DANYA

Vanya Claire Luciano, if likened to a flower, she was an orchid. Fake orchid. Everyone admired the beauty of orchids. There seemed to be no flaws at all. It was considered the perfect flower because of its beauty and luxury, but no one knew it was fake, just like her.

Vanya was so gorgeous. She had blue eyes and short brunette hair. She had a skinny body, and not tall; she was just 5,1 feet. Many people at school had a crush on her because she looked so confident and attractive at the same time. She also looked very classy. Basically, No one wanted to cause trouble with her because she could make people suffer just because of what she said.

Sometimes we forget that everyone has problems. What people have or what people do daily doesn't guarantee that we know what's exactly is going on in their life. Therefore we are taught not to judge people just for their appearance. Appearances are deceptive. Everyone shows their best in front of people, no matter how broken they are.

But everyone has their own way of dealing with a problem. Some of them choose to put on a mask, pretending they don't have a problem. Some of them decide to show their emotions to everyone that they have a difficult situation. There is nothing wrong with the two. It all depends on themselves.

Vanya was the type of girl who was very concerned about her appearance. At that time, she was choosing the right outfit to wear on the first day of school. She spent nearly half an hour selecting several outfits before she decided on one of them. After that, she sat at her dressing table and applied make-up sufficiently on her face.

Hearing the door being opened by someone, Vanya turned around and found David standing at the door, he was looking at her with a sweet smile on his face.

David Finnegan, he was Vanya's boyfriend. They were friends since junior high school, and they had feelings that were more than friends. They were one of the couple who looked really good together. Physically he was also very handsome because of his baby face and his curly brown hair which could make everyone fall in love with him. Also he had brown eyes and he was 6,0 feet.

Vanya sighed, she had expected he wouldn't listen to her. "I thought I was clear enough to tell you to wait downstairs and not come to my room."

"I know, but I'm here to meet Colby and he absolutely didn't forbid me to come here," David replied, lying of course. he walked in pretending to be looking for Colby, Vanya's pet dog. Actually he just wanted to meet Vanya upstairs, even though she forbade it. He really liked messing with his girlfriend.

David circled Vanya's room and found no sign of Colby's presence. Meanwhile, Vanya tried to be patient with this man. "Hey buddy where are you..."

"Where is he?" asked David, He was baffled.

Vanya looked at David flatly. "You're the one who took Colby off to your house last night, you idiot."

David seemed to remember what happened last night, and he nodded his head, "oh really? I forgot about that," replied David, then he chuckled.

"And I told you to bring Colby when you come back," said Vanya.

"Oh really?"

"I-" Vanya looked at David, wondering why this man was so easy to forget things.

"forget it, I will just pick him up after school."

"Okay, and oh yeah before i forget it again, can you just stay at my house after school? I want to take you somewhere tonight," asked David.

"Yeah I think I can, but I have to tell my Dad first."

"That's not necessary, I told him and he said you can go with me," replied David walked over to Vanya and hugged her from behind. "You look so good, though." David then tickled Vanya's waist, which made her run away from David, who was also chasing her.

"Stop tickling me," Vanya said, running away from David. After they were tired of running, they lay on the floor laughing together.

"Come on, we will be late if we don't go now," said David and then got up and helped his girl to her feet.

The two of them then went downstairs and found Vanya's father was sitting on the sofa, focusing on his cellphone. "Hi, dad," said Vanya.

Will, Vanya's Father, turned and smiled kindly, "Hi, sweetheart. Are you going now?" he asked.

"Yes, we will be late if we do not go immediately," replied Vanya.

"Alright then, hey David be careful driving and have fun you two," said Will.

"Of course I will be careful and I promise I won't take Vanya away late at night," replied David.

"Don't worry about it, you two don't often get permission from me to go on a date, now go and have fun," said will.

"Thank you, Dad."

When they arrived at school, there were not many people at school. They thought they would be late, but they weren't.

"Have you seen Daffa and Ella?" asked David looking around while they walked toward to their classroom.

"I haven't seen them either, I will call Ella," Vanya answered while looking for her cellphone in her bag.

The first call went unanswered, but when she tried the second time, Ella picked up the phone.

"Hi, el. Where are y-"

"We're still at home," interrupted Daffa instead of Ella.

"Give my phone back." came Ella's voice faintly.

"Hey I want to talk to Ella not with you!" replied Vanya.

"No no no, she can't talk right now," said Daffa with no excuse.

"Really, Daf?"

"Hey she is eating her breakfast! if she chuckles because talking while eating, I will blame you," said Daffa then gave the cellphone to Ella.

"Yes, Van, what's up?" said Ella with a full meal in her mouth.

"WHERE ARE YOU? YOU WILL BE TOO LATE IF YOU DON'T GO NOW!"

"I know, I know. Daffa told me to have breakfast first, if I don't, he won't want to go," complained Ella.

"DAFFA PETERSON ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THERE'S A CANTEEN HERE!"

"Vanya Claire Luciano, are you sure she will remember that she hasn't had breakfast?" asked Daffa.

"Of course she won't forget!"

"Oh really? Because what I know she often skipped her mealtime because she forgot it," said Daffa against Vanya.

"Do you two really have to argue about this, like right now?" interrupted David.

Vanya sighed, "okay okay, hurry up and go maybe you two still have a chance to arrive on time," Vanya said even though they were both late in the end.

After school as planned, Vanya went straight to David's house. When they got to David's house, she found David's parents sitting back and talking.

"Hi Vanya!! it's been a while since we met," said Eva, David's mother and walked over to hug Vanya.

Vanya greeted David's parents back, and they talked briefly about school and other things.

David's family was very warm, and his parents were often at home. Likewise, with Allison, David's younger sister, who was fifteen years old. They often spent time together, sometimes Vanya was jealous of that.

After they finished talking to David's family, they both went to his room.

When she opened the door, she picked up a present on David's bed. "What is this?" asked Vanya.

"Oh that's for you, you can open it right now if you want" replied David.

Vanya slowly opened the gift and looked inside. She was very surprised, It was a silver minidress and it looked so stunning. Vanya was silent for a moment.

"No way-"

"Are you serious? This is very beautiful," said Vanya while looking at the dress.

"Do you like it?" asked David.

"You kidding me, of course I love it," replied Vanya happily.

"Yesterday I saw it and I thought it would suit you very well, you can wear it for tonight," said David.

"yes I will, thank you very much," said Vanya and hugged David.

That night David invited Vanya to dinner at a romantic restaurant and after that took her for a night drive until late at night. They spend time together, having fun like singing, telling stories, laughing and other things. That night seemed only to them. Just the two of them, nothing else.
