"Why can't you just tell me?" Lanie said seriously. She tried to stand up to move away from Tyler. This time, Tyler let her. She seated beside Tyler while facing him. "It is easy if you just tell me who you really are, right?" she added. Tyler faced her also.

"Hmmm. Tell me one good reason why you want to know the real me?" He asked, looking directly at her eyes. Lanie tilted her head. Based on how Tyler was doing right now, it increased her curiosity about him and doubled her fear of what she will know more about him. She also wanted to ask Althea about him, but like what Althea said to her before, she was not in the position to tell Tyler's story. She also thought about asking Kieffer and Kathy because for sure, they will tell her about him, at least a little details about him. But she saw a chance to do it now, why ask others when she can ask Tyler alone, right? Nonetheless, he was being hard right now. Or maybe, he was just testing her or if he can trust her because he knew if Lanie discovered who he was, she would definitely leave or worse, she wouldn't be able to face him forever… because of that tragedy.

But why leave nor hide if both of them are just caught in between? Between getting justice for their loved ones and living the life they always wanted. That both of them, as well the others involved in this, are just victims of the tragic and chaotic events that were caused by those greedy people. Why keep living like that if they can live the life they wanted while getting the justice they seek?

"I just really want to know who you are. There is no reason, Tyler. I just want to know you better." she said. Tyler saw the glimpse of sadness and fear in her eyes. Why? Why can't she just tell him that she was doubting him? And she thinks that he is also Gerpacio.

Why? Why can't he just tell her who he is? Why is he hesitating?

"If I ask you the same question, will you answer me, too? Full of honesty, Lanie?" He seriously asked. She paused. Will she tell her?

"I am just Lanie Dyce Vergara. There is no something special about me. So why bother?" She slightly smiled at him. Tyler sighed. Both of them do not want to tell each other stories. There was something on them that kept on stopping them from telling who they really are. Because if they will finally know and understand each other's stories… they will just realize that meeting each other is an ill fated destiny. That they shouldn't have met in the first place. They shouldn't be.

"Then, I am just also Tyler Lancaster, the CEO of Pyeha Hotel and nothing more." he said before standing up, going to the kitchen to get them drinks. Lanie sighed as she followed Tyler with her gaze. If he does not want to tell her, she will wait until he finally decides to open up his life to her until then, she hopes that he also waits for her as well.

Tyler came back with the two cans of coke. "Stop that." he trailed. Lanie looked up on him with her clueless expression. "Stop what?" Tyler handed her the drink. "Don't think too much." he said as he sat beside her.

"About what you said earlier…" Lanie murmured while looking at the can on her hands. "What made you think that I will leave?" she looked at him. Tyler was just drinking her coke, not looking at her, but very attentive at what she was saying.

"Kieffer told me," he answered. Lanie nodded and smiled a little. She knew it. Kieffer was the only person who knew that she would leave soon.

"Why?" he asked. "Why are you leaving? Where will you go?" She sighed and put her drink on the table in front of her.

"Didn't you ask him why I am leaving? Also, I am not leaving now, maybe, soon? When it is time to leave." Tyler looked at Lanie. Even though he only saw her side face, he could see the sorrow painted on her face.

"He did not tell why, he just said that you have a plan on leaving."

"Well, let's say that I just came here because I have a mission to fulfill? Yeah, let's put it that way. When I finish that mission, it is time for me to leave. Isn't it always like that? When you have already fulfilled your mission, will you leave without a trace or even without saying goodbye?" Tyler became more serious now. He was right, she will leave after Gerpacio's case closes. It was all about that tragedy and not about the people she was with in this place.

"Then, should I help you on that mission?" he responded. He also wanted to end the case soon and make those people pay for what they have done. And again, even though he already has some of the evidence, Lanie was still the strongest among those evidences, because she was the witness.

"Why? I am almost done." she said. Yeah, she is almost done. Almost.

"Should I help you or… should I tell you who I am?" he slowly said. Whatever Lanie chooses, both of the options will still lead to him to get justice and… also, he will know Lanie more or Lanie will know him more.

"Choose, Kitten. I'll wait for your answer. For now, fix yourself, I'll drive you home."
