Crystal had trouble falling asleep during the night but when she finally fell asleep saw Ella and Jett again. Ella and Jett looked at Crystal and said, "fear not, the crown is strong it will protect you," Jett said.
"What do you mean? Is something wrong?" Crystal asked. The two looked at one another their eyes filled with sorrow and they lowered there head.
"The king of Eternia has passed away, the forest mourns his death, the dragon's roar in anger," Ella said.
Crystal felt tears flowing down her cheek and asked, "do you know how he died?" Jett raised his head and said, "the ancient rainbow dragon is responsible for killing him." Crystal felt her whole body go ice cold.
"You need to awake the ancient dragon's Crystal, she is coming and she is not alone, but fear not the will not discover the gate," Ella said.
Crystal woke up in a flash, she got up and got dressed. When she arrived outside she noticed all the dragons were awake now.
"Nylla comes I need to saddle you," Crystal yelled. "What do you think you are doing?" Ellas asked. The wind was blowing an icy wind threw the forest. The clouds were gathering with the promise of rain that would be falling soon.
"She is coming here, I can't let her find the mother dragon," Crystal said. Ella's face went snow-white as the news of the ancient rainbows dragons approach. Ellas looked at Crystal and left the palace.
Crystal mounted Nylla and took off into the sky. They didn't have to fly very far before they noticed a big fight had broken out but she was looking for the ancient rainbow dragon.
She and her team were in doubt for a second what if she was wrong but then she saw the ancient rainbow dragon.
She leaned forward and rubbed Nylla's neck before saying, "I know she is powerful but we can't let them find the mother dragon," Crystal said. Nylla and the other ancient dragons agreed.
Nylla roared into the sky and the fight on the ground seemed to have stopped. The ancient rainbow dragon was the first on to attack breathing fire onto the forest below.
Nylla dived down from high up in the sky and breathed fire at the ancient rainbow dragon.
Ferrum attacked the ancient rainbow dragon directly and managed to lock talent biting into the rainbow dragons neck. Drake attacked from above and the three dragons fell to the ground out of control.
Crystal tried to focus when the ancient rainbow dragon's new rider attacked her directly.
She instantly could tell he was here to kill her but she stood up and pulled her sword. They fought for hours trying to defeat the ancient rainbow dragon.
Crystal knew she could not let the ancient rainbow dragon threw, no matter the cost.
The forest burned more and more but Aqua used her water element to put out the one fire after the next. Alya being a wind dragon used her powers to created a wind that was too dangerous to fly in and so the other dragons kept fighting the ancient rainbow dragon.
Crystal didn't know when the sun came up but as the rain started to fall. The fire's died out and the ancient rainbow dragon prepared herself for another fight.
Her rider had Crystal pinned on the ground with a sword to her neck.
Crystal closed her eyes and focused on using her powers. Just a tiny bit was enough to take her opponent by surprise. Prince Leon landed and started to help Crystal deal with the rainbow ancient dragon.
She knew something was different this time, in the past she and this very team could not win against the ancient rainbow dragon. Crystal finally managed to use her powers to bound the ancient rainbow dragon to the ground.
She studied the dragon for a moment and she found her snow-white scales and her rainbow wings. Crystal noticed Prince Leon tied the rider to a tree and was busy walking towards her when an emergency message came from the palace in Eternia.
Crystal didn't need to be told what the message said, she already knew. She lowered herself on the ground and looked at the dragon in more detail and as she took her time to look at the ancient dragon. She knew that something felt different this time.
Crystal was looking at everyone when she noticed what had bothered her. This was the ancient rainbow dragon but she is very sick and it will take some time to heal her but then a voice in the forest called out to her and said, "she has been poisoned and can not be healed, her mind is corrupt she doesn't know you anymore,"
Crystal knew what this message had meant, the ancient rainbow dragon was dying. "What is going on here?" a man shouted. "What is going on is you humans have a really big lesson you need to learn," Crystal yelled at the man.
"What lesson? the man asked. "The lesson where you learn to stop getting the idea in your head that ancient dragons can bond to any human.
If you bond to a dragon that is not their true bond. Their power becomes corrupted and in the end, it destroys them," Crystal yelled at the man who asked the question.
"What do you mean it destroys them?" another man asked. "If an ancient dragon's power becomes corrupted both the dragon and the rider dies," Crystal said.
"You mean the ancient dragons that are forced to bond eventually dies, I always thought they were immortal," the man said.
"When an ancient dragon is forced to bond to a human that is not their true rider, they become corrupted and lose their ability to be immortal.
That means in case you do not know this already. Every ancient dragon you forced to bond with a human because you thought you knew better is going to die and they will all die soon," Crystal yelled.
"When you force them and control them, they can not control themselves of there powers. You use them and you control them, many die this way and you as humans do not care," Cyrstal said not even giving the men time to react.
"Can't we help them, free them somehow?" a woman asked. "Right now there is no way to do that, all we can do is watch them die," Crystal said.
She looked at the ancient rainbow dragon and realised she needed to decided what to do with the ancient rainbow dragon.
Crystal watched the ancient rainbow dragon for a while before a loud thundering noise came from the sky. "What was that?" a rider asked. Crystal realised another ancient dragon arrived on the scene.
Crystal watched as the black dragon with lighting dancing around him and he attacked the group of riders and dragons out of nowhere. Crystal's team tried to fight back but they were exhausted from fighting such a strong opponent.
She realised someone was feeding the ancient rainbow dragon and she watched her team trying to defend but they were too tired from there fight with the ancient rainbow dragon.
She had no choice but to watch the new group of fresh riders. The riders freed the ancient rainbow dragon and fled the scene.
Crystal stood in shock as the only thing she could do was watched as the group of dragons flew away. Crystal looked at Prince Leon and wondered if he heard the news about his father.
Something told Crystal it was best that she didn't tell Prince Leon since she didn't know if everything she dreamed was true.
Nylla turned around and came towards Crystal. She looked at the other ancient dragon and said, "I think it's for the best that we return home for now."
Crystal looked at her team and realised Nylla was right there were injuries that needed to be treated.
Crystal and her team arrived at the palace and Crystal started cleaning all of the wounds. She found it strange that no one was poisoned and what was more surprising was that Nylla wasn't showing any signs of crystal fever.
Crystal went to bed to rest for a while and very late that evening she was sitting on the stars looking at the stars and after a while, she walked back to bed but not before checking on all of the dragons and on Starmist.
She found that everyone was fast asleep and went into her room to get some more sleep.
The next morning Crystal was awake before sunrise and decided to get cleaned up and dressed for the day. When she was ready for the day she found herself sitting in the dining hall eating her breakfast.
When she was finished she found Elas, Kali and Lura waiting for her and Crystal remembered the message she needed to give Elas. "The voice of the Forest told me to tell you that 'the centre is the key'," Crystal replied.
Elas looked shocked at Crystal and said, "we have a lot of training that needs to be done."
