I slammed the door behind me then went to the room, seeing Sorren laying in bed reading wearing only my shirt and my favorite pair of her panties. I dropped my coat then she looked at me and grinned as she closed her book, turning onto her back as I climbed onto the bed, laying over her and immediately kissing her throat.
"Hi to you too, honey." She whispered then I sat up and she grabbed my hips as I pulled my shirt over my head, my boots on the floor somewhere. She sat up some then grabbed my belt, using her body weight to pull me down as I slid my hand up her leg, under the shirt she wore, and to her side.
"You know, Crowe-" I stopped as I kissed her then I sat up, slightly panting as I stared at her.
"Crowe said something to me today, it got me thinking." I whispered as she got my belt open then she looked up at me.
"Talk later."
"She asked when we would get married." We spoke at the same time, but her hands froze as she looked at me.
"What?" She whispered then I cleared my throat.
"Crowe, she uh... She asked, well, Pelna and Libs too, but- Um, they were asking when we would get married." I said and as she laid back on her elbows, I knew I had killed the mood.
"Do-do you want to marry me?" She asked then I cleared my throat, moving to sit next to her.
"Well, yeah, at some point! I mean, I'd love nothing more than to marry you and for you to have my last name, but only when we're both ready. I don't want to take things too quickly-"
"Nyx, it took you two years and five months before you agreed to moving in with me. And it took, what? A year and seven months before you officially asked me to be your girlfriend after I kissed you?" She laughed then moved towards me, sitting on my lap and straddling my legs, her arms around my neck.
"We're not moving too quickly. Crowe and Libs? They moved quick. I mean, they were dating what? A year, then they got married? That's quick. We're not quick, we're slow and old and we like it that way." She said then I laughed, holding her hips.
"Let me show you just how 'old' I am then." I whispered and she grinned as she leaned down and kissed me. I pushed her shirt up then she broke the kiss as I pulled it off her, tossing it to the side. I held her sides then she shoved me down, getting my belt open finally.

"Seriously, when will you two just get hitched already?" Gladio asked as we all hung out in the apartment, though we were still technically unpacking. I looked at Nyx and he gave me the look I knew I had: A look of knowing.
"Whenever we feel like it." I said to our friends then handed Crowe the last of the video games so that she could put them into our entertainment stand.
"Seriously? Come on, even my sister is married already!" Gladio said, but I shrugged.
"We're just not there yet. I mean, if we wanna marry, then we will. We just..." I trailed, at a loss for what to say, but Nyx caught me.
"We're happy how we are." He said then I smiled and nodded.
"Exactly." I said then stood and collapsed the box.
"Just because all of you are married now doesn't mean we have to be." I said then put the box with the others, going to the kitchen to start on dinner.
Nyx's POV
"Dude, really, you just need to ask her already!" Libs harshly whispered, but I rolled my eyes and reached into my pocket, showing him the velvet ring box.
"Yeah, got that, Libertus." I said and Crowe's eyes went wide.
"Holy astrals, are you serious?!" She whispered and I smirked as I slipped the ring box back into my pocket.
"Our anniversary is coming up, so I want to spoil her and ask her then." I said and Crowe silently cheered as she danced in her spot.
"This is-"
"About gods damn time." I looked at Prince Noctis then softly laughed.
"Yeah, I guess I took too long-"
"Nyx!" I heard Sorrentina call and stood, going to the kitchen to see her standing under a cabinet, her arm as high as it could be, but the pepper was out of reach.
"Please?" She whined then I laughed, going over and grabbing the pepper for her.
"Thanks, Nyx!" She smiled then I leaned down, softly kissing her.
"You're welcome." I said and she smiled as I went back to the living room and sat on the ground, opening the box with our movies.
"I've been hearing all of you, though I do tend to be stubborn. I will be the first to admit." I said and they snorted, but Libs gave me a look.
"Though, I know it's taken me awhile, but that's because this is a custom ring. It's taken a long time for it to get made." I said and they eyed me.
"Wait, are you telling us you've been planning this for a long time?" Ignis asked and I nodded, stacking the movies in the entertainment center the way I know Sorren likes things organized.
"I've been planning this since... just after our first year dating." I said and looked at them when they were silent to see them staring in shock.
"What? Is it so bad that I want to keep the woman I love with me?" I asked, but Crowe came over and eyed me.
"No, but we've also never known you to be someone who plans so far in advance." She said and I shrugged.
"Maybe not, but I think she's worth me planning that far in advance." I said and Crowe smiled.
"The stubborn hero learns." She whispered, making me smile.
"Dinner is almost done, everyone!" Sorren called and I looked at her then smiled. Yeah, she's worth planning ahead for.
