An Admirer You Say?

The next morning came and again, so I did all my hygiene and all. I then opened my closet and found an orange patterned shirt with a few shaped hearts bearing the same color with their streaks on it. Then I found a long black skirt with a few golden streaks to it. Wonder whose was this. I then looked at the long mirror and saw my reflection. It looked amazing on me and I then took out my pink lipstick and slightly added it to my lips. It's weird how I am getting used to putting on make up right now. A knock then came to my door. I then walked up to the door twisted the knob and peered outside. It was a young red haired woman at the age of 30+ having red lips and the one who held two coffee drinks and handed the first one to me and down right sipped the other coffee that she now held, without flinching at the hotness of the drink.

"Um, hello and thanks?" I said being surprised by the gesture.

"Ah! You must be Florence! Hi, my name is Freya McCloud!" She wavrled to me.

"Oh! Yeah, hi!" I replied back but I was thinking deeply of what this conversation would be about or where she is going with this.

"Come with me, I have something to show you." Freya piped up and jerked on my sleeve with a quite harsh pull, almost spilling my coffee.

"Nani! Wait...slowdown!" I exclaimed as she sprinted with her past the bakers, shops post offices and more, until we then stopped...at an expensive MALL! I was flabbergasted about all this. Again, things came bombing at me making me feel dizzy in the inside. I don't know how I kept this composure perfectly, but I did.

"So, let's go in!"

"Wait, what about m-"

"Money? Child, I have it all. Pick some stuff for ya. Remember the essentials, and maybe some things you may want to buy." she smiled with a wink.

"Um, sure..." I hesitated abit until she gave me a friendly shove, shoving me forwards and so began the hunt.

Clothes and accessories lined up in endless rows and it was quite hard to choose from. The only thing that you can do is to use your own mind to know which one you were to forgo or the other option.

"Hmm...this looks great." I thought to myself eyeing a certain green dress. I then see children coming up to my Isle. The little boys then saw me with a big grin and summoned their mother to come over.

"Mom! Look the girl from the coffee shop!" He spoke with enthusiasm. The mother looked to me and walked towards me with a smile.

"Thank you for saving my husband." She responded.

"Oh? Um, which guy?" I asked, quite embarrassed.

"Oh, the cashier." She kindly replies.

"Oh, okay. You are very welcome."

"You should join the the police agency."

"Hmm...I'm sorry but I can't do it without my parents." I spoke with a low voice for no one else to hear only the mother.

"Hey, what about you talk to me later. Here's my phone number." She lovingly spoke with compassion and handed me her phone number.

"Ah, thank you very much for being so kind to me." I thanked her with gratitude. The little boys then saw my chosen green dress and they pointed at it saying, "You look beautiful in that dress miss." They smiled.

"Oh, thank you." I then blushed. "Well, I hope you both will look handsome when you grow older. Right now I have to get going now." I sighed with a sad smile. Feeling sad to leave the two adorable children. I then waved a good bye and proceeded with my hunt, while pushing the trolley. I then found an all new black pants and it litterally was a must buy.

I then spotted a grey shirt with black stripes with it and so I took it and threw it in the trolley along with some other clothes. Shoes then came into veiw and so I pick six pairs and dumped them all into the trolley. In my other side were the knee length skirts along with many different sizes and picked all the black ones because they were my favourite color. I then went into the essentials section for my body and then some sweets and real food.

I was filled with joy and gratitude for Freya. She then saw me and helped me with my stuff and paid it all for me. I looked at her or I guess thought of her in awe. She must be rich to pay for all this. I almost cried.

"Aw, why so down?"

"You are paying all this for me. I feel guilty. Is there anything I owe you?" I replied being quite blue as I rubbed both my arms, in discomfort.

"No, Ren it's fine no need to. All you need to do is just smile and be happy. That can be something you can owe me." She told me as if she was like a mother.

"Haha, alright Freya." I chuckled to myself until something caught me off guard. "Wait, did you just call me Ren?"

"Yeah, why?" Freya asked as she placed all the items on the conveyer belt.

"Oh nothing, it's just that hardly anyone calls me that." I looked to her with a smile, "Thanks for the creativity." I laughed.

"Haha, you're welcome kiddo." She told me as she sipped her coffee mug again. Man. Will that coffee cup ever get empty? I thought to myself but didn't bother to ask.

"By the way, some kids saw me and called me the 'girl from the coffee shop.'" I told her the news as I laughed it off.

"Ah, yes that incident. You are good in what you do, you know that Ren?" She looked at me sternly.

"Yeah, but I want my parents to see me through it all. Being there for me. Right now, I'm not in the mood, because they are not there." I explained to her about somethings weighing my heart.

"Oh, I see." She replies as she fiddled with her red hair then felt uncomfortable.

"Well, let's just take this in shall we." She perked up filling the void.

"Yeah, let's go." I laughed awkwardly.

"Wanna go to see the best sites in the City?" she offered and I obliged to it, after we stuffed my stuff in the car.

So then we started on our quest and found amazing things in the city. The arch doorway of Mrs. Sinclair and Mr. Something which I just forgot the name to. Then there was the high wall where people do clip and climb. Then there is the theatre, Daisy kaboom's warehouse, where she keeps all her TNT stuff. I cringed at the thought of her and Snake rattler. Speaking of which, where was he? I thought. Maybe later on I'd meet him in the most unusual ways one day. Anyways, I then spotted the ancient building of metropolis and gasped at the site. Freya must have seen me swoon at the site and laughed. I never thought to see such things so close as right now.

"How do you guys build all this!"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, be this creative. So much life going through the city. It's way better than my home town."

"Haha, it's actually thanks to Duke Detain and Harl Hubbs-"

"And You of course." I smiled at her in admiration. She blushed too as she heard this.

"Aw, you're so sweet!" She gushed.

We then head to a clear and sat on the grass to take in everything. I needed that, as for Freya too.

"Thank you for such a joy ride." I chuckled at her, as she laughed along and said, "Welcome Ren."

She then got an alert message from her crew in her phone and she told me that there was an emergency so I told her I'll be fine. After she left there, I took in the beautiful scene before me. Flowers blooming, birds flying all around me, the lush green grass scraping their blades on my leg caressing it, seeing Duke Detain chasing a guy in the middle of the feild and ran to the other side of the field attempting to capture him. I laughed at this. Then I see a huge water fall not far away. Seeing a rainbow coming forth from the water's reflection. I gazed at it with awe and wonder. Spider webs glistening by the sun's rays and horses galloping on the field grazing upon it. I then stood up to walk towards the waterfall and felt its pure water being cool and warm because of the sun and made my feet to wade there while no one was looking at me, for I needed the time and space. I loved it that I had this time to myself. No annoying jerks like 'somebody'. I lightly cried about about this, my heart wrenching because if its pain my stomach turning to a knot and trembled as it turned to crying and sobbing. Robbers, Aaron, killers and hunters. What next, Bounty hunters or something?

Then there came a following, "psst" calling towards me. I looked around for the source and saw a familiar face, hiding behind a willow tree's leaves and vines.

"A-Aaron?" I stuttered not believeing my eyes, "What are you doing here?" my tone was filled with hatred and betrayal as I stood up to fully turn to him.

He looked at me with guilt in his eyes as he said, "I'm sorry. I didn't know there was a tracker in it."

"I don't care about what you have to say right now. I'm betrayed right now by you so sorry doesn't cut it." I replied with hurt and anger as I curled my hands to fists and with out knowing, my eyes turned golden yellow but faded.

"Look, it wasn't me!"

"THEN WHO WAS IT! STOP LYING AND TELL ME THE TRUTH THAT YOU DID IT!" I looked to him snarling until I smirked to myself saying, "Then tell me how you came to this dimension?"

"Someone told me to."

I looked at him not even believing every single word.

"Ha! You think I will take that answer? I bet you've been told to stalk me or kill me." I scoffed at him rolling my eyes.

"Oh for Pete's sake Florence, will you listen to me!"

I then fell dead silent but looked at him with 'that' face of 'I don't even care anymore' look unfazed.

"Enlighten me." I growled beneath my breath probing him to gather information, enough to get rid of him and his family. What was his family to my family? What beef did they have with my parents? I couldn't trust him now.

"Look, there is someone after you and your necklace that you are wearing. So, without further adew, I advice you to give it to me and trust me that I will keep it safe." He explained as he waited for me to put my father's gift into his hands.

"No."

"What?"

"You heard me." I furrowed my eyebrows at this.

"But why? I'll keep it safe for you!"

"It's my father's gift to me. Told me to protect it with my life." I replied with a monotonous voice as a matter of fact.

"I said give it to me. I'll keep it safe!" He said taking steps towards me raising his voice at me with every step.

"You are not allowed to talk to women like that. Besides, why so eager?" I hinted suspiciously.

"Oh, blah blah! You think I'm the criminal mastermind behind all this! Just give it to me will you? I don't have time!"

I just looked at him doing nothing crossing my arms, waiting for him to take his leave.

"You of all people should know that!"

I scoffed at that statement.

"And why should I know?"

"Because I have been brought to this dimension to take it and go or else I'll have a beating. Besides the portal can't be open for ever!"

"Have a beating then see if I care."

"Are you serious?!"

"I will not give it to you nonetheless and you are going to LEAVE IT! Understood?!"

"But-"

"Understood." I growled and walked away as Aaron reluctantly ran towards the other direction to be pulled back, into the rift uttering profanities to himself on his way back home to the real world.

"I'll get you back, for this! You have made a grave mistake." Aaron mumbled to himself. Just as the rift closed, Chase McCain and his family of one child and his wife, Sandy, had their day off in that park holding hands, as they were enjoying the fresh air feel upon their cheeks as the breeze whipped their hairs. He then spotted someone familiar who almost looked similar to his previous male officer friend but a different gender. He then took a mental note to look into it afterwards, because right now, he had to spend time with his family.
