Chapter 13

The mystical council gathered outside Crystal's room and discussed what can be done to help Crystal recover. The elve elder went into Crystals room and discovered that Crystal is an elve descendant and understood what Crystal was suffering from.

"She has elve blood flowing in her." The doctor looked at Crystal and asked the elve, "how is it possible?" The elve looked at the doctor and said, "even we do not know why but I do know why she is not waking up."

Starmist who had entered the Crystals bedroom asked, "you can help her, can't you?" The elve looked at Starmist and said, "Yes there is a remedy that we can make for her that would heal her and restore her power but never let her use that power again until she is trained to use the power correctly" the elder said.

The medicine was made and within a few day's Crystal was awake. She was surprised to see Mira and Starmist watching over her, "Mira your here?" Crystal said.

"You made a wise choice coming here, we have asked to meet the dragon elders council and will find the answers you seek but one thing is clear. No one seems to know why we have to fight this war."

Mira said Crystal tried to get up but had to sit back down, "did you know that you have elve blood flowing threw you?" the elve elder asked. Crystal looked at the tall figure with pointy ears and skin that looked very young but the elves eyes told Crystal he was older then showed.

"No, mom told Forest the evergreen elder most of her secrets but I wasn't told what they were, was the power that I used something only and elve can do?" Crystal asked.

"Yes to be precise only a member of the royal elves can use that power but I must warn you do not use that power again until you have been trained normal humans cant use that power so keep it a secret for now." the elve elder said and left the room.

Crystal rested for the next two days not moving around much but on the third day, she went to sit next to Starmist and Nylla on the grass below two really big and old trees.

Mira came to check on Crystal and said, "Crystal do not use your powers but also be careful who you trust, we the mystical council has decided to approached the dragon queen and see what she knows about how this war started in the meantime Crystal learn to rider better, train to use your power better and learn how to be a better leader" Mira said and left the palace.

"Mam are you sure it's okay to be out and about like this?" a maid asked. "I just wanted to be with my two best friends for a while, I really missed them plus I won't be doing any training today so there's nothing for you to be worried about."

Crystal answered as she found herself resting on Starmist's side. That night a group of dragon riders landed and found Crystal fast asleep below the old trees.

"Sir she looks just like you," someone said. Crystal felt herself being lifted into the air and for once she felt save. Crystal awoke the next morning in her bed feeling refreshed and as she got up she looked out her window she saw a lot of different riders.

Crystal got ready for a day full of training and riding. She went down for breakfast in her riding outfit and she greeted her grandfather that morning. "Goodmorning grandfather and grandmother."

The queen looked at Crystal and said, "morning, so what are your plans for the day?" Crystal thought for a while and said, "well first Nylla and Starmist needs exercise and then training the rest of the day."

Crystal answered "sounds like you will be busy all day long," the king asked. "Yes well, Mira said, I needed to train more and not worry about the war so much but I can't help but think about it so I have decided to keep busy" Crystal said.

"Well I have good news for you then, your father arrived last night and his men took care of Nylla and Starmist last night and he took you to your room.

You still have that letter you need to give him?" the king asked. "My father is here?" Crystal asked not knowing how to feel if it was possible to be angry, sad and happy at the same time that was how she felt for the first time in her life.

Crystal finished her breakfast and rushed towards Stamist and Nylla's stables. "Ready for today guys?" she asked. Nylla wasn't in her stable but Starmist was and was eager to be flying again.

Crystal summoned Starmist riding gear and got her ready for a quick flight and mounted Starmist. She had almost forgotten how big starmist really was but was happy to be riding again.

"Just where are you going young lady?" someone asked. "Riding ill be back soon." Crystal said as Starmist took off towards the sky. Starmist flew faster then she has ever flown taking sharp corners and flying at different speeds.

Crystal enjoyed every moment of the flight but knew they will have to turn around and return to the palace but not before Crystal saw a dark cloud on the horizon.

"It's the dark dragons isn't it," Crystal asked. "Yes Crystal it's them but I don't think they are coming towards us yet so don't worry about it" Starmist answered and turned around towards the palace.

"There's Nylla, Starmist," Crystal said and Starmist landed and approached Nylla, "Crystal your okay now?" Nylla asked, "Yes, I am okay now but we need to go for a flight this morning as well Nylla also there's a black cloud on the horizon Starmist said it's not coming here but keep an eye on the sky will you," Crystal said.

Starmist looked towards the sky and said, "I don't think we have to worry right now but it's probably better that we stay prepared." Crystal took of Starmist riding gear and cooled her down.

Nylla came to Crystal when she saw that Starmist was walking towards a meadow to graze on some grass. "Ready for our flight?" Nylla asked. "I am so ready," Crystal said as she started to saddle Nylla for her flight.

Crystal realised Nylla had grown when she put on the saddle and used the biggest option she had to tie the saddle onto Nylla's back. "I think we might have a problem soon," Crystal said.

"What's wrong?" Nylla asked. "I thought you were fully grown but you're still growing I will need to buy you a new saddle now this one almost doesn't fit you any more." Crystal said.

Nylla looked at the saddle and said, "I didn't notice I was still growing but now I understand why that stable has been feeling smaller to me, I am getting bigger." Nylla said.

Crystal laughed out loud and said, "You didn't realise that you were growing," Nylla looked at Crystal and said, "No well I noticed I grew when Forest was around but I don't feel bigger so I didn't notice," Nylla said disgustedly.

"Don't worry Nylla I didn't realise it either but let's go for our flight and then ill do some training and figure out how I am supposed to get you a new saddle." Crystal said as the pair took off towards the sky.

Nylla was faster then Starmist and a stronger flyer, Nylla took off towards the horizon and to Crystals surprise the reached the black clouds in less than ten minutes. "You're definitely faster I could barely hold on," Crystal said.

"Yes I do believe that's my best speed so far," Nylla said. Nylla landed and Crystal looked at the black cloud closely and asked Nylla, "do you think there's a dragon hiding inside the cloud," Crystal asked.

"Who knows, I haven't seen a cloud-like this so I do not know but look at the forest below. Crystal stood at the edge of the dark cloud and noticed it was raining in the forest.

"Your right, this cloud could be a storm dragon or animal responsible for the rain in some areas of the land," Crystal said. "I didn't know it worked that way?" Nylla said.

"Forest explained it one time to me, its how areas that normally wouldn't get rain gets rain and the rain flows into rivers and dams providing water for many humans and animals there's a purifying stone at the bottom of some lakes and hidden among some rivers that purify the water from poisons so that anyone can drink the water." Crystal said.

Nylla looked at the forest and said, "whoever has brought the rain is doing a good job to provide for the forest and the surrounding areas, I don't think we should bother him," Crystal and Nylla took off to keep flying towards the mountains.

Crystal and Nylla were flying towards the palace when she noticed Crystal dragons landing on the palace grounds. "I wonder what's going on," Crystal asked.

"Look there's Starmist standing next to Mira, I think we should land close to them," Crystal said. Nylla agreed and landed in an area close to them not before warning another dragon from standing on her landing spot but once they were safely on the ground Crystal dismounted Nylla and saw Starmist and Mira coming towards them.

"How was your flight?" Starmist asked. "Great that black cloud is a storm dragon busy feeding the forest with rain, soon the surrounding lakes and rivers will be flowing with water again." Crystal said "that's good news," Starmist said. "The council will be happy to know that the storm dragons has arrived the land was getting very dry," Mira said
