... Eyes roamed the room searching and she found what she was looking for; the roof of the room was all solid brick work except the small metallic surface. Exerting all her force, she was able to move the metallic slab. Climbing out she was hit with a moon-light. She noticed the ground was bare and only the metallic slab was lying there showing the opening of the underground base.

Replacing the slab, she searched her pockets but found out that they have taken her phone. She was about to give-up, when she remembered the cheap phone that her mother brought her. It was a cell-phone in a shape of pen and was useful for calling, texting and had a GPS. She kept it her hidden pocket on the inner-side, she had taken it out today to throw it away and hid it so that she wouldn't be embarrassed.

Now she was feeling thankful towards her deceased mother. Taking it out she found that it was in a working condition, quickly locating herself she moved to find the nearest cafe.

500km from her destination of the cafe she met her boyfriend; Kano. She ran to him hoping that he will help her but he pushed her away calling her useless and stupid. Before dragging her to his car, drugging her and selling her off.

Thankfully she had her virtue intact. But she was drugged heavily and the buyer getting tired of her threw her away.

When she opened her eyes again she saw that she was in a hospital, hooked to multiple machines. Her father was standing there looking at her in disgust, disappointment and contempt.

She finally thought of all the things from her past; how her mother used to cherish her and treat her like a princess and how her father treats her like a expendable pawn. How to her mother she was a princess and how to her father she is nothing but a failure.

All the hope she felt towards her father was broken and she felt empty inside. She closed her eyes accepting defeat but she will never forgive those who harmed her be it physically or mentally. The feeling of wanting to prove herself to her father disappeared.

She was now able to see the world without her eyes being covered by rose-tinted glasses.

She remembered when her mother died she was notified by the text her adopted uncle send but she didn't care and felt nothing. Now when she was about to die herself, she was remembering all those happy memories with her mother though how little they maybe, reminiscing all the work her mom did to put a smile on her face.

The famous saying hit her like a brick,

' You never realise what you have until its gone".

She cried remembering her beloved mother.

She lay there waiting for the grim reaper to take her. She wanted to scream and cry out loud but her vocal cords made no sound. She felt numb and her eyes closed. And that's how she died.
