The driver

Kieffer used his connection just to find the person who committed that crime. His family has many connections plus his family is one of those influential families in the country. In less than 24 hours, he already received the information he wanted. One of his bodyguards gave him the envelope containing that person's information. His eyes furrowed then, shock was written on his face.

"What an ass." he commented after he read the information. He texted Tyler that he already found the person he was looking for. It's already lunch when he arrived at Tyler's place.

"The person you were looking for is still alive." he said as soon as he entered Tyler's office. He handed the envelope to him. Tyler accepted it.

"Jonathan Vasquez. 38 years old. No family. Working as a Manager in CK Mall." Kieffer stated while Tyler read the information he gave. Tyler threw the papers on the table and looked at Kieffer.

"You can do whatever you want. He's working on your Mall anyways." He shrugged and continued his work. Kieffer saluted on him before sitting on the chair in front of Tyler's table.

"How's your project with the Hossler?"

"I'll visit the site tomorrow. They have already started the construction." he answered without leaving his eyes from his laptop.

Minutes had passed when they heard the door open. Kieffer looked at Tyler who didn't even bother with that.

"Who's that? Dra. Kyline?" Tyler closed his laptop and stood up. Kieffer followed him.

Tyler put his hands on his both pockets as he approached Lanie who was holding two paper bags. Kieffer's jaw dropped as he looked at Lanie then to Tyler.

"Hey, I don't know what to or...der. Kieffer?" Lanie said after she handed the two paper bags to Tyler. Kieffer scanned Lanie clothes. A pink jogging pants and an oversized aesthetic shirt.

He just raised his hand to wave at her, awkwardly. Lanie blushed and quickly followed Tyler to the kitchen. Kieffer shook his head as a ghost of a smile appeared on his lips.

"Did he know that I am living here?" Lanie asked when she arrived at the kitchen. Tyler ignored her and continued to arrange the food she bought. Lanie bit her lip when she saw Kieffer enter the kitchen. He looked at them and smirked.

"Let's eat." Tyler announced. They all sat and got their food. Lanie got a small amount of food, she was still full because she ate a burger while she was on her way home. Tyler saw it causing him to add more food on her plate. Kieffer coughed at the sight of it. He couldn't believe what he was seeing right now. Tyler seemed to be a different person right now. Never in his life has he seen Tyler become like this! Tyler didn't even get him water once when he was choked!

"T-that's enough. I'm not that hungry, Tyler." Lanie said, being shy.

"You should eat more, look at you, you're so thin." Tyler said.

Kieffer fake coughed, "Tyler can you pass the rice?" he said.

"You have hands, Kieffer." Tyler lazily answered. He scoffed at him. See? How could he!

Lanie's lip parted. She looked at Kieffer and shyly smiled at him. She got the rice and gave it to Kieffer. After they ate, Tyler suggested that Kieffer was the one who would wash the dishes. Lanie was about to protest but Tyler grabbed her hand and they went to his office.

Lanie looked around to his office. This is the first time she entered his office at home. After a few minutes, Kieffer entered.

"So, you two are living together? Since when?"

"Uhm, almost a week?" Lanie laughed awkwardly. Kieffer shrugged, didn't even shocked at this set up.

"Kieffer has a gift for you that's why he's here." Tyler said to Lanie. She looked curiously at Kieffer.

"Here," he handed the envelope to Lanie. She tilted her head, wondering what it was as soon as she saw the content of the papers. She looked at the guys, clueless.

"That's the guy you want me to find." Tyler said. Lanie's eyes widened and looked at the papers again.

"He ran after he hit Mark's mother. He was just 22 at that time. Too young and too frightened." Kieffer said. "Don't worry. I'll make sure he will be punished."

Lanie held Kieffer's hands while she said her thank yous to him. Kieffer looked at Tyler who's giving him a death glare, the reason why he pulled out his hands away from Lanie. He scratched her neck and said welcome to Lanie.

The next day, Kieffer visited the CK Mall. All of the employees greeted him when he was walking to his office. He instructed his secretary to bring Mr. Jonathan Vasquez to him. He leaned in his chair when he saw Mr. Jonathan Vasquez entered. He looked at him coldly and emotionless.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Andres." he greeted. Kieffer didn't answer and remained staring at him.

He felt that Mr. Jonathan was nervous because he couldn't look at him properly.

"How come you were hired in my Mall when you killed someone?" he asked, which made Mr. Jonathan looked at him in shock. Before he could speak, Kieffer stood up and went in front of his table and leaned on it while playing his ballpen.

"You hit a lady before, right? Then you quickly drove away, leaving the lady there at the middle of the road, dying." he continued. Mr. Jonathan suddenly kneeled in front of him. He looked at Kieffer, scared and begging.

"I am sorry, Sir! I'm sorry! I was so young back-"

"CUT THAT BULLSHIT!!" Kieffer shouted. Mr. Jonathan was stunned and became more scared.

"Don't say that to me. Say that to the son of the lady you killed." he said emphatically and left Mr. Jonathan there, still kneeling and devastated.
