Billowing winds.
The murmuring of ocean waves.
A soft, melodious humming that permeated through the empty expanse of darkness.
And yet, when the sensations began registering, Zack awoke to find that he wasn't in an empty expanse of darkness.
His eyes were just closed.
"What the hell. . ."
Zack stood up, hearing the sound of water droplets fall in the process.
He was standing atop a glittering sea of clear liquid. And there was no bottom to the sea he looked down into.
"The Mental Sea. . . ?"
The sky above was covered in stars, some forming runic constellations, while others remained a chaotic mass. Still others, moving about the sky in seemingly random directions.
"That's new, I thought the sky could only appear as a blank void. . ."
He looked around, but the marble pedestal was nowhere to be seen.
"Why am I even here. . . Did I fall asleep while playing again?"
