Rays of sunlight hit the face of a body covered in blankets. The serene expression on the face was disturbed by the scrunching up of the face. Waking up but still lying around in the bed, lazing around in the crumpled sheets, while the sunlight is streaking through the blinds. She slowly opens her eyes, blinking to clear her vision. Cracking and popping sounds were made as she stretched, raising her hands above her head and yawning.

Her lips curl into smile enjoying the soft and slow process of waking up after sleeping in after a long time. Sitting up while running a hand through her hair she glances casually at the alarm clock on the counter-top of side- table. Flipping the pillow, she went to back to lying and rolling around in the sheet-world.

Finally getting tired she stops and stares at the ceiling, when it hits her. Her nose twitches, sniffing she catches faint fumes of sizzling bacon, melted butter & herbs, scrambled eggs drifting up from the kitchen.

.

Can it be?

.

.

Is she still dreaming?

.

.

Where has her little Ying gone?

.

.

Is it possible?

Again sniffing like a bunny, this time she is positive, she is certain, she is sure.

.

.

Bacon, butter, herbs and eggs!

It smells of a heavenly breakfast giving off a feeling of Sunday morning, casual clothes and pajamas, a day she can spend relaxing and day-dreaming.

But pushing away her thoughts she got ready quickly before rushing to the kitchen where she saw her little Ying standing on a stool while making eggs before pushing it into two plates and carrying it to the table. The table had two tall glasses of orange juice and two plates; on each plate were few pieces of bacon and scrambled eggs.

Standing by the door at the entrance of the kitchen in shock because Ying never made food for herself or her mother she always complained of doing chores if that was the only way her mother was willing to give her some spending money, in the past it had been her favourite method to get extra money, and her mother knew this but didn't have the heart to say no to her little girl.

Ying noticed her mother's state, giggling loudly, she ran to her mother with a skip in her step. Dragging her to the table. Yu Yan snapped out of her shocked state.

.

.

"Ying Yue! It's okay you don't need to make breakfast, mother knows that you mean well, if you need money then I will give you, okay?".

Ying's eye becomes glazed with tears that were threatening to fall.

Yu Yan panics and runs to the cloth rack placed at the entrance of the house by the wall, quickly taking her purse, she ran back to the kitchen. Opening her purse and taking out her wallet she takes out 200 yuan and stuffs it into Yuan's hand.

"Is it enough?"

Ying shakes her head and the tears finally start falling and she started sniffing out-loud.

Yu Yan always gave Ying whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted so she gave Ying her wallet. ...
