to pay, she saw them talking by the exit. She was absolutely delighted to meet them after years or even to just study their faces like she was a newborn baby again. She wanted to run or even sprint to them, but she knew they wouldn't recognise her. In the corner of her eyes, she saw two dishonest guys approaching them, all four of them left the store, and she decided to follow them. The Dishonest guys lead them to an alleyway. Armani wondered why her parents were following them. She hid in the corner, just as more men started to come from every area of the alleyway, one man grabbed her, she tried to get free, but he bent her arm back, far back that she broke it, she screamed and her parents saw her. They cried when they saw her because they knew this was a fight, they couldn't escape this time. The men brought out their guns and started shooting, they shot Armani's parents dead, and then they shot Armani. She closed her eyes waiting for the impact of the bullet, one tear rolled down her cheeks. She didn't feel a thing though, so she opened her eyes and saw all the men, but one was on the floor dead. She thought the man that escaped and shot them was to protect her, but she still wanted him dead. She ran to her parents, and heard sirens, she hugged them, one last time, even though she was in a hell lot of pain due to her arm and she whispered, "I'm so sorry guys, I love you and wish you were with me, but they took you away. They will pay. I Armani, will not stop till every drug-lord killer or you know what, all drug lords are dead, I'm going to find Lauren very soon."

Armani snuck out of the alleyway, and back home to headquarters. Her clothes were covered in blood. So, she took it off and washed it in the sink. She was in pain from her arm, so she knew she had to go to headquarters hospital, she just didn't know what excuse she was going to use. When she got there and told them about her arm, to her surprise, the doctors didn't ask her anything, they just told her, that her arm is broken, and she was going to need a cast.
