Chapter 2.1: Loha

Settling inside what appear to be a living room at a little bit deeper inside the small carrier propeller the size of a building, Loha put all her belongings to the side and Aaron sat on a comfy looking chair.

Loha with a leather bag of drink approached him. After drinking the content, she offered it to Aaron who drinked to his heart contents before handing it back.

" I can't pay you back with creds for the remaining, so I wished for you to tell me what you want.." She stopped speaking upon witnessing Aaron appearance as he pulled back his hood.

It's a sight that when one sees him, they couldn't help but shivered at what he had gone through. The only pleasant part about him was his right face.

Aaron noticed Loha staring at him. Not knowing how and what to explain, he just shrugged his shoulder and opened the box he carried here.

"... so as I was saying, approximately 1 blue gem cost 20 000 creds.." Her voice went softer as she calculated with her mind.

" Yes.. I should returned you 19 600 creds.. unfortunately I don't own that much. Therefore, you can choose anything here or ask me anything. Maybe I can grant it."

Aaron glanced at Loha for a moment before he continued counting the content in the box.

" Keep the change."

" I can't do that."

" Yes you can.."

" No!"

In the middle of a desert, at the scraped ship's propeller, argument started. Although he was still surprised by the value of the blue gem, he still felt it wasn't a big deal so he wished to give the rest with Loha as a thanks to her.

In fact, he followed her because he want to repay her kindness. Seeing her lifestyle, he felt this was enough for her. Other reason, he didn't want to have any long business with people yet.

Loha on the other hand, doesn't want to be in debt on someone. Besides, he felt like Aaron was looking down on her. She also find his nonchalant attitude to be quite frustrating as she argued with him.

" Wait.. it doesn't even reached 50.." Aaron said in the mid of the argument. Then he saw a piece of button in the box and he picked it up.

' Why do I felt uncomfortable looking at this thing.. where have I seen it before.. ah.. FBI tracker?..' When he reached that thought, his eyes widened as he stared at Loha.

" I knew you're looking do- " Her word stopped upon looking at the object in Aaron hand.

" I have a bad feeling about this.." Loha said as her heart skipped a bit. Loha knew what this was, she was a scavenger and had seen a lot of electronic object. This innocent button was definitely a tracker.

They were right, it was a tracker the saler put inside the box. He didn't even bothered to fill the box with a hundred pack of bread. He thought it's just a waste for a person who's about to kick the bucket.

As if confirming their thought, a familiar sound of ship's engine entered their hearing. When they turned their attention at the desert outside. A single carrier plane with a rusty appearance slowly approached them.

" Run!" She shouted at Aaron as she escaped deeper inside. She also didn't forget to take her stuff along. Actually, she didn't even have to tell Aaron. He was already ahead before her. The packet of bread left scattered on the floor with the box as he ran for his life.

When the plane arrived, a group of people came out from it. The leader of the group, motioned the pilot to take a fly.

" Don't let them get away!" The leader ordered as all of them activated a hover motor and flew deeper inside the ship.

***

" Faster!" She encouraged Aaron who lagged behind. Though he was ahead of her before, the heavy cybernetic limb made him out of breathes.

He looked back and saw a single pursuer on hover motor. The other should be at the other side as they searched for them separately.

" Loha, do me a favor." He said to her as he took a hiding in the shadow with his black robe.

" What the hell are you doing?!" She abruptly stopped when Aaron stood on the wall while covering himself with his robe.

It wasn't dark inside the ship as a ray of light shined the inside through the numerous hole at the ship's body. Some big and some small.

" Don't move b*tch" The pursuer rudely yelled as he caught up with her. Loha raised both her hand high as she saw the modified gun on the hover motor lit up in red.

Pew

A blast of red disappeared into the pursuer's head. Loha was surprised for a moment before realizing it was Aaron who did it.

" You have a gun?"

".. Yeah.." He said with an ugly expression. He didn't came down to this unknown planet without a means to defend himself.

Before departing, he didn't forget to take a blaster pistol from the armory. Though he brought it, he didn't expected that he have to use it so soon.

" I can't believe I brought someone with gun into my home!!" She screamed in horror at her carelessness. The man who gawk at every sight, composed and oblivious of how this world work. Unexpectedly owned a gun.

' I should have expected this judging from his mysterious identity!.' She thought she was fooled by his ignorant attitude.

Calming herself, he went toward the hover motor with Aaron.

".. I killed him." Aaron said after pushing the body to the side and it fell to the floor. A wisp of smoke rose from the back of his head.

" Yeah, you don't have to state the obvious." The sarcasm from her word couldn't be hidden. Aaron frowned at her remark.

" It's my first kill."

Hearing Aaron's word, she rolled her eyes. Anger? Distrust? He couldn't understand why she felt that way if it was true.

" Know how to drive?" Loha said as she took a blaster rifle on the corpse and slung it on her shoulder.

" Of course"

Without delay, Aaron rides the hover motor and Loha climbed on the back. Her black staff was held slantedly behind her.

Woooshh

As they started to move, the group of pursuer arrived on the corner. Seeing the corpse on the floor and the escaping duo on the motor. They fired a series of laser toward them.

Pew Pew Pew

Unlike the frequent missed shot in a movie. Their shot was mostly right on target. Loha glanced at her shoulder before she tensed up.

The staff's edge instantly lit up in yellow. Letting out an intense heat from both end to the mid for a grips.

The moment her right hand moved, the staff spun leaving an afterimage of yellow light.

Psshh Psshh

The particle collided with Loha's staff energy and it deflected to random directions.

" I don't know you're a Kung Fu lady." Aaron said upon witnessing such scene from the rear view.
