283. The 'Universal Battlefields': The remains of young flower's ashes - Part 2

[Demon's War (Recovery of Allies): Arc 13]

Year 2003 the Light has soon appeared and the newly born girl has shined over the humanity's responsibility.

The birth that once appeared had been now unknown for the entire Human Society and her existence was yet unknown, nor was it seen.

With the born girl's full-caring personality from baby's perspective, this girl was sent onto the Planet Earth to secretly live a Human's Life, without even herself knowing what she truly was.

Now, in the year 2019 the first human coming in contact with this girl was a 16 year old Teenager boy, who had become the next Substitute-Duelist and the ally of the potential future Godess.

Through the year of their meeting, the Substitute-Duelist never understood why her existence was so important and even before he managed to understand, his promises to keep her protected was a significant shock.

Due to this girl's crooked knowledge about herself, even herself couldn't believe what a mere human had spoken, but until now, year 2020, this teenager had held his promise straight and never let go, but due to the accident of her ally falling and seeing her 'killed', the teenager gave into his inhumane actions, and the first appearence of the disordered 'Fiend' all he had seen was a revenge over this girl's 'killer'.

But then, in sudden appearence, after this teenager finally broke the seal that kept his humanity hidden, the Demon God himself appeared out of nowhere and claimed that he'll use the power of both, The Semi-Godess and the Substitute-Duelist, for himself and without wasting time, the two teenager were both held, unconscious in Demon God's palm, taken to the underworld.

But due to the Demon God not being aware, his own son, known as the Half-Demon entered the underworld and was put under a difficult responsibility...

....Katorishi Codey, his hatred toward father was seen and as much as his fear prevailed over, he never let go of his allies.

In the unexpected, this Half-Demon promised himself to bring back, both Kirashito Ayuka the Semi-Godess and Shinkaku Timoshī the Substitute-Duelist to once again see Humanity.... To achieve this goal, his journey will be hard, long and with the Demon God in front of him, he's aware that his risks of entering the underworld might ended up in fighting his own father.....

After Tim and Ayuka obtained their own Ginkens and retrieved them under their control they were finally set on the goal of escaping, but their path was blocked by a Member of the 'Most Trusted' Guards, Kaneko Ryota and the number '2' among the five.

With Tim entrusting that Ayuka will be able to defeat her opponent, Ryota allowed Tim to pass through the opening and was ready to prepare for a battle against Ayuka.

With Tim 'assigned' to battle and defeat the God of Demons, Rez, he was unaware of what was known to soon be his opponent.

With a smile, Ryota dropped down and his eyes immediately turned red, once a black aura began to be released.

"Very well then.... This will be your last time of walking alone!" Upon the landing Ryota immediately exchanged looks with Ayuka, who held her sword pointed directly at him. "Explain to me. Why have you let Tim pass by you? What are you planning to do?" Ayuka wondered with a dead serious look. "There's no proper 'planning'. But I left him go, only due to our Lord's commands. Not to worry, he won't get to the Lord by himself, there are still another one who was assigned to put down your friend. And the other two among us were set on the opposite side of defeating the other two friends of yours." Smiled Ryota, having his left arm on his palm.

"Other friends? Who else have you brought down here without us knowing?" Questioned Ayuka. "Truthfully, no one, the two of them have decided to follow us in hopes of rescuing you. I believe one of them is our Lord's son." After dropping a grin and his eyes, Ayuka became a bit concerned. ("Why would Codey follow us down here? He knows it's dangerous? And who is with him? Is it one of our Guild members, or is it somebody completely else?") But without acceptable hint, Ayuka sighed.

"It does not matter. Those two won't be stopped by the likes of you... And even if they are overwhelmed, they won't tend to give up. You and your members, alongside your 'Lord' will all be discomforted and defeated, you may mark my words." Claimed Ayuka, reaching with her left hand onto her sword's handle.

"Henshin!"

[Underworld - Jail Cell Gate - Friday, 12:43 p.m.]

Codey and Tsuneo were moving over the mountain-like rocks once skipping gaps between them.

Without wasting their time, they both leaned their backs backward and slid down the rocks once crouching and launching themselves far into the distance once noticing a massive 'castle' in the distance.

"That's gotta be it! That must be where Tim and Ayuka are held! I'm sure of it!" At clearence of his view, Codey landed on the floor in front of the gigantic gate, surrounded by the lava and was simply followed by Tsuneo.

After landing, the two have decided to walk forward and face around for any upcoming assassins. "It seems to be rather clear? You sure this is the place?" Wondered Tsuneo while looking around. "It's gotta be. After all, this was the only building that we've seen. Everything else was surrounded by lava and isolated." Explained Codey once his red robe waved, due to his other clothes being ripped.

But in the moment of them thinking they were clear, somebody stepped in front of them and stopped them from continuing. "It's definitely not 'isolated' like the other places. I believe you're correct," Spoke Tsuneo, gulping.

"Ah, you've managed to reach your mark. Our Lord has been expecting you, dear 'travelers'. I believe you're here to hopefully rescue your friends. However, not to excite you, but I'll be stopping you right here. After all, those were my commands." Smiled Kiyoshi. "What was I thinking. Of course he'd have backups." Codey added once he held his wrist.

"My name is Kawabata Kiyoshi and I am Number 4 among the 'Most Trusted' Guards of the Demon God. As the rest, I have been assigned to keep you at bay from entering, specifically that kid, which is getting on my nerves for being such a baby." Sighed Kiyoshi, pointing at Tsuneo. "W-what? W-why me?" Tsuneo got stressed but was in fear. "You're joking?! You aren't planning on fighting this brat?! He's just a kid!" Yelled Codey, stepping in front of Kiyoshi. "Look, I couldn't care less. I just have commands and no other choices. So if you'd please stop bulging out like an idiot, let me slaughter that kid." Sighed Kiyoshi, having one of his arms on his hip. "Not a chance! I'll only let you once I'm killed!" Yelled Codey, causing Tsuneo to be caught in surprise.

"Ugh. Why do I always get the idiotic ones, I'll just eliminate both of you." Kiyoshi stepped a few steps in front of prepared to summon his Ginken. "Codey. I'll be fine. One of us has to hurry to the rescue of your friends! We don't have much time, so please, let me fight him by myself." Spoke Tsuneo. "B-But? How do you plan on fighting alone in this Human Body? You're more stubborn than Tim, right now." Surprisingly asked Codey. "He doesn't seem to have much interest in you, so go help your friends. I'll keep him busy and away from you." Spoke Tsuneo, stepping in front of him, once grabbing his Demon's Claw Knife.

With a pair of his eyes twitching, Codey felt true purpose and confidence of Tsuneo's pressure. "All right... You're right. One of us must go to save them... Just, keep your guard up and don't show and traces of giving up." At Codey's warning, Tsuneo gave him a nod and without resisting, Codey dashed forward pass, Kiyoshi and entered the gate.

"Then, get ready, you Demon!" Shouted Tsuneo, spinning his Demon's Claw Knife, however he felt more confidental then before.

[Planet Earth - Innerlight City - City Center - Friday, 1:10 p.m.]

With the Squads finally gathered at the center, their new orders arrived.

"This is becoming absurd. There was still no reports back from the three Squads? Just what the hell happened?" Due to the stress call of their mind, Midori felt in fear, but at once Ellie came flying from the top of the roof and entering in front of the rest. "Ellie! How did it go? Where are they?!" Questioned Mayumi.

Ellie seemed to have been looking at his palm, with his eyes fully stressed up and shaking. His entire arm was filled with such stress and he was almost unable to talk.

"I-I.... All of them... I-" Ellie's eyes were letting out tears. "The Innerlight City's surroundings have been fully wiped out, there are no signs of Lieutenants, there are no signs of the other three Squads, and.... And.... Y-Yasu.... She-" Ellie's eyes widely opened.

[Planet Earth - Innerlight City - Streets - Friday, 12:50 p.m.]

- A few minutes earlier -

Ellie was using his 'Godspeed' to scout the entire city, his eyes were terrified, after seeing so many limbs teared apart. "This.... Can't be... All of these Duelists, they've all been devoured and teared apart?!" Ellie noticed the skin spread across the city's grounds and only blood was around them.

"I-I thought D-Demons devour Human's Body parts to their bones... B-But this, this is their skin, their limbs and blood. W-why would they leave this in the city?!" Ellie's eyes were shaking when he grabbed both of his eyes.

"I can't stand it. So many lives, lost. Due to just one arrival of the Demon? Hideki, Kazuko, Shoji, The Lieutenants... How did this happen to you? How were you overpowered by the Demons?" Ellie moved his palms off the face and he was seen the rainy drops splashing over his body and palms, causing his hair to drop down due to the wetness. "I can't believe it. Why can't this be a dream? Why won't it be a dream?" But at that moment, Ellie's eyes froze once looking to the side, after standing up straight, but soft in his body.

"No... No... Not, not you too..." Ellie's eyes faced at the feminine body as the body had had the half of its inner bones crushed and ripped out. "Y-Yasu?!" His eyes were caught in shock as he had his eyes unblinkable.

He walked toward her and faced down at her body. "You... you too? W-why would Shin assign you to be a a Squad Leader, you were the youngest and he knew... he knew that you barely had any proper Ginken to your wielding... You've.... You've told us what your mother did to you. You even promised us to receive the 'Dueling Licenses'. The fear that you had... It... It was always hidden and overwhelmed by your progress of becoming a Top Tier Spiritual Duelist, just why, why would he even assign you to such a difficult job, just what happened here, why has this had to happen to you? W-where is your smile, it was always seen by others, so why can't you smile now? Ellie reached for her left arm which was leaned up on her stomach and noticed that she held her 'Dueling Licenses' in her hand.

"T-This must be your final memory, before you died." Ellie covered his right eye with his palm when looking at her 'Dueling License', he even noticed that there was a photo of Yasu's mother. "After being so badly treated by your mother, you still continued to fight, you've still continued to make friends... This shouldn't have had happened to you... It shouldn't, you were the only one who admired us, you had admiration for living, you've had so many good friends that have now been killed and lost... I hate every single event that had happened. Somehow, all three of the main Squads were wiped out alongside you... I wish to have answers... I'm so sorry." Ellie was fully left out and felt upset.....

[Planet Earth - Innerlight City - City Center - Friday, 1:10 p.m.]

All of the Top Tier duelists were uncapable of proper speech. "H-how? What did she do to deserve that? She.... She was already through so much, she even managed to be known as a proper Duelist, a-after she managed to obtain the 'Dueling Licenses'." Claimed Midori, facing at her. Even Sakami was showing emotions as much as she was usually good at hiding them. "Y-Yasu....." Ume's energeticness that was usually seen was completely gone. "And not just her... so many of the others were killed... How were we so underpowered?" Questioned Yutaku, stressed.

"She even managed to find her proper home, next to us... And then....." Added Ellie.

"Out of everyone. She was always below our power, but she always had will to become stronger, to hopefully become better than us one day... It's unbelievable to her leave....."

The Duelists and everyone from that category were feeling emotional, barely keeping their faces hard-working.

To be continued...
