Aaron walked around the bazaar as he inspected all the item displayed. Building of two storey high made from clay occupied both his said along the way.
All sort of creature walked through the crowded streets and several stall owner called out any passer-by they saw. Things he could take notes of was, currently human like him was a rarity to see in this place and surprisingly, everyone's sense of fashion look a bit ancient despite the current advance technology.
It's been a hour yet he haven't find someone who sale food. Although that, seeing all sort of weapons, creatures and culture or traditions entertained him. But he couldn't denied that he can't understand what they were saying mostly.
"#*&$&*#&" ( Polystarch Bread for 2 cred a pack)
"*&$#&*#&" ( Blue Grain Bar for 1 cred per 3 bar)
Unfortunately, he didn't understand what they were saying and the things he were looking for was right around him. He didn't noticed this because some of the saler didn't displayed the food and some did displayed but the sight doesn't look like the food he had expected from an advanced civilization.
They were 5 main language in the galaxy and the frequent used was Enlish. However, he only knew Caestran and languages back on earth. He didn't knew how he understood this word. He could only guess that it was learned by the former owner of this body.
He knew the body was used by someone, that was why he covered himself with robe. Though the body, the head skin and his face had a burned scar.
He didn't want to meet someone that knew this body identity. Part of it because he still doesn't knew what tragedy had fell in the past.
"Sigh, I felt like something is bothering me about what this owner is shouting about.."
His word stopped upon seeing a woman in simple brown tunic dress and capri pant. Finally, a normal human with a skin color like him.
A black staff was hung on her back. She had a braided dark brown hair and a fair skin, very unlike for a person who lives in a hot desert.
But what caught his attention isn't that woman's attractiveness. For god sake he wasn't interested in intimacy. It was what the woman was chewing.
Like someone who was about to attack someone, a 1.9m tall person in robe walked against the crowd. He pushed some passer-by to the side too as he approached her.
" Hey!"
" You got a problem? Im talking to you!"
" Such rude child!"
Young or old was venting their frustration as they were pushed around. Aaron didn't mind them, he wasn't a good person to begin with. Luckily it was mostly a civilian, if not trouble would arise. Of course, Aaron had expected this as he wandered on the streets for some time.
"Hmm?" The woman turned her attention on the commotion and saw a person walking toward her.
Involuntarily, she changed her posture to a combat stance. One that look like she was still in relax posture.
When Aaron was closed enough, he towered her over 2 head making her able see the what could be a handsome face without the burn skin.
" What's up?" She asked Aaron.
Aaron didn't understood what she said but he guessed it was asking his intentions. He pointed toward the packet she was opening and made a sign gesture of eating.
He even had to do a gesture of rubbing his stomach when he saw her perplexed expression. But when she still couldn't understand what he meant. He decided to just tried speaking the Caestran language.
" I want this" He said determinedly.
" Uh..You want this?" She spoke back in Caestran and raised the food packet with confusion. Aaron smiled when she spoke the same language and proceed taking out a piece of blue gem.
" Yes, I'll pay you."
" You're joking right?" If it's not a joke, why would someone buy a piece of bread that cost 2 cred for a gem that cost several thousand.
" Ah.. no, where did you get this?" Hearing Aaron question, she only motion toward the place right in front of them. Only then did Aaron realized the saler was looking at the gem with greed.
" Breads, all of it.." He approached the man and show him the gem.
" One gem for a half hundred pack" The owner said while throwing a make up price on the spot. A clear attempt to scam Aaron.
When Aaron take out another piece of gem, the saler was delighted but the woman frowned instead.
' Is he nut or something? I don't believe it..'
Against her expectation, Aaron did really about to make a purchase with that gems. Seeing the dishonest look of the saler, her sense of justice instantly triggered.
" Wait! wait! Did you hit your head or something? Give me that!" She took one piece of the gem from Aaron's palm and pay the saler with her cred.
" What are you doing?" Aaron asked back.
" What? Are you kidding me!? That's blue gem! cost equal to tens of thousand creds!?" She yelled in frustration at Aaron who only nodded at this newfound knowledge.
" Sorry dude, not your lucky day.. deal or we find others."
" Grrr... I won't make a sale to you again the next time Loha.." He grunted in hatred at his frequent customer. Clearly, greed overcome him.
" I don't buy from the likes of you."
The saler took Loha creds before disappearing. A moment later, he threw a box filled with creds toward them.
" Now! Get lost you both!"
Loha handed the box to Aaron before she walked away but gesture him to follow her.
" Follow me."
Aaron, part of him because he want to thank her decides to just tail her. The saler watched their back until they disappeared through the crowd. He took the radio on his belt and made an order.
" Kanan"
" Yes boss?"
" I want you to deal with some s*itheads, follow the tracker I placed and take all the valuable things you could find on them!"
***
" What's your name?"
" Aaron"
" Good name, my name is Loha but you already know that.. anyway where did you come from?"
" I don't know.."
" Did you lose your memory or what?"
" Something like that."
" Hmm.. your profession?"
" None.."
" Sigh, I won't ask where you get this gem then.. I don't know how many you had in your chest but you better be careful of some unwanted eyes."
" I know that but.. thanks" Aaron said hesitantly after a while. Loha looked at him and smirked.
" What thanks? My help had a price too you know"
" I already expected that"
The more Loha chat with Aaron, the more she was annoyed and curious of Aaron identity. Everytime he was around people or place, he had an amazed expression. She couldn't help but massages her temple whenever he did it.
After getting out of the town and crossing a desert, they arrived at what appears to be a large abandoned military fleet. Judging from all the burned mark an destroyed appearance, it fell to this place maybe from a battle.
" We had arrive, this is my home" Loha said while opening her arm wide. Aaron only took a glance of it before disappearing with Loha inside.
' It's smaller than I thought.'
