The Only Witness

Lanie was still bothered by the things she saw and what was happening to her for a few days. She was thinking hard about the possible reasons why and how she can see people's past by holding the things that were connected to them.

"What time is your work tomorrow?" Lanie looked at Tyler. She didn't notice him sitting beside her. She was too preoccupied. Her mind was wandering somewhere.

"Morning duty." she answered shortly and continued watching the movie she played a while ago. She was watching but she didn't understand what the movie was about. Nothing's entering her mind. Tyler knew it. He noticed everything about her because she was easy to read.

"I won't be there tomorrow. I'll be going to the Hossler's hotel to check what's going on there." He said while looking at her. Lanie nodded like a robot.
