DELLA

June 10th, 2013

It was Monday morning. The birds chirped melodiously, welcoming the sunny morning. It was a beautiful day to start the day. So far, everything was going well. Everyone woke up early, not the same as in previous days because that day was they went back to school.

On the other hand, Marbella Theodore was still fast asleep, enjoying the rest of the dream that made her not want to wake up. She ignored the sunlight that had penetrated her bedroom window and forgot that morning she had to go to school.

Even after someone knocked on her room and shouted her name, she wasn't bothered at all and didn't open her eyes in the slightest. "OH MY GOD! ELLA, ARE YOU SERIOUS?" shouted someone from the door of her room. Because he did not get an answer, he immediately opened the door and stared at Ella, who was still asleep. He sighed to be patient. He walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. He seemed to take a deep breath first and, "MARBELLA THEODORE WAKE UP!!" he shouted right in her ear.

At that time, Marbella was still half-conscious and sat down in shock. She seemed to think what was going on while Daffa was laughing at Ella's shocked face. A few seconds later, Ella realized and immediately hit Daffa in the face with a pillow, "CAN YOU WAKE ME UP IN A MORE HUMAN WAY?"

Daffa laughed and stood up to avoid Ella's punch, "Well, I woke you up slowly but it didn't work," replied Daffa lying.

"You're lying i know it! Since when did you wake me up without screaming, huh?" said Ella staring flatly at Daffa.

Daffa chuckled, realizing that was true.

"Hey! I have known you since childhood and I know you will not wake up before being yelled at. Even the alarm you set seven times do not work for you. So do not blame me, I did what I was supposed to do," replied Daffa to save himself.

"No, i'm not," denied Ella.

"Oh yeah? Why didn't you wake up by yourself then?" ask Daffa, making Ella speechless.

"I tried-"

"You tried?"

"Why are you mad at me like I made a huge mistake?" asked Ella, she returned to lie down on her bed.

"Are you kidding me? Ella, it's half past eight if you want to go back sleep i'm gonna leave you. I don't want to be late on the first day of school," said Daffa.

"Okay okay, chill." Ella stood and looked at Daffa as if waiting for something.

"What?" Daffa asked cluelessly.

"Do you want to just stand there because I want to take a shower right now," asked Ella back.

"I thought you wanted company," joked Daffa.

"idiot," shouted Ella, hitting Daffa with her pillow. Daffa laughed running out of Ella's room.

Marbella Theodore, she was sixteen and 5'4 feet. She had long natural blonde hair and beautiful green eyes. She was not that pretty, but she had a cute face. Sometimes everyone wanted to protect her because she thought she could do everything by herself. She loved music, and sometimes she made songs. That's one way to express what she was feeling. She knew Daffa from a young age. Or instead, they were friends since they were born. Their parents were good friends, and they were born in the same year; Daffa was three months older than her. They both became friends since childhood. Plus their adjoining house and their room which had opposite windows.

Daffa Peterson, Everyone knew him, I mean the whole school knew him. He was very famous because many girls at school had a crush on him. He has a handsome face and an athletic body, He was 6'1 feet. He had brunette hair and blue eyes. He was also the basketball team leader at his junior high school, so there was no reason people shouldn't like him. Before he entered high school, it was confirmed that his name had been heard everywhere, and he would become a candidate for the basketball team captain. Daffa loved the music too. Sometimes he and Ella covered songs together. He could play the guitar and piano just like Ella because they studied it together.

Twenty minutes later, Ella was ready with her simple outfit. She went down the stairs and saw Daffa already sitting with a frown on his face.

"what happened to your face, hm?" asked Ella with a chuckle.

"What happened to my face? really? We are sure to be late because of you," said Daffa.

"Relax, I'm sorry I fell asleep last night because I wanted to finish reading my novel," replied Ella apologetically. "Let's go."

"Have you had breakfast?" asked Daffa.

"Not yet, but I-"

Daffa sighed. He was expecting it. "But you what? I'm sure you will forget and not eat until lunch time, come on! You have to have breakfast first, I don't want you to have heartburn," said Daffa and walked toward the kitchen.

"B-but we're going to be more late."

"I don't care, your health is more important, Ella," replied Daffa, looking at Ella softly.

If Daffa had been like that she would not be able to argue because sometimes what he said was always true.

"Is Jeremy home?" Daffa asked while making Ella breakfast.

Yes, it was their habit, Daffa always cooked for Ella, and Ella always cooked for Daffa. They've been doing it for a long time.

"Yes, but this afternoon he will go for campus activities for three days," replied Ella.

Jeremy Matteo Theodore, he is Ella's brother.

"And your parents?"

"No, they're not home yet. I don't know when they'll be home," Ella replied.

"Do you want company tonight?" asked Daffa while giving breakfast that he had made.

"No, it's okay. I'm good," Ella replied.

"Okay, that's up to you. Call me immediately if anything happens, okay?"

"I'm not a kid anymore." Ella looked at Daffa flatly.

"Okay..okay."

After Ella finished eating breakfast, they immediately went to school using Daffa's car.

Arriving at school, like what was expected, all gazes focused on them. Okay, not them, but to Daffa. The reason is that they were the only ones who were late, and all the girls fell in love with Daffa's appearance. Not a few of them thought that Ella and Daffa were dating because they always together.

"Can you make them stop being crazy about you? Because sometimes it's so annoying," Ella grumbled.

"You're jealous because lots of girls like me, hm?" Daffa chuckled.

"That's not true, I'm just tired of being told I'm not worthy of you because I'm always with you even though I'm not your girlfriend."

"Hey, I always ignore them, after all what they say is completely wrong. Don't listen to what they say," Daffa replied, gently stroking Ella's hair.

After punishing for being late, the two of them walked towards the class. They were in the same class, which was a good thing.

It was break time. Daffa and Ella went to the place of their friends, Vanya and David.

Vanya Claire Luciano, She is gorgeous, sweet, has a skinny body. Many people like her but are hindered because she already has a boyfriend.

David Finnegan, the two of them, were initially best friends, but they liked each other and ended up dating until then.

From junior high school, the four of them are always together. They complement each other. The Navaraude, that's their name.

After school, Daffa escorted Ella back as usual. He stopped at her house first. They met Jeremy in living room, who was getting ready. "Hey," he said.

"Are you leaving right now?" asked Ella.

"yeah, I'm sorry I couldn't be with you in three days." Jeremy apologized. "It is okay."

"Hey, Daf. You can take care of Ella, right?"

"I can take care of myself," protested her.

"I know but I don't want you to be lonely."

"yeah of course, I will tell my parents that I will stay here for three days," said Daffa.

"You don't have to." refused Ella.

"But I want to."

"Whatever," said Ella as she just left them. Until whenever they will consider themselves to be protected. Sometimes she likes it because she feels protected, but sometimes it's annoying.

That night Daffa really accompanied her.

Daffa often stays at her house, so he has his own room there.

"ELLA ARE YOU STILL MAD AT ME?" shouted Daffa from the front door of Ella's room.

"Yes, Go home! I don't need you," replied Ella.

"I can't, Jeremy told me to," said Daffa.

There was no more answer from Ella, so Daffa just opened the door, which he already knew was unlocked. Ella never locked her room.

"It's better if we watch a movie marathon, though," said Daffa, taking a seat.

"hey I haven't let you in yet," said Ella.

"So, what are we watching?" Daffa asked, ignoring what Ella had said.

Ella sighed after she thought again, Daffa was right. There was no point in being angry. Daffa would find a way to make her stop mad at him. So that night they spent time watching movies.

Ella overslept, so Daffa had to pick her to the bed. Daffa pulled the blanket for her over her chest and smoothed her hair. "good night," he said. After that he went to his room.

That was the relationship between Ella and Daffa. If you asked if at that time they had feelings more than friends or not,

No, they didn't have. Or maybe not yet? Only time will tell.
