Realizing she misunderstood Eragon's intentions, Nami Incredulously asked "You want me to clean for you?"
"That's right" nodding, Eragon looks at Nami while still waiting for her answer.
Nami's grimaced, she didn't believe Eragon was serious at first but seeing his serious expression she understood he wasn't joking at all.
After several minutes of staring at one another, Nami was the first one to give in, lamenting she said "I can't do it. Even if I wanted to, there is something I must do so I can't agree"
"Oh?, And what is that?" Raising his eyebrow, Eragon asked although he could already guess what it was.
Hesitating for a while Nami eventually said "It's best if I show you instead of talking" Turning around, she walked outside of the alley while gesturing for Eragon to follow her.
Wandering around the village Nami started explaining "look at the people's expressions and clothing, do you see how rag they look? Why do you think that is?" Without waiting for him to answer she gnashed her teeth and continued "it's because of those Fishmen!! When they first arrived they demanded that the citizens of the island pay for their lives, 100,000 per adult, and 50,000 per child"
Looking around, Eragon could see that what Nami said was true, everyone was walking around with a dead expression and their eyes didn't have any light in them. Already knowing the full story behind what happened to them in the past, Eragon could sympathize with them. The strong preying on the weak could be seen everywhere in the world, including his past life. He saw with his own eyes what tyrants did to their own people, massacring entire villages under the pretext of being rebels and such.
"I couldn't continue seeing them suffer like this... so I made a deal with the Fishman captain Arlong to buy back Cocoyasi Village for 100 million berry!" Looking at Eragon's face, Nami took a deep breath and said in an apprehensive voice "That's why I stole your money... After being paid, Arlong would have left and you wouldn't have a reason to fight with him anymore.." Saying the last part Nami's voice was quivering.
*Smack*
Hitting Nami's in the back of her head, Eragon reprimand " And you think that's making it alright to steal form me?"
"Ouch, that hurts!" Rubbing the place she was hit, Nami lowered her head downwards and didn't dare argue back.
They continued walking around the village aimlessly without speaking, Nami would sneak a peek at Eragon from time to time to see his reaction while Eragon himself acted like he didn't notice.
"Nami!"
The silence was eventually broken by a shout coming from their backs, turning around they could see a man in police uniforms with short sleeves and a pinwheel on his hat running in their direction. When he got closer Eragon could see his face was scarred quite badly.
Recognizing the person as the Sheriff of Cocoyasi Village, Nami asked in confusion "Genzo, What are you doing here?"
"Huff huff, I'm looking for you! I heard someone kidnapped you??" Bending down with his hands on his knees the man gasped for air as he looked at Eragon with a hostile look.
"Do I look like I've been kidnapped? And when will you take off that pinwheel? You look ridiculous!" Instead of appreciating the man's concern Nami immediately started scolding him.
"W..What?? Not my pinwheel" He immediately grabbed his hat like he was concerned Nami will try to snatch it away from him.
"Anyway I'm busy right now so I will see you later, bye" Grabbing Eragon's hand, Nami started running in the opposite direction, ignoring the scarred man's plea for her to stop.
Feeling Nami soft hand in his own while running, Eragon inquired "Why are we running?"
"Not your business"
Eragon didn't know whatever to laugh or cry 'if it's not my business then why are you dragging me along for?'
Nami eventually stopped running when they reached a house near the end of the village, not letting go of his hand even though they stopped running.
"Where are we?" Scanning the house Eragon couldn't see anything that stands out in particular.
"It's my home" Nami said before she opened the door and entered.
The house was very clean and tidy, It wasn't excessively furnished but quite moderately. Looking around Eragon couldn't see Nami's sister, Nojiko "You live here alone?"
"I live with my sister, she's currently outside working" Pulling a chair, Nami pointed at it and said before going to the kitchen, finally letting go of his hand "Sit down while I bring you something to drink"
A few seconds later Nami returned with a glass full of what Eragon presumed was orange juice "It's not poisoned, right?"
Nami's expression became slightly annoyed, taking the glass back she took a sip before remarking "Satisfied?"
Laughing dryly Eragon took a sip a well.
Before the mood will start to get weird again Eragon guessed it was a good time as any, so he asked smiling" So the reason you can't clean for me is because this Arlong is threatening you, right? But I'm here to hunt him down anyway so after if I kill him you won't have any more excuses heheh"
Watching Eragon laughing, Nami wasn't amused "Didn't you hear what I said earlier? you can't defeat them, even the Marines doesn't come here to help and you think you alone can save us? wake up!!" The more Nami talked the more agitated she got, the last part was her practically shouting.
"Then why are you worried? if I'm killed then you don't need it to pay me back and you can go back to living your life, are you perhaps worried about me?" Eragon's smile spread further on his face as he teased her.
The already agitated Nami snorted " Who is worried about you?? you can go ahead and die for all I care!"
"Excellent" Standing up, Eragon put the empty glass on the table and walked towards the door, Intending to leave.
Taken aback, Nami also stood up and went after him "Where are you going?"
"According to you, to my death"
Anxious, she quickly bypassed Eragon and spread her hands to block the door "Don't go, you will really die!"
Looking at Nami's face, Eragon couldn't help but secretly smile to himself, he really couldn't get enough teasing her "Fine, I won't go under one condition"
Releasing a breath, Nami finally calmed down "What do you want?"
"Give me a kiss and I won't go"
Stunned, Nami's hands froze as she didn't expect Eragon to make such a demand. Before she could speak up, a grin appeared on Eragon's face as he flicked her forehead "Kidding!"
The pain woke Nami up, and just as she was about to curse she saw Eragon turn into a blur and disappear.
"Oh no!"
….
'Hahaha I think if I would have waited a little longer, she might have really kissed me' Running towards Arlong Park, Eragon mused about what just happened 'But I don't want her to kiss me because of a condition, I want her to kiss me in gratitude!'
It didn't take long before he reached his destination, spreading his awareness to the maximum he sensed life signals inside. After considering for a moment he smiled evilly as he thought of an excellent plan.
"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"
Creating three shadow clones they immediately split up in different directions to surround Arlong's building. When everyone was in position they started simultaneously doing different hand signs.
"Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!"
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"
After taking a deep breath two shadow clones released a huge wave of raging fire while Eragon and another shadow clone released a strong gale of wind, making the fire even bigger than it already was.
The fire wave burned everything in its path to ashes effortlessly and when it reached the building, the fire didn't slow down at all but rather tore the building apart like it was made of paper.
*BOOM!*

Looking at the destruction he just made Eragon was surprised, this was the first time he released such a big Jutsu with his shadow clones collaborating together. He didn't even feel exhausted at all and if he really needed to, he could release the combined Jutsu once again, so he did just that!
*BOOM!*

The second fire wave made a huge mess once again and hearing the system notification, Eragon could infer that some fishman probably survived by pure luck the 1st wave.
Hesitating for a moment he decided against releasing another wave and just released his shadow clones before someone noticed them. Although unlikely he concentrated his awareness to search for survivors in the ruins.
After several minutes he managed to sense a faint sign of life buried under the stones.
"Earth Release: Opening Earth Rising Excavation!"
Using an earth Jutsu this time, he forced the fishman underground into the air. Enshrouded in smoke, a scorched body quickly surfaced from the ground.
'Am I really so lucky? It's Arlong!' Even though the face was burned badly, making it impossible to recognize who the fishman was, Eragon would recognize that pointed, jagged nose everywhere!
With a look of sympathy in his eyes, Eragon decided to leave his fate in the hands of Nami and the villagers.
Sitting down next to Arlong he stared at the park gates while thinking 'I better get a kiss for all this or else I will make her clean my stinking socks for weeks!'
