Drunk

The girls were all messed up but Penelope was the only one remaining awake. She looked at the two girls beside her and slightly chuckled. She shouldn't have brought them to this place, especially Lanie, well, maybe bringing here was quite a nice idea. She smirked when she saw a man enter the bar. 'Oh, he was in a meeting?' Penelope thought. Based on his attire, grey slacks, white button up, white long sleeves that were folded until his elbow and black shoes, yes, he was in a meeting… but still chose to go here. Mr. Tyler Lancaster is really something, huh?.

"She drank too much?" He asked as soon as he arrived at their spot.

"Not that much. She just has a low alcohol tolerance." she answered. Tyler sighed and looked at Lanie who was now totally knocked-out.

Penelope entered her car together with Althea and the driver that Tyler bought. Penelope looked at Tyler's car when she saw Tyler carefully put Lanie on the front seat. She giggled and said, "Looks like someone's going to be in deep shit, huh?"

Tyler sighed and looked at the girl beside him. He shook his head before starting his engine. He parked his car in front of Lanie's apartment.

"Lanie…" He said softly as he slightly tapped her shoulder. Lanie moaned a bit.

"Hey, wake up. We are already here. Where is your apartment's key?" Tyler tapped her shoulder again but she is already in deep sleep. Tyler sighed again, he is now annoyed.

He just started his engine and drove again. He had no choice but to bring this girl into her house. Tyler parked his car in the underground parking lot in his condo. He looked again at Lanie and sighed. He unfasten his seatbelt and went out to open the door in Lanie's seat.

"Lanie…" he softly called while touching her cheek gently. He stared at her reddish, peaceful face. A loop smile appeared on his lips.

"Kitten," He suddenly whispered and chuckled before unfastening her seatbelt and carried her. Some of the employees of the building almost broke their necks by looking at him. Who wouldn't? Him, entering the building while carrying a girl? That's new. That is not very Tyler Lancaster that the employees of that building knew. They never saw a girl with Tyler Lancaster in his condo, well, Lanie was the first one. And knowing this, for sure the news will spread like a wildfire. But Tyler does not care about them and what gossip will people conclude upon seeing them. He just ignored them and entered the elevator.

"Can you please press my floor number?" He asked one of the employees who also entered the elevator. The employee stared at them for a second and quickly pressed Tyler Lancaster's floor number.

When he entered his condo unit, he carefully placed Lanie on his bed. Lanie immediately compressed herself on the bed and her head on his pillows.

Tyler shook his head, "A baby kitten." He went to his bathroom to check if he has some make-up remover. He also got a small towel and a basin of water.

He put the basin of water and a clean small towel on the table beside his bed before sitting beside Lanie. He moved some hair that covered her face and tucked it behind her ears. Lanie moved closer to him, so close that her face was now in his thigh. He tucked some hair of hers again behind her ear. He just watched her for minutes before getting the make-up remover he found at the second room of her condo unit. He gently wiped her forehead, down to her pointed nose, cheeks and down to her chin while staring at Lanie who was still sleeping like a little kitten. When he was about to wipe her face once again, Lanie suddenly opened her eyes slowly and directly stared at him. Tyler was stunned. He did not move. He just stared at her, too. He slightly tilted his head as he observed Lanie. Is she still asleep… or not? She isn't moving, she was just staring back at him… with her sleepy and drunk eyes. When he was about to speak, Lanie slightly moved. She slightly moved her head to see Tyler clearly. She smiled at him. And again, Tyler was stunned by her actions yet he was amused especially when she started speaking with that bedroom voice… that sounded so sexy to him.

"Hmmm," she moaned, "This is amazing, I only saw you at the hotel and now, I am seeing you in my dreams. It's amazing." she said. Tyler smirked while looking at her. So, she thought this was a dream, huh? Let's see how you will react tomorrow when you wake up, little kitten.

Tyler's big hand moved to her head and he started combing her hair softly. A playful smile flashed on his lips when Lanie arose and moved closer to him. Tyler was leaning on the headboard of his bed but he slowly laid down when he got what Lanie wanted. Now, Lanie made Tyler's chest her pillow and she even hugged Tyler's waist, tightly.

So this little kitten is clingy when she gets drunk, huh?. He thought.

"Why are you here in my dreams?" she mumbled.

"Why? You don't want me to be in your dreams?" Tyler asked, letting himself ride to her oh-so-called-dream.

Lanie shocked her head. "It's not like that. I always think of you," Tyler raised his eyebrow after hearing that. This kitten… is really good at picking words, eh? "No, I am curious about you." she added.

"Why? What are you curious about?"

"Everything. I am curious about you… at everything. You are making me think so much." He did not answer what she said. He noticed that her hold on her shirt tightened.

"If what I am thinking was right… I don't think I can still face you." she said. Tyler stopped combing her hair when he saw her teary eyes when she looked up to see him.

Ah, the little kitten is now emotional.

She arose again and did the indian sit while facing Tyler, who was now looking at her seriously but there was something in his eyes this time… an emotion that only appeared after a long time. And that emotion felt like he wanted to wipe those tears in Lanie's eyes tonight.

"If… If you are that person… It means… I had to leave… because I can't bear to face you." she sobbed.

"Leave?" he asked. Lanie just nodded while sobbing.

"Why are you leaving and what do you mean you can't bear to see me, Little Kitten?" Lanie held his hand. He looked at that. Her hand looked so small with his… and also, it looked like her hand was perfectly made just for his hand.

"Because… because I did something unforgivable to you." She cried. Unforgivable? Is it about that tragedy?

"What is it? Tell me." Lanie cried harder.

"Tyler… I'm sorry. I'm really sorry." she said and threw herself to him to hug him tightly as she hid her face on his neck and cried harder.

Tyler was completely stunned. He held her lower back using her right arm. This little kitten…

"Lanie? Baby… hey." he softly said as he combed her hair again using his left hand.

Lanie didn't speak again and her breath became heavy. She fell asleep. When Tyler noticed that, he still did not move. He remained in that position, still combing her hair.

"Little Kitten… you are making me confused, too."
