The previous class which was English, was interesting and has helped me alot more with all that information. Although, things were great and all, the most annoying part is that there were bullies bombarding me with random questions, like, "Hey gurl I need help, can I look at your book?" then saying crude stuff and never left me alone to do my work in peace.
"Can you leave me alone please, I'm working here!" I blurted out harshly, hoping to make the teacher would notice, but miserably failed.
"Oooo, she's angry so scawy! Hahaha hahaha!" One of the girls spoke up. Her blonde hair bobbing up and down in amusement. Definitely having fun. Unlike me I was fed up with this.
My angered black eyes glared at her with fury that I didn't even know if I was going to blow off through the roof right then and there.
"Ha! Better watch it shorty! Come on girls she's a loner what a useless. She can never do something amazing anyways." The one who had long brown hair tied up into a bun, her hazelnut brown eyes, covered with heavy mascara on her face, who previously stepped on my bag. Well, whoever she is she deeply hates me and I don't know why. It's a weird mystery for me to solve. Though, it's better not knowing what her name is rather than to get involved so much.
"You said it Clara!" The blonde spoke up. UGH NO just when I didn't want to know her name.
"Thanks Clair." Clara proudly replied with that posh accent.
They then left me be, and walked to where they usually sat. In that one corner of the room where a table stood firm near the classroom windows and walls that allow them to have a back rest that it also gives them space for their feet, doing their "poses" when bored or stuff, that the teacher allowed them because they learned better. They even had amazing top high scores, unlike the rest of us.
The bell rang when I have just finished answering some questions from the papers and in the middle of an unfinished essay, that our teacher assigned to us, though I could easily finish it up from home.
"Shorty, my foot!" I mumbled, walking over to my next class grudgingly right after the bell rang to the next period of school, which is Arts class.
"HEY, FLORENCE!" A familiar voice called to me. Aaron! I thought.
"Aaron, you're in this class too?" I asked. Seeing Aaron was a relief to me because he would get me distracted from worrying too much about my upcoming bully Clara. I then saw her walking passed my desk with her head held up high and her nose to the air as if she was the dominant one out of all of us, sending her signature smirk my way with a proud glance with her entourage behind her, whose actions towards others or me, I didn't like whenever I was around her.
"Hey, Florence. Who was that?" He asked in perplex, also having a look of disgust.
"That was Clara. The "domimnant" one of this school." I replied in a low, gravelly voice with annoyance in my tone. Which gave out a dark vibe from me because it turned Aaron silent. We then didn't speak for a few minutes.
"Alright class, welcome in our first day of school and we have a new transfer student who is here and I have heard from some of the students, that the other teachers didn't say anything about this. That's because they are the new the teachers of this year so I shall announce right now that there is a new student and his name is Aaron Anderson." The teacher announced.
Everyone clapped their hands in applause and it died down for the teacher to continue talking which sounsmded like a practiced essay for something.
"I am Mrs. Barrel and your assignment for this 1 whole week, will be to choose a partner and research about what you both will be doing together. And after that I will want you to draw it together and all the materials you'll need, I'll be the one providing the rest of the materials. Remember, time is of the essence!"
RING!
We chose our partners, I chose Aaron and of course he chose me as his partner as well. So we then got on to it at recess. Yes, it was recess and I was starving with a developing headache and so he got me some food and I got him some drinks we basically owed each other whenever we can. We started to talk about our likes and dislikes especially about this school.
"It's boring ay?" He spoke blantly, eyes focused on his laptop.
"Pfft, yeah I know right?" I smiled happily, knowing that there was someone to talk to and is a good friend to me.
"Pfft, yeah I know right'? Hahahhahhaha!" Clara mimicked having Clair and the others to laugh.
"Hey girls there's that new boy...Aaron, wanna hang out with us?" Clara asked staring right at Aaron. Though he declined. I smiled silently, until Aaron scrolled down to an amazing picture.
"Oooh, can we do that?" I pointed at a beautiful art work and thought it would be the best peice we could try and draw. His eyes looked up at my finger pointing to an intricate design, portrait filling the canvas of flowers, meadows, birds and a water fountain under a beautiful sunny day where the sun was just at its peak.
"That's perfect! Good eye Florence!" He commented, his hair slightly veiling his eyes. I laughed teasing he didn't have an amazing taste in art like me.
"UGH! FINE I HAVE GIVEN YOU THIS CHANCE WE WOULD HAVE GONE TO PARTY WITH A BOY LIKE YOU!" Clair's baby blue eyes, flared with anger along with the other girls.
"Sorry but I'd rather hang out with someone who is decent not with the posh one's like you, besides I don't party out in clubs. So if you'll excuse me we've got work to do." Aaron stood tall and strong against them that they left without another word, shocked at what just happened.
"You know you didn't have to."
"Oh yeah? Didn't see you doing anything about it. Do you usually let things slide like that?" Aaron asked filled with concern. Wow did he really open up to me that fast?
"Yeah, at times...Mostly no. 'Cuz, right now it's one of those times that I don't even bother." I chuckled to myself. "Don't underestimate me like that. HAHA!" I giggled at his dumbfounded face.
"So you just don't care?" He replied back in a more disbelief tone. To which I nodded in answer.
"Still I'm here if you need me." He widened his blue eyes in awkwardness.
"Are you flirting with me? Cuz I'm not interested, no offence." I widened my brown eyes as well in surprise.
"No I wasn't! I was merely telling the truth." He put up his hands in surrender and laughed. "I know that sounded wrong."
"Oh, OK." I replied.
We then joked around about all that and went back to do our work. We did this during recess and even the next one because it seemed fun. Besides the previous class English was too easy for me and so arts was the perfect thing to to do rather than being all bored doing nothing.
"Hey, Florence do you have any siblings?" Aaron blurted out, showing his caring and loving eyes to me that I rarely see through out the day because some people wouldn't stop pestering us. This was the only way we could talk to each other by ourselves.
"Um, no. You?" I replied calmly.
"Hehe, no I don't."
"Wow, must be lonely." I smiled slightly.
"Well, not really. I read." I he looked up to me from the laptop again.
"Oh." I replied awkwardly but shyly.
"Well, what's your favourite color?" He then asked.
"Huh, well just like you black, but..."
"You like other colors. No worries that's me too." He smiled looking back to his laptop. Though I couldn't help but ask this question before he could say anything else.
"By the way..."
"Yeah?"
"Are you this cold to others? Hope I didn't offend you." I asked as I tried to make him answer comfortably.
"Haha, it's fine. Yeah I was cold like this to others and I still am but..." He trailed off contemplating whether he should or not tell me this specific thing.
"But?" I urged, eager to know what was in his mind.
"But you are different you know, you helped me feel things differently from what the others feel. For example, like right now people prefer to bully others and normally I'd feel as if I am a fighter, that I had to fight back in actuals but with you I'm different as in caring, loving and such...UGH I really don't know how to explain all this. But yeah first day in school is overwhelming to you it may not be but to me it's different." Wow, he thought long hard about this? To tell me what he felt during his first day in school? Oof.
"Hey, at least we have each other to care for during these months of school." I replied comforting him. Though let's just say that sounded wrong in so many levels, which we laughed to, long and hard till our stomachs hurt.
"Haha, yeah you're right." He gave in and let happiness over take him.
"Well, happy to help."
"When is your birthday?" He asked out of the blue.
"Today, January the 1st. Why?"
"Oh my stars really!"
"Haha, yeah no need to for gifts really."
"Here take this." Aaron took out this necklace that had a dolphin shaped gem and looked amazing.
"WHAT! BUT I SAID--"
"No, buts here take it." He insisted and helped place it on my neck.
"Did you buy this?"
"Yeah, you like it?"
"Yes, but Aaron this isn't mine!"
"Pfft it's yours now." He answered, he litterally sounded so laid back.
"Did you want to give this to someone else other than me?" I asked worriedly.
"Nah, I just bought it randomly for my birthday which was last week. My parents forced me into buying something but I didn't want to. Though something caught my eye and it was that. So yeah." He smiled glad to see me happy.
"Besides your my first best friend...I mean I hope so though."
"Are you kidding! You gave me such an amazing gift, of course you are my best friend. But the only thing I could ever hope for is that you are truthful. No need to impress me but impress me with the talents you have. Maybe I can tease you later on?" I replied, shedding a few tears in my eyes but went away swiftly as it came. I then winked, hiding my over warmed heart.
"OOF, that's pretty deep." He said dumbfounded.
"Haha, thank you, I get that alot by my family." I said remembering that one memory I had back then when I said something like this before and it had a deeper analysis.
"Pfft, but that's only the half of it." I scoffed. "You wouldn't want to know, only in sulkier situations I would say more than that I guess."
"OK, you win. Remind me to never get on your bad side. Anyways c'mon, help me out here." He put hands up as if saying "you have your way then" and so I certainly helped out more.
"But thanks Aaron, really."
"You're welcome. No sweat. Don't take that necklace off, it's now precious to me alright. You're my best friend and its precious." He replied deeply.
"Anyways how old are you Florence?"
"19
"Oh, really? I'm 20!" He exclaimed. I rolled my eyes, playfully at that comment.
"Wait, could I have your phone number please Florence, for me to contact you and stuff just in case." Aaron asked to which I kindly obliged to.
"Of course here." I handed my phone to him and copied the numbers into his phone. He then gave it back to me and I thanked him.
"OK since that's all settled it's almost time for our next class. What's yours?" He spoke looking at his watch.
"History." I said, swiftly packing my stuff for our next period.
