Stone

Tyler arrived at Dra. Kyline's clinic. The lady at the counter smiled at him like he was a regular patient in the clinic. He opened the door and he saw Dra. Kyline. She was standing near the window and watering her plants.

"She can use her power now. Well, two times now, accidentally." she said without looking at the man who just entered.

"What will I do now? I am not expecting that her stone will be activated that fast." Tyler said seriously.

"She's slowly freeing herself that's why. She is starting to let go of some emotions that are burdening her. And you know that the stone will start activating if the person with it decides to control, let go of negative emotions and start believing in themselves." He looked at Dra. Kyline when she sat down to her swivel chair. She smiled at him.

"I saw it. I saw it when she went here to get the envelope you gave me. An envelope that contains some evidence about the tragedy." She held her hands together. "I think you already know what she did after that because you always make sure that you know her actions. I saw her when she went home to her apartment after Christmas, that was the time she finally decided to fight for the truth and that was the time when her stone started to activate. I also saw that she will use her power accidentally, to the Lieutenant and to one of her friends." she explained.

"And you didn't even bother to tell me?" Dra. Kyline looked at him.

"If I say those to you, you will make a way to stop that. You might change the future by that, Tyler, you know that." He only sighed. Dra. Kyline held his hand that was on the table. Tyler let her. Dra. Kyline's eyes turned blue. After a few seconds she started to have bullets of cold sweats. She groaned and tilted her head. As soon as her eyes turned into black, the original color of her eyes, she breathed heavily and leaned on her chair.

"What did you see?" Tyler asked. Dra. Kyline shook her head.

"As usual, I still can't see anything on you." Tyler nodded.

"What will you do now? For sure she will ask some questions as soon as she wakes up."

"I am still thinking. She still doesn't know what power she has and what is happening to her. I doubt she will ask me about those things. I still need to monitor her. And the other thing that was bothering me was that Jake was in my hotel." Dra. Kyline looked at him, curiously.

"Jake? Her ex-boyfriend? Son of that damn Ondreaz?!" She said, quite furious.

"How did you know- wait, what else did you see from her?" Dra. Kyline innocently looked away. She sighed when she felt his cold stares.

"It's nothing. You probably know it already by the way. Them at that furniture shop." Tyler still didn't take away her stare from her. "That's all. Don't give me that look." she said. She glared at Tyler. "Okay! Okay! I also saw her… with a man."

Tyler's face changed. "Man? Who?"

"I don't know. His face was blurry. They were in an amusement park. She was smiling brightly at that man." she said.

"When is it? When will it happen?" He asked coldly. Thinking of that, he felt something in him, anger.

Dra. Kyline shrugged. "I don't know. I can only see what will happen in the future, Tyler, I can't see the time and date."

They became silent for a moment until Tyler's phone rang. Kieffer was calling. When he answered it, he turned to Dra. Kyline who nodded at him and signaled him to go.

"She woke up but uhm, I think you need to go here faster, Tyler." Kieffer said to the other line. Tyler asked what the problem was and went to his car and drove quickly.

"Uhm, when she woke up, she suddenly sat on the bed. Then, she is now looking at the widow without blinking… her tears keep flowing." He stepped on the accelerator more after Kieffer ended the call.

When Tyler entered the hotel, he saw Mark from afar looking at him seriously. He just got off the elevator together with Manuel, the janitor of the hotel. He can still feel Jake's energy, he just hopes that Jake didn't feel Lanie's energy earlier because he still didn't know what Jake motives are why he is here at his hotel. For now, he needed to check Lanie.

He immediately entered his office. Kieffer was waiting for him outside the door of his room. Kieffer was biting his nail while tapping his foot on the floor, he looked like he didn't know what to do. He looked at Tyler worriedly and opened the door for him. When Tyler went into the room he saw Lanie staring at the window looking exhausted, miserable and distressed while her tears were flowing nonstop.

Kieffer tapped Tyler's shoulder. "I'll leave you two now. Calm her first, bro. I think she's still shocked from what… she saw when she touched Mark." he said and left the room.

Tyler went to Lanie and squatted in front of her. He fixed the strands of her hairs that glued on her face because of her tears. He stared at her devastated face, he tilted his head, trying to read her mind. He sighed, giving up, when he couldn't read her clearly because her mind was in chaos right now.

"Lanie," he said softly. Lanie didn't even move and looked at him. He held her hands using his left hand while he used his right hand to wipe the tears on her cheeks.

"Baby, why are you crying, hmm?" He now cupped her face using his both hands and made her look at him. His lips parted when he saw her eyes. Her eyes were… melancholy as if it was grieving for someone.
